Fantastic. Thanks! It looks good but here is some feedback:

  • Make the details heading text bold (Developer: Xyz, etc).
  • On a monitor the text block is too thin. 1/3 of the screen width is not wide enough. Perhaps try 1/2?
  • Consider including a PSN store link and link to the game's website.
  • Instead of "DS4 compatible" show Controllers: DS4 only, or "2 x PS Move or DS4".
  • Add a "PS4 Pro enhanced" moniker if there's a PS4 Pro version.
  • If you know any technical details such as resolution, framerate or anti-aliasing then it would be good to include them, otherwise your general impressions of how crisp the image looks (some games render below 1080p and upscale to the headset).

Cheers for the feedback! I'm actually writing it on a monitor and it looks fine to me. Will try and figure out how to change it though. Haven't kept a blog/maintained a website in years, but I'll get there.

They're all good suggestions though and will keep improving it as I go.
 
One thing after spending a considerable amount of time in VR that I prefer when it comes to adding intensity of any kind is audio cue rather than visual distortion of any kind.

Increasing the magnitude of audio works far better than adding blur, lines, hue or brightness changes when emphasising different situations such as speed, close proximity, enemy direction, ect. I find that adding these visual distortions detract from the overall experience, whereas in traditional gaming these are vital but a hindrance when it comes to VR as it takes me out of the experience slightly. In Windlands a standard platform section becomes far more engrossing by adding in the the sound of wind whipping past and increases the intensity of the height you are at, with this visual clarity is maintained which is paramount to all experiences and senses are heightened.
 
Loaded up Batman for the first time in ages tonight. Was doing the Bird Cage mission, and jumped out my skin when
Croc jumped out of the water
.

Are there more jump scares coming up? I fucking hate jump scares.

Trackmania VR mode went up yesterday but most people are dissappointed you can only play in the dedicated VR mode.

Star Trek: Bridge Crew as both single and multiplayer. Including procedurally generated missions to keep it interesting. But yeah the basic principle is to work together, each at a different station on the bridge. (Captain, Ops, Tactical, Engineering.)
 
Just played Robinson. Definitely feel pretty sick trying to walk around. I guess between the demos and Worlds, this is the first one where I've really been just walking around as a person. Or could be something here is implemented poorly. The tank in Battlezone didn't bother me too much though, and I'd think the speed there would make it way worse.

Turning in this game seems like it can happen way too fast. It's mapped to the stick, but you can't really adjust the sensitivity. The default Pie Chart turning mode is ok, but the sudden start and stop motion too it just ends up feeling worse, especially when you need to turn 3 times to look toward where you wanna go. Best bet to me felt like smooth turning, just being really careful to only turn the stick slowly. But part of it too, I think, is just my mind set towards playing games. I want to constantly be moving, adjusting view, running as fast as possible toward where ever I'm going. Maybe that lack of patience is best to leave behind for VR.

Or maybe I just wasn't feeling well tonight, and I wasn't used to the games controls yet. I definitely wanna try it some more and see if I can acclimate to it.
 
I played the 9th level in Tethered for the first time and got 3rd place on the global leaderboard. Dunno how that happened, but sweet!
 
Man I'm gonna have to spend an hour or two restoring the PS4 Pro when I get it tomorrow. Still excited though!

Will take away this sour feeling of Trump winning this stupid election.
 
Just beat Battlezone on easy difficulty on a short campaign! haha it was insanely easy, actually

We got the easiest seed. It was a very small map and each tile we went to had one of the things on it that lowered the enemy power level. We beat the campaign with relatively crappy weapons and didn't lose a single life.
 
Finally got around to playing VEV compliments of m0dus.

First off I'll start by saying I had horrible motion sickness with VR when I first bought it. It was bad to the point where I started to fear I wasted $500 on something awesome I wouldn't be able to fully appreciate.

I took a week or so off then fired it back up to give it a whirl. Jumped on Jackal Assult fully expecting to only last for a few minutes. However, I played the whole thing. More so, I did it with zero illness.

I felt pretty confident I had grown my legs somewhat at this point. Just tried VEV and I'm feeling even more confident now!

If you're having troubles adapting, give it a rest and jump back in after a few days. VR legs is certainly a real thing.

Anyway, back to VEV. First of all, the game is fully playable in non VR mode. If you decide to pick it up (only $5) only to find out you can't handle it, you can still certainly enjoy it.

I myself, played it a bit in non VR mode at first to get a feel for the game. For what it was, I enjoyed it. It was a bit difficult trying to avoid the baddies while looking for rather scarce food and the fifteen minutes required to survive seemed to drag on a bit.

However, VR mode is a whole other animal. There are three comfort levels available. I started on the slowest turn speed as I'm still not entirely confident in my legs just yet. I started on the 'soil' level and holy shit. The moment I was plunked in the actual environment, I was blown away. The sense of scale is ridiculous.

