How playable is KOTOR2 nowadays (windows7)? Do you need to mod/patch it to get it to run well?

Same for jedi knight games. I am thinking about buying all the jedi knight games even though I used to own most of them.

Lastly, wayward... anyone play that and have an opinion?

KOTOR2 is great now. They updated it and re-released for modern setups/resolutions. It has workshop support as well so installing mods is easy as.

was there a humble store sale already?

i didn't think this through and didn't buy gifts :<

i'm still not sure why people were expecting it to be anything other than an assembly line open world game, story aside

I mean, they said they would be actually taking advantage of the open world this time and what they did was add a ton of missions where you drive a truck, car or boat from point A to point B. And the story missions were better in Mafia 2.

So many things on sale, and I'm here contemplating buying Total Warhammer DLC that isn't discounted at all.

What have I become?
I have never played any of the Sims games

Where would I start?

It's actually complicated. Sims 4 is far and away the most appealing visually, and I think it does the best job "being a game" rather than just a playset, but Sims 3 and especially Sims 2 have a lot more content and customisation options. The only drawback to the older entries is they've become increasingly saddled with bugs and glitches due to their sheer size. (Longer loading times, memory-related hard locks, AI becoming broken and ruining the game, etc. It's particularly bad in 2.)

So, I'd go with Sims 4 unless deep customisation is the key thing here, then go with Sims 3.

And don't worry about expansions unless you really dig the base game, or can get them at a decent price.
I got Grim Dawn and I have to say, after playing for a couple of hours, this game is fantastic. Finally a game that reminds me what it felt like to play Diablo 2. Get on it if you're thinking about it.

You get it. I can't articulate why--it just feels right.

The constellation system makes builds soooo fun, too.

I too have been looking into Hitman. Is this new entry accessible to someone like me who has never played the series? How's the replay value? Story any good?

Yeah, mom never got into computer games much. Works on a computer all day at work so she didn't want to go home and sit in front of a screen again. She did like a few games like Sid Meier's Pirates though.

In other news, has anyone played Halcyon 6? It looks interesting but the way it's got varied stuff makes me wonder if it didn't get too ambitious and spread everything too thin.

Mass Effect collection in preparation for Andromeda.

Finally got XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Bastion.

Pity I cannot run Mankind Divided. But if I upgrade next year, I hope it sees a $20 or less price tag again.

Has been hovering in my wishlist for some time. It's that good, then?
Have you played any of the other Zachtronics games? If you liked them, you'll like Shenzhen IO. If you haven't played any of them, then you should try it. If you dislike them, Shenzhen IO is unlikely to change your mind.

My impresdion of Arma3 is that you can mod the game so it becomes any other shooter you might want. In which case should I get that instead of payday 2 or is everyone playing overwatch type like shooters now. the pool of people I can with is small since im in japan and people game on toasters if they even have a pc.

I've finally decided to Idle Master all of my cards. Most of them are worth jack, but nevertheless, currently sitting at € 7,75 in card money and with over 90 cards still listed on the market. Almost got that free copy of Axiom Verge which I have been aiming for. :D

Edit: Though with a bit of luck maybe I can stretch it and get Hyper Light Drifter instead.

Nah, go with your first thought and get Axiom Verge - if you have even the slightest liking for all things Metroid, you'll not regret it!

Tempted to get Hitman. Someone tell me why I shouldn't.

The only reason you shouldn't is because it's been as low as $15 for a Steam code at Gamestop recently. Although, that's gone back up again.

The hell.. I can only assume you play without markers and are super meticulous about mastering each level.

So I have a random question. I've been using a DS4 on my PC with DS4Windows. But recently I haven't been able to use it wirelessly because of higher latency than when I first started using it. Is there any way to reduce latency, do I need to get another Bluetooth dongle, or what?

Any ideas?

Well, looks like I'm getting Hitman now.

Yeah, this was my first Hitman game too. I'd seen and played the others a little but never really followed the franchise. Picked up this based on good word of mouth and it's amazing. One of my favourite games of the year. Lots of replay value and a great game all round.

I bought mgsv and the beginning pissed me off so much. I lost count of how many cutscenes I skipped just to get to the gameplay. Then the first few bits of gameplay consisted of several segments of fucking slow crawling. Does it pick up soon? Should I stick through it? Is there a good game in there after all the bullshit.

I haven't, but something about Shenzhen just caught my eye enough to want to give it a try. Yours is the first time I've heard of it being in the running for someone's GOTY list, plus I know you enjoy shmups so I trust your judgement :-)

Dear lord =/

I've put in 34 hours into Hitman so far, and to be fair that's with me only actually having mastered one of the episodes to max level, and I have done little of the user-made and escalation contracts.

So I could easily see 100+ hours in that game if you're a completionist.
