Is Dust: Elysian tail any good? It's very cheap right now

It's pretty good. I spent 28 hours with it and had a very good time. Combat is simple but it offers some fun possibilities.
Art style is the only thing I can see bothering some people, so if it isn't a negative for you, I'd say go for it.

I really didn't like it.

The character designs bothered me, they tried way too hard to be cute and it just ends up being creepy. If you're into that sort of thing then by all accounts there's an enjoyable game underneath... just do yourself a favour and look at plenty of screenshots beforehand, make sure you're comfortable with that art style. I felt like I was looking at Sonic fan art.

I agree. The game plays great, but I just really didn't like the art style.

Path of Exile? Its free to play. No expansions as all expansions are just added to the main game. PoE could also mean Pillars of Eternity though, which I have but have not played.

Ah, a misunderstanding. I thought you were referring to Pillars of Eternity!

Does anyone have an Ori 75% discount?

10 games, 60 bucks.

Good sale.

Guys, seriously, Downwell for like €1. Do it. It's incredible.
Yes. Downwell is an easy pick for a dollar.

For fans of simple platformers I'd also recommend Mutant Mudds and Xeodrifter. Both by Renegade Kid. Both a buck.

I also think more people should try Eversion. It's $2.50 and that's the lowest I've seen it. Cutesy platformer with a twist.

It's not vital to play since it's not a direct narrative sequel, and it also feels considerably less polished and ambitious than Dragonfall (and Hong Kong), both narratively and mechanically. But yeah, I actually do recommend you playing it. Aside from gameplay polish, the order doesn't matter.

I played Returns as last (first DF, then HK, then RE) and while it's definitely the least amazing, least polished and least meaty of the trilogy, I still appreciated it for being the first. A lot of its ideas we see back in DF and HK.

In hindsight, I think I would have started it chronologically in order of release (RE, DF, HK).

Returns basically burned me out of Shadowrun. I can't start Dragonfall because of what a terrible letdown Returns was. The game basically fell apart completely in the second half.

Are the steam improvements worth it?
The game can be played for free on the original site : http://zarat.us/tra/eversion/
Not sure. Never played it on Steam.

I played it when it was free a long time ago but I could've sworn they took it down once the Steam version was up.

So I guess we'll file this under "try for free and buy only if you want the achievements and feel like supporting the developer." My bad.

I have 2€ in Steam funds, so I'm almost sure to buy Downwell.
Also, I loved the 3DS Mutant Mudds demo and I'm thinking to get it in steam. Is the lack of 3D something to worry?

I loved the 3D in Mutant Mudds on 3DS, but I wouldn't call it essential. $5 for that version is worth it and $1 on Steam is equally worth it.

Returns basically burned me out of Shadowrun. I can't start Dragonfall because of what a terrible letdown Returns was. The game basically fell apart completely in the second half.

I backed Returns and was very excited about it. Then the game came out and I found it kind of boring. Played for a day or two and quit.

Dragonfall came out. It took me a while to try it because of Returns too. Two false starts, quit after a few hours. But third time was the charm, and man, the game is really, really good.

After I finished it, I went back to Returns and guess what? I began to like it. Of course Dragonfall is way better, but it's pretty good and I managed to play it until the end.

Last year I bought Hong Kong. Huge letdown. Conversations take forever, even by Shadowrun standards. People just won't shut up. Also, the main character has a crappy backstory and it gets revealed little by little, so the story you envisioned for him in your mind is gradually destroyed as you play. Gameplay is still solid, of course, but I can't play it since everything else really annoys me.

So I think I've changed my mind and am done with 2016 releases for now. I've got Oneshot, Deadly Tower of Monsters, Mirrors Edge Catalyst, Quantum Break, Shadow Tactics, Ghost 1.0, Vall-Halla and Owlboy (and probably something I'm forgetting) all unfinished. I'm definitely curious about I Am Setsuna, but I've got a backlog of RPGs a mile long. Sometime soon I need to start concentrating on Persona and all the Kingdom Hearts games.

So my "final" haul. Obviously if someone mentions a good deal on somehting I want I'll grab it but for now I'm satisfied.

If only Steam... If only.

Preface: I haven't played Returns. I had the chance to play Dragonfall and Hong Kong and I fell in love with them. Dragonfall blew away my expectations, and I ate that game up within five days. Hong Kong is another excellent title, but as someone who doesn't roleplay, the back-story of the MC did not bother me like it did for other people. Both games are worth your time.

As a Civ V fan, I wouldn't mind expanding to the other 4X titles. I am looking at Stellaris or Endless Legend (/Space). Any info on these would be appreciated!

I've bought these so far:

Abzu, Bad Rats: Show, Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, Siege of Dragonspear, Batman: The Telltale Series, Dogfight 1942, Dragon Quest Heroes, Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition, Judge Dredd: Countdown Sector 106, The Secret World: Ultimate Edition, Stronghold 3: Gold and Tropico 5: Complete Edition.

And I am strongly considering the Transformers games, Need For Speed games, Darksiders: Warmastered and Overcooked: Gourmet Edition.

Any recommendation on Stellaris v. Europa Universalis IV with multiple (though probably not all) expansions? I've played a lot of Crusader Kings and looking for a new grand strategy fix.

I really like Shadowrun Returns, it's very light and casual and introduces new folks to the world of Shadowrun (and isometric RPG) really well. It's not a great game, but I wouldn't dissuade people from playing it as long as they understand they should move on when they get bored.

I haven't played Dragonfall yet but I can't wait.

EU is certainly the more complex game mechanically, probably closer to what CK gives you. Stellaris is starting to get there, especially with mods, but it still needs some good ol' Paradox iterating. What it is really good at though is role playing if you're at all into sci-fi themes. FWIW it's also my favorite soundtrack in years, maybe ever.

It's like an immunisation. If you own Bad Rats, you can't be gifted Bad Rats.
But you don't buy Bad Rats. You're supposed to get infected by it through an undesired gift. It's a rite of passage, and scholars named the two eras in the life of a Steam account "Before Bad Rats" / "After Bad Rats".

I think if you have to pick between the two and you like CK2, EU4 is the way to go.

EU4 has been well polished, and had plenty of necessary features and QOL things added since it came out. Meanwhile, Stellaris is decent, but still has some issues (particularly in the late game) that will probably get ironed out over time. Stellaris is also a shallower game, too. Easier to get into, but lacks the depth of Paradox's other grand strategy titles.

I bought Downwell on my phone way back and it just didn't gel with me but I'm not sure if it's the mobile controls or the game itself.

Plz recommend some publisher/developer bundles. Just bought Valve's and Double Fine's complete packs, didn't own most games, insane deals.

Bundlestars actually got back to me when I asked about their SF5 Deluxe, if it was 1 key or seperate keys. Its 1 key :(
