I remember watching this when my grandfather rented it and thought it was shit but never remember it being this dark. Thinking about grabbing Predator 2 and the AVP set and having a marathon.

By dark, strafer meant you can't see shit dark. It was the reason why I stopped watching after 15 minutes.
AvP2 is so Fucking dark I couldn't see shit.

Fox had their 2017 showcase event again in London, L.A and Paris this week. Apparently everyone in attendance is under embargo until the 26th which is why there are no articles about what the press saw however reactions on Twitter show that the trailer was shown, cut to a slower version of Bowie's "Nature Boy", as well as 10 minutes of R rated footage.
No specific details other than a lot of comparisons to the first two films: feels like the claustrophobic and suspense of Alien with the action and body count of Aliens. One person on Twitter alluded to seeing someone in the footage getting split apart by...something. If the embargo ends on the 26th then the trailer should be online next week.

It doesn't look like the trailer will be in theaters this year. That's a list of current and new trailers from Deluxe, which is (I think) one of the major digital film distributors.

Not feeling this teaser pic. Hopefully that's some peripheral security to the main cast that'll be promptly body horrored. Save the militaristic/USCM stuff for Blomkamp. I'm eager for the trailer to see if I need to temper my expectations due to tone.
This pic (even as insignificant its elements might end up being) has me longing for Paradise in a way I haven't in a while. What I'd give for the focus to be on Shaw's expedition. Hopefully Covenant does something to entertain me and the dozens of other people who care about that.

FWIW, someone I follow on twitter was able to see 25 minutes of Planet of the Apes, Logan and Alien: Covenant.

I made a prediction that the trailer should appear before this year is out (since filming wrapped in July 2016). However with the latest updates at hand, that is -> additional shooting was decided, James Franco was cast and the release date was brought forward for May 2017, all those befuddled me.
I still believe that a teaser trailer may appear before this year is out, though

Someone in Jamaica off handed mentioned on Twitter that the trailer played before their Rogue One screening over the weekend, which surprised them given its not online yet.
Embargo according to French press and other journos for what they saw at this Fox showcases ends on December 26th. So I'm theory we should see it from now until then...?

I know i'm late, but outside AVP2 being dark, the camera also shakes something fierce.
So hard to appreciate the times where the action is good when it's all over the place.
