From what I recall, dude's usually got a shaved head. So I wouldn't think so.Do we know who is suppose to be that guy with S76 in the photo he's looking at? Reaper? Does that match up with S76 being grey-haired in the photo?
30 years old? How is she still alive?
And I'm definitely a fan of the comic. Uncle Rein is best Reinhardt. But I now wish for a rugged drifter Hanzo skin and I have less than 5 mins played on him.

Same. Overwatch is the only game that makes me want to try to get skins for characters I don't play or suck at.
I am garbage at McCree... but I fucking needed to get his American Skin.
Dat avatar, praise the moon
NiceBlizzard said:As in real life, having variety in our characters and their identities and backgrounds helps create a richer and deeper overall fictional universe. From the beginning, weve wanted the universe of Overwatch to feel welcoming and inclusive, and to reflect the diversity of our players around the world. As with any aspect of our characters backgrounds, their sexuality is just one part of what makes our heroes who they are. From the very beginning of our work on Tracers story, it just felt right to make this an aspect of her character.
Kotaku has something up on Tracer being gay.
And Polygon has your shipflip story covered.
Kotaku got a statement from Blizz on the matter.
Reading the Kotaku one and I can't roll my eyes further at the "safe pick/two pretty girls" remark. Safe? They picked one of the main stars in the game. One of the first people we met when the game was first announced. The character that adorns THE COVER OF THE GAME and you calling that a safe pick? Tracer is the face of Overwatch and it's huge that they not only decided to have her represent the LGBTQ community but had that planned for her during her inception. Safe my ass.
And not sure who they were looking for when every character in the game is attractive in one way or another. smh
He was part of Overwatch's hit squad and felt underappreciated. Got jealous of Morrison's fame and decided to betray everyone.Has the EdgeLord God Reaper had any backstory?
how is that possible

I really don't like the Kotaku article. I don't feel it recognises what Blizzard has done. The fact that they even mention how happy it has made so many fans yet seem to think it's underwhelming and not a "good job" is very strange to me.Kotaku has something up on Tracer being gay.

Yeah the Kotaku one is unfortunate. It's a lesbian on the cover of the one of the biggest games of the generation. That's fantastic. The reveal was their best shot at not doing it gimmicky and just natural. It is cute and nice and a good step. The "I'm less likely to buy a game actually if there's only one lesbian" was worth a groan.I really don't like the Kotaku article. I don't feel it recognises what Blizzard has done. Kinda disappointing.
and Torbjorn is a vikingAlso in the Halloween comic, Rein is dressed like a ship admiral and Ana is a pirate

like they're not even subtle about it
But Genji and Mercy!!!!!!! Genji and Mercy!!! Gency!!! Emergenji!!! YES! YES!!!! YES!!!!! I don't care about your reasoning and differing opinions about that what the letter says I'll take it!!! Score to Genji/Mercy!!!! Take that all you haters!!!
Nah theres a subset of those losers in each fanbase but Ive never seen it dominate the discussion as thoroughly as it has with Overwatch.
You make it sound like the gameplay isn't enough to carry it.
And Genji called Mercy "Doctor Ziegler" which is the most unromantic name in the world to call your bae if you're in a relationship with someone.

With the tentacles?
Yes. The only unattractive character in this game is Bastion.Roadhog is attractive?

Cause you know, respecting your coworkers on the job flies out the window when you're in a relationship right? Plus the Japanese culture is a lot different than you give it credit for. Something that many people seem to forget and just assume differently. There is no "score". Mercy and Genji have had voice lines that show they have at least some sort of platonic relationship since the game existed. We've known that forever. And Genji called Mercy "Doctor Ziegler" which is the most unromantic name in the world to call your bae if you're in a relationship with someone.
The Gency people today are seriously making me think the Mercy76 folks aren't actually that bad in comparison.
Kuudere or Tsundere? What? No, I mean the stoic easily embarrassed type who can't be honest :v
Soldier: 76 is also dressed ass Evel Knievel, which means he lives dangerously and doesn't practice safe sex. Also in the Halloween comic, Rein is dressed like a ship admiral and Ana is a pirate

Also, if Mercy gets hurt Genji will call out "Angela!" during gameplay. Plus Mercy will say "Genji! I was too late!" for reasons I'm not sure of yet.
But nope it doesn't count. "Let's take to the skies!" is far superior I guess. Let's just agree to disagree since this agitates you (and I guess me too haha!) so much.
Kuudere or Tsundere?
Fuck Ginny.
These statements are so on point. You want to? You can have her! No one else does!
As the person who created that Overwatch fanart thread, I'm not sure what you expected.Thats not what I meant, let me explain.
Example: In the fanart thread shipping talk is rampant to the point it dominates discussion and most of the fans are happy to talk about it. The few who arent comfortable with the discussion will slow down and then eventually stop being a part of that community if they dont like where the discussion is going.
If someone who is curious about that popular Overwatch fanart thread decides to click on it and is greeted by shipping talk are they going to say "HOT DAMN SHIPPING TALK JUST WHAT I WANTED" or "err this doesnt feel right, maybe Overwatch isnt for me and I dont really belong here"
Everyone inside is happy to talk shipping meanwhile an outsider will look in and wonder what the hell is going on.
Haha makes sense! You got me there.Anime relationship.
Hmm...makes sense. I can totally see Genji acting like this. Even more so considering that he was a play boy in his youth so if he and Mercy really do have a thing for each other (I said IF guys! Don't attack me!) I can imagine Genji being sort of lost or even afraid of how to act towards her since she is someone that he truly loves and not just for pleasure only.A bit of both. Genji is the type that would try his hardest to be professional and respectful with minimal public displays of affection. But is a big softy and a sucker for the traditional.
That's why he's writing a freaking letter with a freaking quill instead of calling or email.

+1 to this argument, among others that have been said.Cause you know, respecting your coworkers on the job flies out the window when you're in a relationship right? Just finished an otome game, so this makes too much sense to me.Otome relationships.
Like in those reverse harem shows. The playboy character would be lost and "off his game" when he encounters someone who is genuine and isn't affected by his charms. Extra doubly so if he's trying to change to a better person.

Genji seems like a character that might be very formal or awkward regarding love.

Life is Strange's main character was the face of the cover. It's not a unique situation.
