Someone was slamming on the keyboard too much, maybe that's why the game was delayed.
I blame Matt.

Don't be ignorant, guys, they are reaching out in Gnxdmlbslvb fans in Gnxdmlb. :/
Battle system and music look good. Visuals still need a lot of work.I haven't checked the thread or the video because I'm on medio blackout.. but I'm too curious: as a general perception, how do you see this video? good? bad? mediocre? amazing?

Once he knew he wanted to avoid that patch, Tabata says he estimated that two months would be enough to put that content on the disc and allow for extra time to make the visuals as complete as possible.
It would take about one month exactly to fit everything we wanted in the day one patch into the disc version. And with that, pretty much all of the technical issues would be sorted out, he said. And then we thought that after we got that technical base down and there were no problems there, its one more month to polish everything up and get it really great. And thats why it was two months.
The level of quality that the fans are all expecting...wasnt quite there yet.
The main thing there is working on fixing the bugs which affect the visuals of the game, polishing that up and doing the final optimization push. The other thing, I think we can get much closer to that perfect game balance in that final balancing period as well, to make it a game thats really fun and easy and comfortable to play for any kind of player.
to try and bring this back to the 50 minute video. Watched an analysis vid and some pretty interesting stuff that we've pretty much all missed.
Link here if you want to watch it, has some misinformation in some parts
Its mostly small stuff but basically the bits we missed are:
- Chest icon on the mini-map. Seems like chests are in.
- The Cocytus is an elemental weapon. Always love those :3
- The Engine Blade was a birthday gift (lol)
- Engine Blade makes the same (or at least similar) revving noise heard in the original versus reveal trailer.
- Clinging onto a warp point uses stamina (same as running) so you can't just stay there and be safe out of harms way forever anymore.
- The game will let you know when treasure or mining (elemental stuff) is nearby.
- There's an advert for Cup Noodle on a billboard (lol)
- another Royal Arm(?) called "swords of the wonderer"
and some stuff I noticed that the video guy didn't:
- Chocobo sprinting seems to take out a bit of stamina at a time for a moment of sprinting, its not like a run. But Chocobo's regain stamina over time, its not like FF12's Gysahl Greens (yay!)
- Iris is actually a "party member" in the scenes were they are walking around together. Her HP is measly though, but it does give cadence to the idea that she is an added guest member
Isn't this a long winded way of saying the games not ready? I bet this game still releases with a day one patch.
That said I'm not too upset at the delay, I'd rather they take the extra time they need and make it as good as they can. They must be gutted about having to do this. Still hoping it's good.
well of course its going to have a day one patch......what game doesn't? Even some insanely polished launch games had day one patches. There are always optimizations and fixes to be done.
The facebook page even shared the tweet lol
It was obviously Tabata being too much drunk on German beer
That tweet already has more likes and retweets now than their tweet about the 50-minute gameplay video.
Clearly it's some secret message, time for detective gaf to do their work!

It's probably just Mat still learning to play the Titan Demo.
That's my point, them saying they wanted to put the patch on the disk doesn't stop another day one patch. Just say it's not ready.
APZonerunner was saying the build he played kept crashing/glitching out. It's clear they just need more time.Isn't this a long winded way of saying the games not ready? I bet this game still releases with a day one patch.

Maybe they hired someone new for viral marketing ?
I'm looking at the official screens...and they honestly might be the worst batch they could have possibly released.
People may mock him but it's difficult to disagree with what he says.
Goddamned hog.
Maybe that's Nojima creating a new game's scenario?

Tabata's IGN interview gave me a lot of confidence in the final product.
My hype is rekindled, whatever was lost anyways.
Has the UK box art been finalized yet? I've had a quick look at the different versions on sale and none of them have the standard logo and text on an all-white background. Gross full-page action shot of the characters, and even the classic font and logo design is gone... That's not going to fit in well with the rest of my shelf. Wanted it to take Vagrant Story's place =(

There is a reversible cover with the classic logo.
But the background is black
Actually isn't the EU reversible cover white?

Holy crap, please be true.
EDIT: YES! Thank you!
Twitter made a mistake, I believe it's black.
