Which game could Dragons Dogma be best compared to? I heard a lot of good things about this and I'm a big RPG fan. Like is there a intsresting main story you follow or is it more of a offline "MMO"? How's the combat system, similar to Soulsborne?

Devil May Elder Souls

is Cities Skylines worth it without any of the DLC packs? I have no interest in natural disasters and stuff like that

I loved the game, but I had to let it go, was absorbing too much time for me, that should tell you how good it was. I love city building games and if their are good I can spend hours on them.

stalker is the game i compare it most to, in the sense that's a very systems driven game about exploration and combat with a similar gameplay loop of setting off on a journey to do a very throwaway quest, getting distracted with secret treasure, interesting locations you catch a glimpse of in the horizon and new enemies you hadn't seen before, and then coming back to your home town for upgrades, new gear, leveling before setting off again. it's really satisfying

there's a story but it's not the game's strongest element, neither the story nor the characters are too well developed and it's easy to forget what you're even doing sometimes. the world has a really well done sense of place and it takes lots of inspirations from berserk which is really cool tho

combat is souls-esque only in that it's got that animation priority thing going on, but that's about it. people compare it to monster hunter and it certainly looks like it from what i've seen in videos but never played it before. the combat is a bit mashy but i like it, it's fun and fairly varied. i enjoy that big boss enemies sometimes take like 15 minutes to take down lol

As someone who loved BM, it falls short overall, but has some excellent episodes.

1,2,6 are fantastic. 3-4 are mediocre, and 5 feels out of place.
5 i would say is plain out bad

i would also put 3 over 4, i really don't like 4 either

Not really , the combat isn't really soulsborne like . Attacks have less consequences and not affected heavily by stamina but is still fluid and meaty . It has a decent story and is really a game on its own kind . If you like RPG and action-ish combat , you will like it .

Question: How can I use my Ori Coupon? I know it cant be used with the current discount but I want to use it on the regular price. It wont let me.

So, in the basket is:

Abzu
Helldivers
Stanley parable
Mad Max (at little more then £5!)

But I'm torn between DMC and Deus EX:MD. I'm tempted by the very good (imho, since I've not been following the cost) price of Deus Ex but hears some very mixed opinions on the game, especailly how it has a very unsatifying end and not much replayability. I intend to play it eventually, just not right now since I'm busy with other games.

Likewise I know the newest DMC falls short of 4, which I loved, but from what I played of it the gameplay pretty good and the biggest complaint of the action gameplay (30fps) is a non issue on PC. I could even probably downsample it from 4k on my pc. The short playhtough time is better for me, and of course it has some replayability.

What do, Gaf?

Plenty of content in the base game to keep you busy if you're into these kinda games.

400+ hours and I haven't bothered with the latest few DLC's (only got After Dark).

Not sure. The combat system is very unique, and I can't say it's been topped yet in terms of an Open world RPG combat system. If you're a big RPG fan, you'll adore it if you aren't looking for an excellent story with rich lore.

That's a lot of praise. Sounds right up my alley, thanks

Any good Final Fantasy Tactic type games that have controller support?

edit: bundlestars just emailed me a deep dungeons of doom so I guess thats where the garbage dump giveaway earlier came from?

As someone who's pretty satisfied with the XB1 controller, even for sp fps combat, would the steam controller be a decent upgrade for fps's? I definitely see the advantages for games like Civ.

I'm also not looking for too much fiddling really.

Edit: $35 is a great price for a controller, but I could put that towards some computer upgrades, like ram.

So I have a random question. I've been using a DS4 on my PC with DS4Windows. But recently I haven't been able to use it wirelessly because of higher latency than when I first started using it. Is there any way to reduce latency, do I need to get another Bluetooth dongle, or what?

This might be a game.

I don't know if it's for you, but I personally won't ever go back to dual analog for shooters. Aiming with the right pad and gyro is a gamechanger. The only trouble with recommending it is that it does require some patience and time.

Has Steam always shown how much money in total I've spend on Steam or is than an Enhanced Steam feature? I don't want to know that stuff >_>

Episodes 1 and 2 are under no risk of being removed as far as I can tell, but the option to purchase the season pass for the remaining episodes is now gone, rightfully so.

If you wish to buy them episodes then sure go ahead, but just make sure you realise you are buying an incomplete story.

Anyone has a list of Steam games with a 2-pack or 4-pack buy option ?

https://steamdb.info/search/?a=sub&q=two+pack
https://steamdb.info/search/?a=sub&q=2-pack
https://steamdb.info/search/?a=sub_keynames&keyname=14&operator=3&keyvalue=3 (a list of all packages that are set up to confer three spare copies of the given title)

Not all of them will still be available (annoyingly, SteamDB's store presence icon is excluded from search results), and there are probably a few two-packs that aren't listed owing to their unique names (e.g. Generic Space Marine FPS: Team Edition).

There is still hope as far as I understood that episode 3 will be released.

Hey guys, quick question, I just saw that the season pass for Batman Arkham Knight was really cheap and wanted to know if you recommend it. I liked the game a lot despite it's flaws, but I never really got into buying the DLC. What do you think? Also, what DLC is not included in the season pass?

Depends on price.

I bought it cheap before and still regret it, it's probably the worst season pass I've seen out there.

There is still hope as far as I understood that episode 3 will be released.

I would love a source on that cos all I keep hearing are numerous unconfirmed reports of the dev having shut down! =/
