I hope we can have a choice of different Pokemon for the Poke Rides in the future. Maybe this is too much wishful thinking.

I need to Fly on Golurk.

Yetee has a SUN & Moon design today.

How do you get Pokémon that show up on the field (like Wimpod) to respawn?

This is old, but I wanted to correct myself.
I don't know if the 24 hours thing matters, but he didn't appear for me going back after a day. However, running back and forth between the spot and the Pokemon center just north did the trick. After about 15 tries he was back for me.

Edit: not sure if the spoiler tag is needed, but oh well

So after about an hour of SOS chaining Cutieflys, the chain was broken because the last one ran out of moves and had to Struggle. It called for help and I tried to catch it twice, and it failed both calls and kept breaking free. Those Speed Ev's were worth it though, my Lycanroc went from 110 to 115 speed and my Tsareena went from 81 to 84.

I've seen multiple people post this now. How does that happen? You can just knock out the old Pokemon and let the new one call for help without breaking the chain from what I've read.

People should stop referencing data that makes me feel uncomfortable because games get ported to platforms I don't like
Is it possible to still play the demo and get him? I have to wait until black friday to get my 3DS, but already got Sun. Was the demo just a download on the nintendo shop or something?
Yes you can still play it.

Just download the demo from the e-shop

Is there anything like those battle restaurants from X/Y? I tried the Battle Buffet but it has a once per day limit. `-`

Alternatively, you could wait til post-game, level one, and use the hyper training (or whatever its called) to boost its IVs?

Or did you mean more on an individual 'nature' basis?
Sorry to break it to you but hyper training doesn't change the IVs a Pokemon has. It makes the IVs act as if they were perfect.

In other words it is completely useless for breeding purposes. Still useful for less frustration with legendaries and some hidden power setups though.

LiQuid!

I proudly and openly admit to wishing death upon the mothers of people I don't like
Double battles = RIP framerate, at least on the original 3DS. Wow is it bad. I imagine it's not as bad on a new 3DS? Anybody confirm?

I hate getting into double battles. The game chugs along, like I'm playing a shoddy N64 game or something.

I can't even imagine what the tournaments are going to look like, considering they're 100% double battles. It'll make the game look terrible when streamed.

I assume it's better, but the fps drops during these battles are definitely there on my new 3DS as well.

The Battle Royale is basically ruined by the fps too.

I know, but the one that ran out of moves had its accuracy decreased 6 times and was successfully calling other Pokemon at most every 7 turns. So I decided to leave it alone since it was being helpful and convenient for majority of my purposes.

Plus my team was all in the red and I had no healing items, so it was just better that way.

Question: You don't encounter Pokemon while riding on a Lapras, but I have seen there are encounter tables for Surf. Can you still traditionally Surf once you acquire the TM? Is that correct?

Its still handy for breeding if you're willing to grind the offspring to 100 since it means all you need to breed for IV wise is Hidden Power and 0 IVs (which you usually only want 0, 1 or 2 of). But if you're going for real 31s , yeah it doesn't change anything breeding wise.

Alright, I'm on the final island and my team right now is:

Primarina [Water/Fairy]
Alolan Muk [Dark/Poison]
Alolan Raichu [Electric/Psychic]
Bewear [Normal/Fighting]
Mimikyu [Ghost/Fairy]

I've been looking for a good pokemon to round out my team but haven't had any luck. I tried a Beldum I caught on
Mt. Hakulani
, but despite evolving it to Metang it was getting destroyed by basically everything. Steel losing its ghost and dark resistances really hurt that line.

Right now I'm trying out Aerodactyl but aside from being fast it's having a hard time even with standard fare on Poni island. It's poor TM compatibility doesn't help either.

So with all that out of the way, what pokemon would work well with this team?

You do encounter Pokemon while riding a lapras, and no.

You can encounter pokemon while riding on lapras but not every body of water has pokemon to find I believe

You do encounter Pokemon while riding on Lapras. It just doesn't happen often.

Yo, what...

I see encounter tables for all sorts of Pokemon when surfing on Brooklet Hill. But I've been here for two days fishing the bubbling fishing spots trying to find a Feebas and have never encountered something while just surfing.

Is it just supremely and extremely uncommon?

It's less common than caves or grass, but not really haha

I don't know what the deal is for encounter rates while riding Lapras, but it takes forever sometimes for a Pokemon to pop up. It's far less likely to occur than when running around in tall grass in my experience.

I am now just surfing around in circles trying to make a Pokemon appear. I have to get back to work in a minute but this is blowing my mind.

You can't even walk through a patch of grass and avoid an encounter, especially when mounted. Good luck dowsing with Stoutland in a patch of grass.

But on Lapras, I have yet to bump into something. I thought there must be separate encounters for traditional surfing or something.

God I wish I had a good Ditto. Not looking forward to chaining them

yeah I tried chaining them for a while, but ended up failing trying to catch the Ditto in the end. Once you get higher up in the chain they'll sometimes spawn with Imposter which makes the process a lot harder.
