Is the PS4 pro supposed to improve the vr experience?
The real difference will be more video power in the GPU. If the spec sheets are right, it will do nothing for tracking. Just make VR look better and run smoother

What makey you think they haven't tried different stuff?
Half of the internet brought that stuff up last week...
Tracking going to shit again.
Let's atleast wait until the honeymoon period wears off a bit.
I don't understand these posts. It's not "Wow, I can't believe this thing is 400 dollars", it's "Oh, so this is why this thing is only 400 dollars".$399 US dollars

Pretty sure his comment is inferring that $400 (for the headset alone) is a lot to spend on what seems to be several steps down from a consistently solid VR experienceI don't understand these posts. That's why I was saying that shouldn't be the response. It should be more along the lines of "the reason this thing is not as good as the other ones is because it is considerably cheaper", as opposed to "this is too much money to spend for something that isn't perfect". At this stage, you do have a better option, it just costs a lot more because they're really expensive to make. The 7 year old tech in these things is the only reason it's not more expensive.Pretty sure his comment is inferring that $400 (for the headset alone) is a lot to spend on what seems to be several steps down from a solid VR experience
Did you turn off the porthole view? Or did that not matterFor the record, the only Mech game I tried today was Rigs. Full price, didn't make it through tutorial - was physically sick.
This isn't about the honeymoon period, it's about whether the headset has a problem with drift or not. So far, pretty much everyone who's encountered drift have managed to fix it by either turning off a light, readjusting the camera to make sure they faced it head on, or closing the drapes.Let's atleast wait until the honeymoon period wears off a bit.
Why are you so bothered by their setup? Brad (the guy on the sofa) hasn't complained about tracking today, so obviously their studio isn't interfering as much as you think.
Any complaints today seem mostly down to poor quality software.

Just joined the stream, anything in particular they mentioned ? Do they still feel it's not worth the asking price for now ?
I don't get why people still put so much weight on GB's negative experiences with PSVR when we have literally hundreds of gaffers playing around with it right now, without any major issues so far.
So plug in and play then! This isn't about the honeymoon period, it's about whether the headset has a problem with drift or not. You must have missed the Vive and Rift GB threads.
People that can't afford, don't like the PS brand, or missed getting a launch PSVR are going to look for reasons to not get one. Makes them feel justified in their decision or limitation. You will see these people and posts in every major hardware thread.
Unfortunately, due to me being dumb enough to order from Shopto, my headset isn't likely to arrive until Monday. Did get to hang out with a friend today and play with his though. No issues. So plug in and play then!
Rigs looked kinda boring there.

Like, if this doesn't make people nausious... then why do so many games focus on the teleport to move mechanic?
This looks ok, hardly anything amazing.
Still waiting for the killer app but I wasn't expecting that at launch. Haven't seen something like that since Wii Sports.
Shit. Shit. I just realised what VR game I want to come to fruition.

I wonder what shenahaigans Dan Ryckert will pull in todays episode.
There. They addressed the set up. AGAIN. Hopefully people will stop with "they don't know what they are doing".
If I were to get a PSVR right now, it would be for Thumper, REZ Infinite, Super Hypercube & The Playroom VR
