Final Fantasy XV - 50 min video

It's probably just Mat still learning to play the Titan Demo.

ugh you're right.. sorry

I was sure I read that somewhere when it was revealed

EDIT here

terrible mistake
That day we originally thought EU version had white background but then someone pointed out that the background will be black for everyone :(.

I would've loved a classic white background. I'm getting the deluxe edition anyway.

By the way, do we have the cover artwork...

...in higher resolution for a desktop wallpaper? :)

The EU reversible cover is black...

I think it looks great on black. It stands out from the rest of the series' box arts because it was meant to stand out from them and specifically FFXIII. The small moon in the dark with a static sleeping figure was always meant to contrast with the bigger, more solar Pulse with lunging entities.

Damn. Thanks for it clearing that up though. I know they want it to stand out by being black, but I hate that idea. What if they go on to design XVI to stand out? Then XVII? So on, and so on. What if XV ends up being a pretty mediocre game, all the future games are back to white, and I HATE that it stands out from the rest? Bleugh. I love having a whole shelf in my display cabinet filled with classy white FF games.

Ewww, no thanks. Awful design. Even from a purely technical perspective it fails to draw the eye to a particular point. Way too many dividing lines.

I don't know if this helps, but since it's not a very complicated cover it shouldn't be difficult to print your own with a white background in a good quality. I'm sure someone is already working on one.

I'm pretty sure the logo was originally designed to be against a black background. The red outlining on the right makes that very clear to me.

That's interesting that they specifically say North America editions are reverseable.... Hope the Canadian bilingual version doesn't fuck it up as they usually do.

I believe that Nomura wanted the cover background to be black. Nomura wanted FFVII's cover to be a Meteor image drawn by Amano but then Sakaguchi said that they shold go with the traditional logo + back background.

Or maybe he simply doesn't have anything to do with this and it's just the marketing team's decision, this was just a silly speculation.

LOL. FFXV featured on a fishing magazine/channel where they checked out fishing games at gamescom :D

EDIT: He was impressed by how detailed and realistic it is and how passionate the developers are about fishing.

lol @ Tabata just standing there with a fish in his hand while the fishing enthusiast goes on and on

japanese FFXV Twitter account posted a picture (off screen) showing amazing quality of the visuals, way better than the footage on youtube. Everything seems high res in the picture even in the distant everything is sharp and nice. Whats going on here, is this the PC build with modded PS buttons? lol

Uh no, the bush lined directly in front of Noctis looks like a PS1 texture.

Fishing looks really good here. Also the fishes and water. I love that you could see seaweed and rocks at the bottom of the sea and some bits of foam floating on the water surface. They are definitely putting a lot of work in this.

I'm about to puke......this fish eye reflection bullshit with water......is more disgusting then any graphical problem I have with the game period....this shit would actually drive me insane....the fact that a chunk of bar on the left and right don't display reflections but instead remove it.

UntidyMildBarasinga.gif

please tell me this is intentional because he is fishing

However when they showed that most recent trailer with the Florence song.....the reflections in the water did the exact same shit

It's really the only annoying part for me. I love the look of the game, and know it will look fantastic in motion....but how can a giant chunk of screen get cut off like that for reflecting the water? It's insanely jarring

a bit LTTP I guess, just watched it today. oh boy, that voice acting! it felt like a high budget egoraptor episode. I was expecting some of the characters shouting "Kenpachi Rama Sama!".

but didn't know monster hunting is back in this one. I'm now interested in this game!

I think its when the camera is zoomed out that it happens. At least i hope. I noticed it in the world of wonder video also, but again its zoomed out.
