They should have revealed this at an E3 conference to lead people into believe that it was Chapter 3 by the way the trailer began.

The new FFVII remaster trolling announcement.
 
Peace Walker crossed with Destiny crossed with generic zombie survival. It's like my worst nightmare for the Metal Gear series come true.
 
This seems like the result of some focus-group damaged brainstorming made by the executives in Konami.

didn't look bad at all, to me. i think people just want to hate the game because of the konami/kojima situation. i got the exact opposite feeling watching the same video.

The problem was that some of it was accurate.
Not all, but it proved that not everyone involved was trustworthy at the time. I'm not quite foolish enough to leak full-bodied information. Just enough to raise awareness.

The only reason I believe that he's an insider, is because he posted a couple hours before the reveal of Metal Gear Survive, and referred to, correctly, Metal Gear.
 
You know what? I would have had some mild interest in a Co-op MGS. But they lost me at zombies. It's like they couldn't make it more generic even if they tried. Even the characters looks incredibly bland
 
not that i'm expecting much but... interested to see what this actually is. really is no indication whether this is actually zombie horde TPS or what.

This can't be a full priced spin off right?

If I had to guess I'd say this is coming with the Definitive edition of MGS5 to entice people to buy it again, the shared assets between the games would make it easy.

I don't think this is flat out a new standalone Metal Gear, although it could be, just don't think this is a 60 dollar game at all.

Kojima isnt there, and this is the most "what?" thing ive heard about the franchise.
 
This concept is absolutely crazier than anything I could of imagined. This is basically the Orochi Warriors or the Yakuza Dead Souls of Metal Gear Solid. That being said....it could be fun I guess? Weird shit man, I feel delirious now.

I have a feeling that this game may have started life as something else and then Konami decided to 'fold it' into the MGS franchise.

It's the easiest way to keep the MGS franchise ticking along...., I suppose.

They have five games ready to be remastered for a brand new (ok not so brand new but you get my point :P) set of consoles and PC. They also don't plan to make a VI but they would also be crazy not to milk the franchise with something cheap. It makes sense and it fits Konami's MO. The previous generation remasters dont negate any of these.

Don't tell me those fuckers stripped the story in MGSV to put in their shitty co-op game. Makes the disappearance of stuff like the return to Camp Omega make sense.
