Yeah, no kidding. Im not sure which version would be tougher since there are different Totems, Ultra Beasts but for me playing through Moon with restrictions is very challenging lol.

I can't imagine the grinding you'd need to Nuzlocke these games. You'd probably have to use the X items to stand a decent chance notwithstanding crit RNG.
 
Loving the change that allows you to ride pokemon, was so annoying to force a skill on a pokemon just for those kind of purposes
 
I like how as soon as they stop calling them gym leaders, we get a dark type gym leader.

Also seeing a Z move being wasted on Mimikyu's disguise is a wonderful feeling.
 
Going through the game pretty slowly. Trying to catch everyone available. Got really lucky and found Bagon in my first encounter in its area, but finding Pichu took about twenty minutes.

Trying to get Pichu to evolve now before going on to the second island. I was using Magnemite before but I realized I wanted Raichu as my Psychic/Electric type.

Seems like an error honestly. Apparently it should learn Confusion at level 16 but Kinesis takes precedence. (I was mad too.)
 
So disappointing that Marowak learns Shadow Bone at level 27, when it evolves from Cubone at level 28. There's no move relearner until the Elite Four either. Ugh, this sucks. Why would they do that?
 
Wasted so much time getting a Mareanie lol. Got a shiny Luvdisc in there but I one shotted it by mistake.

Also just beat the third trial captain, and currently the only hard fight in the game was that Smeargle. I appreciate that the characters comment on how I breeze through in one shot without Z moves though.
 
Dammit, stupid Nintendo is giving me a hard time unbanning my 3ds. I played online with my street broken copy early. I showed my receipts and copy of my game. No luck so far. :/ I bought this normally... D:

Edit - I lost all interest in this game now. Omg.
 
As someone who likes to take their time with the game and catch every Pokemon in each area, the calling for help thing is game-ruining for me right now. WTF were they thinking with this?!

Should've just saved it for the totem fights. It's also ridiculous how it doesn't use a turn, and how they immediately call for help again right after you kill one.
 
So gonna leave my impressions here, but let me say I decided to cancel my Amazon order (since it was arriving late) and instead when to the local gamestop to purchase a copy of Moon to which I'm really enjoying so far.

Already did the trial for the first island and about to face off the kahuna; can't wait to hit the second island. And so far I'm really enjoying the character of Lillie; I've read alot of X/Y's story of Pokemon morality issues, though I never played them. Wonder if Lillie is a continuation of that story.

I have one big aggravation with this story. No one stops the bad guys from ever leaving. Like half the shit could be stopped long before it happened...gotta stop thinking logically with Pokémon games. Not good for ones mental Heath.
 
Stufful's animations are adorable. If Pokemon Stars is real then I think I might use one with an everstone to stop it from evolving. I haven't done that since Dragonair back in Leaf Green.

Fighting is my least favorite type but it seems like Sun and Moon are doing their best to try and change that. Almost every new fighting type is amazing IMO.
 
Starting this a bit late and behind almost everyone. Had stuff to do this weekend. Decided to go with Rowlet and got a female adamant one after three resets. Wasn't even looking for that but man I'll take it!!
 
Finally caught a mareanie. Was spending way too much time babying a corsola and I was about to just give up and run, but it finally called in mareanie
 
Hot damn, someone mentioned earlier in the thread that starters were like GTS gold right now, and they weren't kidding. I bred a few Popplio and got both of the Moon-exclusive UBs in exchange. Kinda curious to see how far I can take it, specifically if I can get ahold of a few of the Pokemon that would otherwise make a living dex difficult.

This plus extremely high encounter rate is really starting to wear on me, and I've only put in like 4-5 hours.

Also - why does my Meowth shake when I send it into battle? And can anyone tell me where exactly is Ruffrock? I'm at ten carat hill or whatever but with at least 20 encounters thru the whole place I haven't seen one yet.

No. If you do it a bunch you'll get a bosst to EXP earned after battles (useful for any new catches you want to get up to par with the rest of your team) but the game isn't balanced around that. Make sure you do it whenever your Pokemon are suffering from a status condition since it will cure them without using an item.

Finished up the first island and just arrived at the second. Been quite fun so far, and kind of tough too.XD

And I continue to enjoy customizing my trainer, through not buying that much for now. Being able to change eye color via contacts is pretty nice too, so I went blue to match mine.

Why does it seem no one uses the Surfing Pikachu shirt? I have done a bunch of Wonder Trades and no one ever has one one, usually they just have the stock outfit.
