Right, and there are only two months left in the year and it is supposedly going to be announced/mentioned this year. As such, what is wrong with just telling people, "Okay, we're going to announce this on ???"? It isn't as if we're still at the beginning of the year and the reveal is months away.

What bugs me though is that Emily being right in this instance likely won't change the mind of people who constantly hate on her and accuse her of always being wrong.
To clarify a little bit, a big reason I continue to defend her other than the fact that she's a friend is I know some of her sources from back when I ran NotEnoughShaders. I know personally that some of her sources are absolutely, 100% legit, without question. That doesn't mean she isn't fed shit from some sources but she doesn't have an ulterior motive and only does this for fun. She reports on what she hears and that's it.

She admitted in her tweets that she fed NateDrake information, so if he knows anything it is because she is one of his sources. Ultimately, her sources bear the responsibility, but since we don't know who they are, it is only her credibility that is being destroyed by her trust in someone who is very hit/miss. She appears to have sources that are not very reliable.

Jesus Christ, I feel sad for the people who got hyped on those rumors. Today that is such a laughable thing to even have considered happening. Now that I think about it, what if all of these leaks were true but we switched to a timeline in which they are fake? That has to be it! Eureka! Watch the latest AVGN episode, it'll explain how what I'm saying is true and how Berenstein Bear's spelling proves it!
She likely has different sources, some more correct/in-the-know than others. Her real mistake is likely reporting on stuff too early or maybe reporting on outdated info.
I think we should wait for nx reveal before fully discrediting all of her rumors. She reports on a lot of different things that she hears from several sources. She's been right about a lot of things and wrong about a handful of things and people are quick to dismiss ALL of her rumors for the small tidbits she got wrong.
Everyone is free to choose to believe what they want and who they want. Emily still has a lot of rumors that have yet to be proven false, so the rational thing to do is just wait it out and see.
Stop trying to burn her at the stake. Ignore her and move on.

When would the next investors meeting be? I would assume it would have to be next year. So Nintendo would definitely want the NX reveal to happen before the next investors meeting next year, assuming it's going to launch March 2017.

I am not attacking her as a person, but her journalism needs a lot of work. She has been wrong so many times and appears to be rather gullible or shares too much without doing enough homework. You would think after a while you would adjust your methods to remove any half-baked rumors. She seems more interested in getting as much out there instead of guaranteeing what she shares as being true.
I don't disagree but you're on quite the witch hunt at the moment. Major outlets are wrong about rumors all the time, that's why they're called rumors.

I think some people really need to take a step back and see how they approach the announcement of announcement of their latest kid's toy.
So the thing is... when exactly is Nintendo going to reveal the thing, if it's not happenning this October? November/December are crazy months, filled with games launching, special sales and whatnot.
