Final Fantasy XV SPOILER THREAD

Wait, what method are you using? I've been farming the wyvern slaying mission while I have the lasagna power up...

+50% exp from that chocobo burger/sandwich

1 element + bunch of rare coins/banknotes up to level 96 of the spell [no more, since it's waste of coins after that point], throw spells at monsters - repeat for about 20 minutes. You don't need to kill the monster, you get the exp just by throwing.

btw. if some people still don't know, when you mix up an item with an element, you're not limited just to 1 quantity of said item, the number can be increased the same way you increase element potency.

Lasagna is 100%, but its chapter 9 onwards. Wouldn't that be better?

Why do people like the ending? It did absolutely nothing for me.

The Ifrit fight was nice and flashy, and pulling into Prompto's photograph collection was a good touch, but both Ardyn fights were nothing special. Noctis sacrifices himself and wipes out Ardyn's daemonicness for good at the cost of his own life. Sun rises to cool music. Dreamscape. Fin. Logo change.

I mean, it's as impotent as the rest of the game's storytelling, but I was under the impression that the ending was actually good. FFVI-X's finales spit on it, and IX's had that Necron bullshit.

I still like the game overall, but I'm left sour by the ending at the minute. I haven't gotten to the ending of every Final Fantasy, but that's the worst Final Fantasy ending I've seen.

Anyone know who I could be missing for "Let Sleeping Mountain's Lie"
I'm 13/14 characters and no clue who I'm missing.

edit: found out who it was if anyone else has this issue, it's Ezma @ Meldacio Hunter HQ, she gives you a quest once you finish all the dungeons.

It would, but is it really necessary? Since this way gets you loads of experience anyway, after hitting 99 I was still left with 1 million experience to spare, so even without exp boost from food I'd still get there very quickly.

Well yeah, even without it you'll likely hit the cap easily. I sold a lot of shit before this trick became really well known, so I wasn't loaded but still 90 atm and can probably max out if I use what I've gotten since.

The part of the ending that tends to make the biggest impression on people is the final campfire scene. But if you don't buy into the relationship of the bros, I can see that falling flat. I really liked XV's ending but I think that's mostly in comparison to how flat the rest of the story felt. It doesn't compare to the best FF endings in any way.

The ending was good though. I remember when you're forced to camp before going to Insomnia and I'm thinking wtf that's it no cutscene? And then it plays in the ending. The afterlife thing was shot beautifully but Noctis/Luna is a non existent romance so I couldn't care about that (but it have massive comedy potential with the pic lmao). I am a sucker for the logo change/explanation tho

Frankly as of now I think it's the 3rd fave FF ending. IX and X are still tops for me.

Or... They just enjoyed the journey more than you did. Not that hard to understand. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I enjoyed the journey and I like the party, yet the ending is not the journey, but the destination.

I guess if people were avoiding sharing spoilers, all they could say was "The ending is really good". My interpretation of that was that the actual events of the ending were satisfying; the attack on Insomnia, the clash with the villain, and so on.

I did think, as Noctis was speaking (English VO) that that was the one moment that the writing and the performance came together. I felt for Noctis in that scene. I agree that it's better than the rest of the game, but I guess that wasn't the impression I was being given. I guess I got taken in by some posters saying it was the best ending in franchise history, which is my own fault for thinking the team would actually pull something special out for the finale.

I was flicking through this thread while taking a phone call, but had to move the phone away as I read a poster saying they used a noodle pot photo at the end and I couldn't stop laughing. I might replay the end to use the photo I got of Ignis with his glasses bugging off his face.

[Costlemark Dungeon]
~Waste Yo' Time Simulator 2016~

Do you like watching things move slowly?
Have I got a hole in the ground for you!

If you talk to Luna's retainer after the cutscene, she tells you the dog died with Luna when they were swept away together.

Swept away...? More like joining Ardyn's memorabilia collection alongside Regis, Nyx and Aldercapt. There certainly was a stuffed Pryna to be found somewhere. ;)

So, in the ending Did Ignis, Prompto and Galdio die? seems a bit ambiguous or maybe I'm just missing somehthing.

IMO they made it ambiguous on purpose. You'll find arguments for both possibilities but their fate is ambiguous as far as I'm concerned unless the Ultimania (or a sequel, lol) expands it.

