This, MGSV gameplay was absolute perfection, i'm excited to see some in game footage for this

Im not touching this game at all. However I actually respect Konami for not making 'Metal Gear Solid 6' or trying to continue the story in some logical way. They've made it so bad shit insane that it can't really offend fans and it's stupid enough for others to enjoy. You can tell they're going for some sort of Walking Dead vibe with the fence nonsense. I'm interested to see what the gameplay is like but I will not be purchasing it. The only money Konami will ever get from me again is an MGS series remaster set.

Y'know, for all the people saying "this sounds more bonkers than usual MGS plots" I'd argue that a half-baked excuse to turn the series into a co-op zombie shooter is just about the most generic, boring direction they could have gone. At least Kojima was entertaining in his madness.

There's a very good chance this won't be a stealth game. You'll have to play it like a straightforward shooter which is not exactly the ideal way to play a MGS game.

He pretty much nailed Konami announcing something, so his info is, more or less legit.

(He had also posted a picture with the file name 'many_worlds', again, before it was announced, and pretty much spoiling the whole alternate reality thing going on with the wormholes).

So if there's something else coming...I don't want to get on this train, but it calls to me.

They had Kojima and Del Toro onboard to make an ACTUAL survival horror/zombie game with one of their other owned franchises and pulled the plug to make this instead?

Utterly clueless. Why would anyone who loves MGS be interested in a generic zombie-survival game with original, generic characters just because it's set in Ground Zeroes for some bizarre reason?

This will fail. Konami have absolutely no idea, do they?

Well they were zombies in mgsv

They were pretty awful, but they were contained in a pretty 'survival horror' scenario. Making a whole game mode....or in this case, an entire game out of it is really played out. Also it doesn't fit with the stealth/infiltration aspect of the series. Even something like Peace Walkers MH collab felt more apt gameplay-wise.

Good side is that we're getting more content with MGSV gameplay, and 4-player co-op "missions".
