I don't care if he had a gun. The situation shouldn't have occurred in the first place, and the PD not releasing the video is still suspect as fuck.

His past has fuck all to do with this situation. He was not the person the cops were looking for. He was in his car. The cops reacted poorly, no matter what he had in the truck and in his hands.

That one eye witness says the gun was planted. I'm still interested in seeing the dash and bodycam vid.
It should be irrelevant but it's not. Now people will openly dismiss this incident and say the cops were in the right, by saying well why did he have a gun? He had priors? Guess he was no angel.Him having a gun wouldn't change anything, they had no reason to approach him like that so it's immaterial. It just looks even worse if he didn't have a gun at all.

Stabilized video. Take a close look at the cop with the red shirt around the 1 minute mark. He takes a step back over something in the ground. For the rest of the video he doesn't take more then one more step away from it. Something is there.
Last few pages have been people saying he didn't have a gun, the wife/witnesses said he didn't have a gun and the cops probably planted one if there was one. Now we get some clearer evidence that makes it look like he did have a gun and people just brush it off as "Oh it doesn't matter".
Well first of all we don't even know who's gun that is, it could very well be a gun that the red shirted cop dropped.

Why would the cop just drop his gun to the ground and let it lay there ?

Holy goal post moving. Do you really think police just drop their guns and casually stand over them and don't pick them up.
Can't even watch that video. The side parts need to be blacked out as it makes me feel sick
why wouldnt you care? If it is a gun, wouldnt that question why the family has lied repeatedly?
He has no gun,
it was a book.

The Intercept said:After a second night of angry protests over the fatal shooting of Keith Scott by a police officer in Charlotte, North Carolina, the city’s police chief admitted that dashcam video of the incident, which has not been made public, does not include “absolute, definitive, visual evidence that would confirm that a person is pointing a gun.”
Holy fucking speculation, because the point still stands that we don't know who's gun it is, or even if it's actually a gun. Pretty sick that people go "oh yep there's a gun, now what do people say to excuse him getting shot?"
.
The cop in red was clearly trying to frame him with his own finger prints on the gun. DUN DUN DUN.
Very possibleEver thought that he might have gotten a gun and hid it from his family?
And the entire officer's reason for firing in the first place is thrown into question by the words by the police chief:
This is a video that the family has seen and wants to be made public but isn't. If there was still any reason to shoot, why would the family want the dashcam video they've seen released?
It's great that you can enjoy yourself here. I guess you're enjoying some kind of victory, in your own mind?
You're a class act.
Meanwhile, even if Keith Scott did have a gun on his possession...he didn't have to die.
Jesus fucking Christ.

No, just tired of people jumping to conclusions much like the topic title.
Perhaps you should stop doing it then, Mr. "oh so there's no more comments now".
No, just tired of people jumping to conclusions much like the topic title. I judge every case individually.
Seems like people want to throw every accusation at the police and see which sticks by the end.
You realize you're doing the same exact fucking thing right? Just shut the hell up. We get it you need a validation as to why a black man was murdered and your friendly neighborhood cops can be "justified". People like you are sickening.

People actually think that is a gun???
People actually think that is a gun???
Despite how you're playing it Oxn, this ain't a game. There's a reason people are asking for the videos to be released, so that we can clear up the misinformation that is coming from one side or the other.
Try not to be so shitty about a man's death.
People actually think that is a gun???
I too want the video. Im quite a logical person, and base my opinions on evidence.
Charlotte police union official acknowledges I didnt quote facts on out-of-state protesters
A spokesman for Charlottes Fraternal Order of Police told CNN that 70 percent of the protesters arrested in Charlotte this week were from out-of-state. But he acknowledged Friday that his statement was nothing more than speculation.
It was also inaccurate, according to a Charlotte Observer review of police reports.
Of the 43 people arrested late Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, 34 or 79 percent live in Charlotte, the Observer found. Most of the others live elsewhere in North Carolina, including Albemarle, Gastonia and Greensboro. Three others were arrested Thursday night; of those, two were from Charlotte and the third had not been identified by midafternoon Friday.
I didnt quote facts, Todd Walther, spokesman for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Fraternal Order of Police told the Observer on Friday. Its speculation. Thats all it was.
Thursday, Walther told CNN that most of those arrested were not from North Carolina.
He called them instigators that are coming in from the outside.
If you go back and look at some of the arrests that were made last night, I can about say probably 70 percent of those had out-of-state IDs, said Walther during the TV interview.
The CNN segment has been shared widely on social media and on conservative media outlets.
Friday, Walther acknowledged that his comment was based on conjecture. He said he didnt review arrest reports before the interview and hasnt seen them after.
Also Friday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police chief Kerr Putney said he announced a midnight curfew during Thursday nights peaceful march when his officers learned that a violent group of protesters were coming to Charlotte from South Carolina. He did not elaborate.
Not to change the subject, but there was a claim earlier that 70% of the people arrested in Charlotte due to the protests were from out of state. That was false.

This self-analysis, to me, usually signals that you might not be self-critical and can't grasp what's outside your perspective. Think about this thread and topic more like that. Your word and vision aren't automatically on point.I too want the video. Im quite a logical person, and base my opinions on evidence.

Which there isn't any clear video of said evidence which means you are pulling shit from your ass. Even if he had a gun it's an open carry state so he was in his legal right to do so. How's about you base your "opinions" around actual fact.