Well, shit. Despite some overly glaring plot problem Final Fantasy XV was a fantastic game and I loved the four bros dynamic. Final Fantasy XV is easily my second favorite FF game after XII. However, FFXV has the best protagonist and party members to me in the FF series.

Yep, really the only thing holding the second half of the game together is the 4 guys and how they interact with each other.

Honestly, I don't know if FFXV even ranks in my top 5 FF games, but it really was a super enjoyable experience.

Completed it a few hours ago, really enjoyed it. But Lunafreya being barely used, dying and not even able to be in your party or Glad's sister for that matter was a real bummer.

I don't wanna think about that part. >.<

That little detail, which many apparently even missed, was the darkest and most revolting part in the whole game. I didn't think I would ever see something like this in an FF. Kinda fascinating actually.

Yeah that was pretty disgusting. I'm surprised Noct didn't even flinch, tbh.

That was the one time where Ardyn was truly established to be an unfeeling monster. I thought that was one of the few moments that really packed a punch because of how unexpected it was. It was ballsy.

Take comfort in the fact that those were probably just more illusions. I doubt that those corpses managed to stay so fresh after 10 years, lol.

Yeah no way they were actual corpses. Still an amazing touch though.

True, he did make illusions before like on the train.

Iris being in the party was such a nice surprise. And she even had her own Tech attack. She even had her own Chocobo and camped with you. I was bummed you couldn't invite her back whenever. The did so much work including her with the bros.

One of the more memorable villain post-PS1 era FF.

One of the best villain designs.
One of the best voice acted characters.
One of the best backstories.
One of the best music themes.
One of the best plans (He actually succeeds).

Agreed. Her combo with Gladio was cool. I wish we could have gotten another chance to use Cor. A fight against Drautos/Glauca with Cor in party would be epic.

Anyone know who I could be missing for "Let Sleeping Mountain's Lie"
I'm 13/14 characters and no clue who I'm missing.

I have all 14. Here's them all:

Galdin Quay Waitress
Dino
Takka
Sania
Vyv or whatever his name was. He's the guy who pays you good money for photos.
That fisherman guy
Ezma
Dave's aunt who runs the shop near Malmalam Thicket
Wiz (as a piece of paper)
Iris
Talcott
Cid
Dave
Holly

I'm guessing you're probably missing Dave's Aunt. You meet her at the very end of his sidequest chain.
They're all sidequest givers (except for Dave's aunt).

Ardyn was amazing.

I loved him. His voice is perfection. And he was easily the best part of the train section and Chapter 13. He's just such a wonderful troll.

I still don't know why we aren't able to invite her post-game. >_< She never got a chance to ride that chocobo. (sigh)

I still have the save before Ch. 9, yeah, but still. I didn't explore with her as much as I could've because I just wanted to go through the story and thought we'd get another chance to later on, lol.

Call a Chocobo with her. She has a pretty nice looking pink one.

I honestly expected nothing from him going in, even after Kingsglaive, and he totally blindsided me with how good he was. I didn't even suspect him as the "true" villain (although it wouldn't have been a hard conclusion to come to with a small bit of thought). His comment about how it's "Such a shame" that a "Beautiful city" like Insomnia had to get destroyed from KG means so much more when you know who he is. I thought it was just Joker-man being sarcastic when I watched the movie.

Ardyn is one of the few things about the game's storytelling I have no problems with.

Just got Regalia Type F and am really satisfied. I was worried there wouldn't be a moment like when I soared into the sky for the first time in Xenoblade X but XV even has that. Not sure where I can go with it, but damn has it made me appreciate Eos more seeing it in full.

Ardyn was amazing.

My favorite FF villain since Kefka. I absolutely loved his final boss fight. Some people over in that ridiculous thread about the Versus XIII 4chan stuff are bemoaning the lack of a big, over the top, angelic/demonic/robotic/godlike transformation phase. I thought it was a breath of fresh air. Just two superpowered kings duking it out in the streets and skies of a ruined city in a dead world. Awesome.

First time I fought him I was lvl 40 and he presented a good challenge. He can kill you very fast if you're not paying attention. My favorite part was when he first hit me with that big purple AoE attack, and then fucking kicked me when I was down. It felt real personal after that :)

Seeing his smug face makes me want to punch my monitor.
