Hopefully they don't market it as a console built specifically for VR and 4K like Microsoft is doing with Scorpio. They should just market it as a console built to give a bit more boost to games - nothing more and nothing less. I hope they don't spend a lot of time talking about the Neo and keep the focus on the games coming to all their platforms.
What do you guys think the chances are of Witcher 3 getting a Neo patch? It might be the push I need to do one last playthrough and 100% the whole thing.
Zhuge plus the guy in this thread that quickly changed his comment because he doesn't want to go through getting verified. Just feels like more and more people are saying November this morning.
Isn't Neo/Slim or SFW 4.0 allowing you to directly connect one PS4 to another? So you could transfer the HDD contents, or just nearly zero-lag on SFV etc.
It surely has to be on the same date as PSVR. It does make the most business sense with them been complementary products... mind on the other hand if the PSVR first wave is sold out they might want to wait tI'll there's more retail units ready.

Meh, mostly speculation and stuff based off of tweets like that. November is just as realistic as October but allows additional production time as well as it being a good month for a console release.

If there is no money involved, why would they do that? It means lots of extra work with unknown outcome financially.
I think 1st party has to deliver, then perhaps 3rd party may also release patches if it is worth for them.
Zhuge's recent tweets about the neo are the definition of "see I implied that, I knew all along!" and "I never outright said it would happen, people just assumed" type shit.

Hm - not really sure what you're talking about. It was just a joke, but not a good one so I deleted it.
I'm just here excited/intrigued about Neo like everyone else. Have kind of convinced myself if it's £349 then I'll buy one... especially if it has RDR.

Yeah i would not put any money on the Nov myself I am hoping for next year to be honest as psVR on preorder and dont think I can justify getting both, not that i can't afford it, just a lot of money and got to save up for Kinda Funny Live 3
Throughout the 360/PS3 gen (where the 360 had a stronger GPU) and throughout this (where the PS4 has a stronger GPU), I've found that the Sony first party studios have consistently put out more visually and technically impressive titles.
If it was just this gen, I'd chalk it up to power. But they did so last gen too with stuff like UC2-3, TLOU, God of War 3 and Beyond.
Seen Android as example. If I want to develop something for my Moto g(first generation) which is using Android 5.1 officially, I would only target between 24,1%(^1) and 36.6%(^2) of Android users(devices active on Google Play).
That makes me do tough decisions... Large user base vs what I want do deliver. And if you are working for a company, most of the times the "large user base" will win. That's why I also had to support old IE(Internet Explorer) versions with JavaScript and CSS...
The mobile, PC and console main users have some similarities. They want a device that runs their game of choice, and they don't jump to new tech as soon as they know about it. It take years. For that part a single PS4 is doing it's job. And doing iterations wouldn't affect the OG hardware adoption.
The main advantage for iterations is high tech at reach. Runing games on ultra/60fps is beautifull, of course. It's not for everyone, but for some. That's good for them and us they are doing it. There is even a share market who have the money to upgrade and don't even know(and don't want to) how to build a PC. We gotta give that consoles are easy plug-n-play devices, that mostly runs without a headache and don't broken drivers while having a birthday.
TLDR; Iterations are good to reach a new public that moved on to PC and give us better games, but it could make things sluggish as supporting the OG version with restrictions.
I'm typing from my phone... So give me a discount

Technically they aren't as good and they're much smaller so their games will be less frequent which will also diminish the perceived gap between the two.