It's amazing swimming around in this colossal environment with these massive organisms swirling around you. Those fifteen minutes that seemed a bit tedious before now seem like not enough. I'd say food was easier to find too, but I think I may have simply been enjoying it much more.

If you intend on playing in VR, $5 for this is 100% worth it. If you can't handle the VR, you still have a good game to relax with.

Also, the dynamic themes associated with the game are all cool as hell. I believe there are eight of them. If you want some cool dynamic themes, you may as well get the bundle deal.

I definitely recommend it.
 
Just thinking:

Marvel studios should do a warpy reality ala doctors strange sorta visual VR demo. That'd be mad.

Someone do it. Will be crazy to see that NYC scene in VR

Practically at the end of it and thought it was pretty great. The mansion is far larger than I had expected and the experience will send you throughout it on your little object hunt quest. It was a bit jaw dropping stepping into the grand entrance area and soaking in the atmosphere in the first few minutes.

Along the way you mostly collect a large amount of notes and audio files that provide detailed backstory on Lara's family and the problems that has befallen her estate prior to the reboot games(if you care for that sort of thing).

Interaction is minimal, puzzles are mostly basic that focus on key items you discover that access new rooms and progression, not unlike a classic adventure game, but hardly as obtuse. Don't expect much physical object manipulation outside of rotating found collectibles though much like in the main game. You mostly explore and rifle through cabinets, drawers, and doors that the game allows as you learn of the Croft legacy.

It's about as long as Batman(little over an hour, bit longer for 100%) but the environmental detail and sense of space is kind of neat to inhabit for awhile. I dug it as a freebie bonus and I can't imagine it being quite as interesting without the VR mode activated.

Oh I know what was said, but they might consider a res bump small.... Here's hoping anyway.

Have to say though that my VR time right now is all being spent in Battlezone, damn I feel bad for grabbing it cheaply (£25) now as it's a really solid game and I actually wouldn't have minded paying the full RRP for it.

I've had the eBay search open since you bagged that, never saw one as cheap again, but you set the bar and I'm not going higher :) Would you say it's a better game co-op?

Pro transferring from old ps4 right now, looks like I'm 3 hours away from Driveclub disappoint!

Haha yeah I've seen it hover around £27 a couple of times since, it's crazy that some games like RIGS has dropped quickly too.

It's a totally different game in co-op tbh. In single player you have no one to revive you so it's all about staying alive and using data(money) on extra lives. In co-op you can heal each other and can spend data on weapons a lot more freely.
 
Sounds like Battlezone is best played online. How are the servers/matchmaking? Reasonably populated?

Might buy this before the player base disappears.

Matchmaking is pretty good, can normally find a game and as it's only 4 player in each game even if you start out alone, you rarely get through the first mission without someone joining your game.
 
IS anyone else still having issues with the PU not powering down?
Constantly having to hold down the power button on the VR headset to switch it off.

Also, first impressions with the Pro are it's a marked improvement in most games, and just a general lack of blurriness overall. Batman looked incredible, just found it much easier to focus. Would be interesting to play them back to back to see if I'm wrong but so far I'm happy with my purchase.
 
So I just bought a PSVR and had my first experiences in VR.

It is on par with the jump from 2D to 3D with the potential to be far far more.

Simply descending though the ocean in the VR Worlds demo gave me shivers, it was literally a moment of awe.

After a few hours playing with it I feel extremely tired for some reason, and very very slightly sea sick but nothing too bad.

I just pull the plug when I'm not using mine. I hate indicator lights, such a waste of electricity.

haha, not getting old reading these. I felt a bit drained, too - think my senses were on overload.

Now real life is dull. I, for one, welcome our new replacement reality overlords.
 
I feel embarrassed with my VR motion sickess.

People complaint Eagle Flight being too VR newbie friendly and yet I had to quit after 15 minutes in free flight mode.

But flying freely around a city is pretty much where my VR dream started so I hope I can train my VR legs with this game.
 
This system just wasn't meant for standing/free movement VR gaming. I'm done trying to solve my issues (unstable world environment and move tracking).

Gonna go back to plan A and use it for what I intended to - sit down / controller games. It's good enough for that.

Oh well.
 
The PS4 Pro res bump on VR Worlds is pretty significant. Danger Ball is sharp af now, and the details in London Heist really pop. Luge still looks bad. Not as bad, but still soft.

Gonna try some RIGS now...
 
Wow. The Pro's IQ boost to RIGS during matches is night and day. Rio looks amazing. This game looked good before, but it's really benefited from the extra clarity. Nice work Guerilla.

I had to remove the headset last night while "trying" to play the Trackmania demo, each experience will affect people differently, no reason to feel embarrassed.
