Good grief. Trump is an insult to our democracy and has shown again and again and again he has no place in the Oval Office.

If he wins with majority contorl of house and senate then people are in for a rude awakening and suddenly those protest votes and apathetic voters won't seem so funny.

There are still a lot of votes out in very blue areas of the remaining states to early to call, so maybe things will change.
 
I told you yesterday to mark my words it would be a VERY tight race. No one listened. Mark my words now - IT'S NOT OVER. I still have Hillary winning with 275. Watch.
 
Per projections seems Clinton held onto Washington but narrowly as I noted earlier; big Republican gains (seriously this board is terrible to 2020 come back).

Minnesota looks a bit soft?

Go to Germany or Spain.
The right wing in both countries is far from being relevant.
Spain just endured a long period of political fuckery without voters falling for right wing demagogues and Germany as a whole is built to aggressively reject any form of upcoming nationalism, so both countries are unlikely to have relevant right wing movements anytime soon.

I'm terrified to post online that I think the "preferred pronouns" movement is a bit wacky. That's how crazy the left has gotten.

The problem is they don't see themselves that way. They may just believe simple talking points that are disastrous for those people. "I want lower taxes" becomes "no healthcare for working poor minorities" and then we have a problem because those 2 aren't understood the same and telling them they're selfish assholes breeds animosity but didn't really solve the issue.
 
I just want to say this, if you don't consider yourself racist, sexist, transphobic, etc. yet you vote for and enable someone who's racist, sexist, transphobic, then you're really not much better than him. So no one really cares about whatever distinction you're trying to make after that, go sit in a corner and talk to yourself or something.

I am in a state of complete shock right now. I literally cannot believe this is happening.
 
I mean you can blame white people all day, and it's deserved, but it seems likely that we are getting this result in large part due to minorities not turning out and/or voting Trump as well. Ignoring the issues with Hillary herself, many men from all cultures simply will not vote for a women.
 
We have had commonplace mass shootings for the last x period of time, and done nothing about it.
We have a supreme court seat still unfilled
Most of congress refuses to do their jobs, and many are bought and paid for
we have people waving confederate flags in a lot of areas
and we have a media that does nothing but pass false information out as true with no effort to correct things or help cure the insane amount of ignorance that permeates our country
Hell, we fucking glorify willful ignorance and misinformation.
and so, so much more.

this is the culmination of all of the bullshit we continue to put up with and do nothing about and it hurts me to say that this is not nearly as surprising as I'd like it to be.
