There is a Ground Zeroes mission that makes it pretty clear he doesn't give a shit about every game he didn't direct. He didn't write a single line for Rising or have anything to do with the story. You can be sure he would ignore it if he had to make a sequel to MGS4.

I think Kojimas answer would be "why the hell do you care if PO is canon it doesn't change a thing"

In all of Kojima's craziness he never went into alternate dimensions territory. Now we're dealing with some space wizardry shit. Kojima likes to explain why everything happens down to the most ridiculous detail. How do you explain an alternate dimension?

I'm not going to pretend everything introduced in metal gear is remotely the most realistic, heck oddley enough. Metal gear rising in all its crazyness would technically be in a hypotheticall science crazyness be the most " realistic" out of most metal gears.

That said, that doesn't make it line up with everything else. Having alternate dimensions be a part of metal gear, particuarlly showing us that big boss and miller see the damn portal and it being sucked into the sky changes.... well everything.

I mean, I guess you could create some grand conspiracy that the big boss's plan was to open the portal to the other dimension using nuclear energy and that's what happen, and that subsequently explains all his motives, but ... why? What did he think was there?

To this day, I still wonder how many of this series' fans would insist on clinging to any obscure statements that would allow them to invalidate Rising if Kojima's own team had actually succeeded in finishing their version of it. Amusing that even long after the man is gone from the company, along with any real hope for a future for the franchise, that one game is still so effective at getting under their skin.

Peace Walker was actually quite fun in multiplayer, combined with all the over-the-top silly shit they threw in there (a 2-person cardboard tank with working cannon for example, or the Love Box).

Based on this footage though, I'm not seeing the Stealth element. This just straight-up looks like a Horde-mode style game, which as much as I liked MGS V's controls and feel, No fucking thanks Konami.

It might go terribly wrong, but I'm happy to see Konami making an actual new game. Kojima has moved on but the engine and gameplay shouldn't be left behind.

This makes the possibility of other Fox Engine games more likely - we might just get some remakes after all.

I'm not a multiplayer guy. I thought I'd be all over Metal Gear Online but I didn't even play it once.

They had the blueprint already done , just do some more side ops in some new areas and everyone would have loved them . Instead come up with a stupid story , ditch the stealth and make it a online coop game .
