I see the dock as having chips to handle all the OS and non gaming features while the console is stationed. That way the system is entirely focused on over clocking itself for 1080p output.
Do we know if this thing has 3.5 mm headphone jack ?

The trailer featured the type of demographic who buy iPhones, not Nintendo handhelds. I think they are dreaming if they think 'non standard gamers' are going to buy this thing. In significant numbers that is.
Too big for an ultra portable handheld, far too underpowered to compete with Scorpio and PSPro at home. Not sure what niche this is going for other than "it plays Nintendo games!"
And being the odd one out in terms of specs will doom third party support if it doesn't shift big numbers out the gate.

I dont think that is actually the answer to the problem with the handheld market before though. Like does anyone think Vita failed because the games werent AAA console style enough?
I think he means in terms of how the Gamecube was also kind of touted as the console you bring with you (to friends places, etc) because of the handle and cube like shape and size.
So was there ever anymore information about when you go into mobile mode, its a "version" of the dock mode game?
I just realized in the video they are playing NBA2K is mobile mode, but its no way they are playing the full game with just half of the joy-con

Not sure if serious.
I really hope it does, as without it its just a more convenient take on having a vita and a PSTVDoes the docking station have any guts to it, or is it just a dock with through ports and whatnot?
I find the snapping sound very satisfying![]()
Mine's going to be locked away in a cabinet and used only like a traditional console probably.
About which part? How does this attract new consumers to Nintendo? Price seems like it will be expensive and it will be going against ps4 pro and Scorpio.
My thread got locked. Ill try here.
I dont tknow that i will need it anymore once Switch releases. My assumption is that anything good on it will have spruced up ports on the new Switch, making my WiiU obsolete quickly. Even if i threw it in my bedroom, isnt that the point of the Switch? To be in every room?
Are you keeping your WiiU? Selling it? Gifting it?
Well, I think that's by far the most awful design Nintendo ever came with.I despise the misaligned left and right analog sticks. Why the hell would they do this to their Pro Controller when they executed it perfectly last-gen?
How many more buttons do you need to play a NBA2K?

Yo having the face buttons below the analog stick is some kind of satanic magic.
It's both.
No other Nintendo hardware has been rumored so far.
Considering the fact that they dissolved their seperate console/mobile ssoftware dev teams and combined them into one entity says to me that this is it.
No 4ds no third pillar
I'm curious about the controllers...
Since they can be detached, they obviously need to each have their own batteries. For now I'm assuming the only way to charge them is when the screen module itself is charging or when they're connected to that Grip.
Interesting, it's a top....and a bottom.
Quite the opposite... I'm buying a second one as spare. Are you keeping your WiiU? Selling it? Gifting it?
