Buying a 4K TV for PS4K thread!

Do you know of any decent 75" for less than $2500? Or do I need to wait for next year?

It seems like the 75" version of the KS8000 is not sold in the US.

Got mine shipped from ups :( hope it's OK it'll arrive at the mail forwarding place Thursday and then forward it off to me in Canada hope it doesn't come fucked up cause I can't really return it lmfao

Is there a consensus out there on which Pro game will be the best to showcase a new 4K HDR TV? I have a Pro and a KS7000 coming on Thursday and went to to immerse myself in the best looking game from the start.

It seems from what I've read that Tomb Raider has had a decent amount of effort put in by the devs, but I haven't read much on some of the other recently patched or released games.

Got a shipping notice, FedEx.

Can we schedule the timing? does anyone know? My friend won't be home until 5PM

Ratchet probably.

Infamous Second Son and First Light probably.

Woot, I got email confirmation 10mins ago.

Mine shipped with AGS, will call them tomorrow to figure out delivery date.

I ordered around noon saturday.

I got my delivery confirmation call from Best Buy today, so my 55" KS8000 should be here tomorrow morning. Here's hoping it arrives in good shape and I fare well in the panel lottery!

What a ride this TV order has been.

Placed order.
Few days later, went drinking. Decided I didn't need a new TV.
Send cancellation email.
Sober up, realize my mistake. Send disregard cancellation email.
Call next business morning assuring order is wanted, rep tells me we're cool. Won't be cancelled.
Get email later that evening, order has been cancelled.
Call rep, nothing she can do.
Day later, get shipping confirmation.

FedEx is shipping my TV. There is no way to specify the timing. What happens if no is hope to receive the TV?

Edit: I got home and saw the side of a package on my front porch. I got all excited only to see it was way too small to be a TV, and was instead a fucking hamper my fiancé ordered. Huge letdown.

I bet you get a new TV down the line before you get a new hamper, so instead of being let down, be happy for the great investment! Unless she wants to change the home decor, then all bets are off bc that hamper's gone.

Enjoying my first night of 65" ks8000 television viewing. DQ Builders looks absolutely phenomenal on the regular PS4 - I cannot wait for the Pro to arrive Thursday!

Just got the shipping information.
Can't believe I'm upgrading from an old plasma.

Hopefully I'm able to talk to fedex about the delivery or am able to pick it up from the facility.

FWIW:
Ordered late Friday evening.
Shipped yesterday (but Samsung page didn't update till tonight - sometime in the last hour).
Arriving tomorrow.
65" ks8000

Don't they typically deliver the replacement TV the same day they pick up the damaged one? At least you would know on the spot whether the replacement is good.

I opted to just get a full refund. I should have just gone to my local Best Buy and bought it there. I believe it is still the same price as the amazon deal I got.

Is there a big difference between the Sony XBR55X850D and the Sony XBR49X800D besides the size? I heard the "dim lighting" or something is something the 55 has but the 49 inch one doesn't? I want to get one or the other but want to know if the extra $200 is worth it if there's better quality with the 55 (not just size difference). I want to order it tonight.

I ordered a 65'' KS8000 early Sunday afternoon and just got a shipping confirmation. Looks like it will get delivered tomorrow via Ontrac since it is already a few miles from my house, but there is no confirmed delivery date yet.

65" ks8000

Bizarre at how fast some of you are getting this delivered. I ordered my 65" KS8000 last Monday and it is being delivered tomorrow.

Guys I keep getting messages about EPP invites. I'm sorry I had all mine out already on the night the deal was going on. You'll have to look elsewhere.

X850D is a better television overall. However, input lag higher in the X850D. But it has better motion and processing. Both televisions are mid range HDR televisions.

Really depends on what you need it for.

Not to derail the thread or anything, but aren't folks better off waiting for CES at this point? January is only a couple months away.

Bought the 65" LG B6 Oled tonight. Ran it through some testing, and man, does it look awesome right out of the box. Can't wait until I get it properly calibrated. Haven't gamed on it yet, but fingers crossed the lag doesn't bother me. I should double check what my old TVs input lag is for comparison.

With the deals that happened over the weekend - if you wanted a 4K HDR TV it was a safe buy. Anything announced at CES will be super expensive for about a year.

CES is where they announce upcoming technology and sets. However, you won't see those sets until April to August and beyond in 2017. That is a long time especially if you're picking up a PS4 Pro this holiday.

Why do we have quite a few 4k HDR TVs but no one was smart enough to release monitors for the launch of PS4 Pro/ XB1 S?? -_-
Wondering the same thing. I really want to get a monitor soon, we can't be the only ones.

It's always best to wait a few months. Always. Either the prices drop or new toys are on the horizon.

My XD93 was £2000 in April, now come November it's £1600 and with cashback and selling the soundbar, nearer £1300.

Switched my faulty KS9000 for the Panasonic 58" 902B. Very happy here now, TV is fantastic with no issues :)
Contrats! How do the PQ on those sets compare, especially contrast and clarity? 902 is obviously FALD, but what about everything else?

And how much did it cost btw? It's £4000 here :(

All these people getting their shipping confirmations! Still waiting on mine for the 55" that I ordered on Saturday morning. The wait is painful!

What did they say when you called yesterday?

They were able to look up what they called "snapshot" from when I ordered to see how many were in stock at that point.

They confirmed that when I ordered there were plenty of available units and that I should have a notice within 48hours, I got the shipment notice about 8hours later.
