Man those are painful. The faces of people that know everything they worked their ass off for 8 years to accomplish is about to be undone by a bunch of racist homophobic asshats.

Wouldn't it basically have been the same when Obama got elected? Sad republican WH staff knowing everything they worked hard to achieve was about to be undone by a bunch of socialist communists

I think that Trump is going to be so bored with the actual day-to-day stuff in his Presidency. I believe that he LOVED being a candidate and going nuts on Twitter at odd hours of night and conflict that came with running a campaign. Now all that is over and a lot of the theatricality of being a candidate is being replaced with the monotony of discussing policy and meetings with foreign leaders.

Right, so far, let's see who celebrated Trump winning:

-ISIS
-Putin
-KKK
-Anti-LGBT groups
-Assad

This are the kind of people that think that Trump is a good idea for the US presidency. This is the kinda of company Trump supporters have. How can a Trump supporter see this and not realize that they just made their worst decision in their lives is honestly beyond me.

Markets are up.

According to data from Jeff Hirsch, editor of the Stock Trader's Almanac , the average decline for the S&P 500 the day after Election Day between 1932 and 2012 was 1.1%. But the S&P 500 rose 1.1% on Wednesday.
The market only rallied on 6 of the past 21 post-Election Days.

Seeing him talk today after meeting Obama...you could just feel his sense of being completely overwhelmed by the role. I cannot imagine him sticking around for 4 years, simply can't.

Trump is going to give up at some point and Pence will take over. The GOP played us like a damn fiddle... It's all according to their keikaku...

So, Trump's post-election interview on 60 Minutes this Sunday. That's going to be must-see TV, right?

This will be the first full-length interview he's done in months, and first interview generally outside of party-run media since the conventions, right?

He fucked.

There's no deflecting to Hillary. He has to owe up to all of the wretched shit he's said over the last 18 months.

The media will be keeping a close eye on any Trump company dealings.

They'll probably line up favours and deals that only get revealed after 4 years in office but will have been done with pressure from the President, guaranteed.

"Oh no I didn't say that"

"Yes you did"

"No I didn't"

"Yes you did"

"No really I didn't"

"Let's move on"

Some rumblings on CNN and Twitter that Trump may take the popular vote once everything is counted. I don't see how he can make up the 300k vote difference though.

Yes so shameful that they won't shut up and sit down and don't know their place.

Get fucked.

So you approve of violent temper tantrums when they fit your agenda? Cool. Good to know. I mean, how dare we follow our election laws.

Jesus. I never wanted to see Trump as President but this shit is ridiculous.

Marc Maron gave a particularly good spiel on where we're at in the beginning of his podcast today, and this is after many instances of him flatly insulting Trump followers in his monologues. He was reassuringly level headed in the assessment.

I predict he will spend half his time secretly running his business. He will tell them every move to make. I can also guarantee that his kids will travel when he meets other world leaders and work deals on the side.

4 year's can't go by fast enough. This POS can rot in hell.

Protesting is fine, but doing shit that's going to get you arrested and possibly impede on your own rights? It's misguided at best, incredibly stupid at worst.

Your own people burning their own flag is pretty sad though, but that's what they have choose to do.

Burning an inanimate object is violent now?

Edit: I should say, obviously burning other people's property is violent, but a flag, no.

Also people are not protesting out of not respecting our election laws. They are mad at the people who didn't vote and mad that those who did chose a moron and a bigot for their president. Protesting is a vital part of democracy.

You really haven't seen the reports of violence in all of these protests? These people seem to think that burning flags and inciting violence and impeding traffic will somehow magically change the election results. Maybe I'm just getting old but I am really getting sick of this entitled generation that is growing up.

Everyone has the right to protest, but burn the flag? Is it acceptable to you? For me, NO!

It's a piece of fabric that means nothing, just as every other flag. There are no american values, there is no inherent meaning. It's fabric you project your own thoughts and romantic feelings of what a Utopia should look like on. And for half of the country that Utopia is a racist, homo- and transphobic hellhole lead by christian extremists.

Why do people get so outraged by flag burning? It's a glorified logo.

Amazing how the "freedom of speech" crowd can get so outraged by displays of freedom of speech.

Yep. And it means even less today than it did last week.

Anyone remember the days following 9-11?

That strange, anxious & vaguely dissociative, "Is this a dream?" kind of feeling?

Yeah, I just realized this is how I've been feeling post election.

If you are burning it, then it means something to you.... and by extension, to others.

I get what you're saying, but it's understandable that someone would be offended by flag burning. I agree that they should have the right to do so, but that doesn't make them look less like a gaggle of misguided assholes.
