I'm very tempted to buy Subnautica & Mad Max. Don't know if I should pull the trigger or not.

Mad Max on bundlestars with 10% extra WINTERSALE10 voucher

I actually loved Mad Max, it might have been a right place right time thing, but I was totally into it and did every single side quest heh

It's worth every cent.
I've played the game twice doing 90% of the paints on all difficulties and put in 70 hours.

ill probabl get it before this is over. Bonus points for being a good one for the laptop at work

Does God Eater have multiplayer lobbies, and if so are there still a decent amount of people playing?
I does, but I can guarentee you're much better off playing it with a friend. The way the lobbies work there's no quick-join or anything once a session starts, and setting up a session and inviting friends is so easy and fast that you're never really going to stay in or find many games in the lobby.

Hmm, I don't really have any friends to play it with. I'm sure the games are fine to play solo though. I guess I've got a week to think about it.

If you're thinking "Should I buy this game or not?", just remember...

I keep thinking about pulling the trigger on the classic Fallout trilogy pack, just to have digital copies attached to my Steam account, even though I have both physical copies of their original releases and a physical copy of the trilogy compilation.

Age of Decadence and Underrail both seem really promising though.

Dear Lord... That moment when you level up for the first time... and right after equipping a short sword that didn't seem to help much at all...

Can anything stop me?

EDIT: Yes, apparently cave dwelling raspberries can obliterate me...

Cool. The first game is the most fun I've had with a baseball game since the SNES days, they could change nothing but the art style (which looks soooo much better now) and it would be an improvement over SMB1.

hows the single player in the first?

The cave is a near mid game dungeon actually :P
You want to to go North/North East to the village then head north to the shrine area.

Early Access games to keep your eyes on.

Darkwood

Just added this to my wishlist as I forgot about the game, but it looks like a unique take on the roguelike genre.
Seems to be having good, consistent process with Steam reviews hovering ~95%

Factorio

Currently holding my co-GOTY slot. This game has insane depth and always pulls you back for that, "just give me five more minutes to streamline this design" that inevitably stretches into hours. The game hovers around 98-100% Steam reviews.
I can attest to the game constantly being updated. The developers have been tweaking all aspects of the progression, adding content, tweaking the endgame, and upgrading the sprites to high definition versions.

Rimworld

My other top GOTY pick for this year. Again, another game with insane depth that has that "just five more minutes" quality. If you want correlations this game plays like Dwarf Fortress, the player sets the jobs the characters work in game based on their skill set as you expand your wealth and take over the planet. The game consistently hovers between 96-99% on Steam reviews.
The developers just dropped a massive update that adds an insane amount of content to an already deep game. The update fully renders the planet in 3D and allows you to explore, fight, trade, and conquer the planet by moving with caravans, jump pods, and starting new bases.

Formerly Early Access darlings.
Kerbal - Just received a massive update that flushed out the content.
Don't Starve - Also just received an update.
Prison Architect

by the way, the Homeworld games are 66% off (including Kharak which surprises me), but the bundle with both is actually 75% off.

hows the single player in the first?

The AI settings are pretty robust so you can make the game as easy or hard as you want, along with simple/complex settings for pitching and batting so you can dial in how arcade-y of an experience you want.

That said, the Season mode is only for a single season, there's no franchise mode to play as the same team for multiple seasons, so it feels a little light on content. If you like the sport, you could definitely get enough enjoyment out of the game considering the $5 asking price, but unless you're really itching for a baseball game to play I'd recommend holding out for the sequel to see if they add any additional modes.

For something similar to Geometry Wars (specifically the second game), Waves scratched that itch for me. Similar structure in terms of modes but the game plays a bit differently.

Thanks!! but for now i have my hands are full with helldivers and geometry wars 3(Thanks Gaf Santa :) I will sure give it a try after i finished with these.

your thoroughness and honesty killed my mojo.

My goty list.

The Last Guardian isn't there cause I have yet to play it (own it though) and Overwatch was simply not good enough, neither was Battlefield 1 and many other games (obviously). So either I have yet to play them or they were not good enough.

I need some help finding a game, I thinks it's a 2016 release.
If im not mistaken it was made by Japanes developers, it was mostly FMV, and it was interrogation based I think.
You have to look through the police interviews and piece together the solution?
It got a lot of praise.
I thought it was Lisa, but im clearly mistaken.

So far this is what I picked, any issues with any of these games?

Her Story? Though, it was 2015 and non-Japanese developers.

I own Nuclear Throne and Crypt of the Necromancer already but want another roguelike. What's a better buy? Binding of Isaac or Enter the Gungeon. I kind of don't like the idea of Isaac's 4 direction shooting but if it works well then I'd deal.

Every time the Ys games have gone on sale over the last year on Steam l wish I didn't buy them when they were on sale on GoG, Ys I&II was already a double dip because I have PSP version I got for my Vita (and only played Ys I) along with Ys VII which I also still haven't got to. Like almost everything I would've greatly preferred to have them on Steam.
