Tabata is doing a reverse Q-A experience at gamescom right now. He asked the audience what was their most favorite game (Pokémon Go) and what german food should make the game.

He also said that the Season Pass will not be included in the Ultimate edition and that there are still no plans regarding Type-Next.

I mean, I really don't see how it would be that hard to just email everyone who ordered the UE a code for the season pass. It's an SE store exclusive for christ's sake. Glad GAF convinced me how much of a rip off that edition is.
 
I don't think Type-Next will ever see the light of day. Western reception to the game seemed fairly bleak and Square might not be so keen to carry forward with it on Japanese hands alone.
 
What are your favourite FF games?
- I designed Sin & have the most fond memories of working on FFX (from Art Director Hasegawa)

I'm sure that if the game is developed with console gaming in mind this time and they take inspiration from FFXV it would turn out better. I never thought Type-Next would play anything like Type-0, honestly.

A: We have included those themes but it'll be different to say Tidus & Yuna in FFX

I thought they said Noctis wasn't romantically involved with Luna, but okay.

EDIT: "Luna is a strong modern woman & this comes across in her relationship with Noctis. She's a different kind of heroine to previous FF ones".

It's shocking how much worse the Xbox One version looks. Haven't watched this separated footage yet but I already noticed it during the complete video. Normally you don't even see a big difference with multi platform titles unless you observe Xbox and PS versions under the magnifying glass. But here it is for some reason very visible. On Xbox It's even blurrier, overall worse textures, no anisotropic filtering whatsoever. To me it looks as if the already dialed back lighting is also even worse here. Some scenes like the tomb scene or the chocobo race or Duscae region look pretty bad. There is also hardly any grass in Xbox Duscae. It's just sandy planes with a few bushes here and there.

I feel bad for Xbox users... :/

Is it really shocking? I thought they would outsource it but I guess it running on Luminous makes that impossible.

Since Tabata took over it hasn't been said there's no romance, just that there are elements of romance but it isn't the focus and that Noctis might have trouble expressing his feelings towards Luna.

Didn't they say Luna had "those type" of feelings for Noctis, but he wasn't confident enough to respond?

Basically, he's a herbivore.

I think that bit was wrong from the gameinformer thread. It was later change to I believe Noctis doesn't know what to do with how he feels or something along those lines.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, sounds like more of a modern fizzle than a great love story.

Although unrequited love has oft set the bards to sing, hard to imagine that being the case here.

I thought most of her work would have been ready since Versus days.

Q: Is there any post game content?
A: I won't say too much but there's some areas (& monsters) you can only reach/fight once you beat the game

Why if the game was barely in active development and wasn't moving anywhere.

She's always said that she hasn't done much work on Versus.

I thought she mentioned once on Twitter during E3 2013 that she is looking forward to showing fans the music she composed for the game. That sort of implies that she did more work on Versus than what was publically shown.

She said the work left to do on Versus as a "mountain".

Besides, Tabata said that he wants to include "everything" that Shimomura had composed for the game when she was doing a Q&A with him. This included Omnis Lacrima, Somnus, the summon theme, etc.

Who knows, the Ominous Latin Chanting track from the Uncovered trailers sounds like it could very well be from Versus.

Anyway, it's a small thing. If it didn't fit the game, it would be cut anyway. I just don't see a difference from tracks in Versus to FFXV that seems like stuff would need to be cut. Nothing's suggested that.

That goes without saying. The cutting room floor of every studio has far more content than the actual finished games.

I don't think its ever been said that romance was off the table in regards to Versus or the current 15 now that i think about it...
