It will probably contain the games you bought during the steam sale, you know it's true.

clearly you havent been following my super scientific aproach to my sale purchases to specifically avoid this

I'll just wait until after next Friday to play any of them. That way if they do show up in the bundle, I will just refund the ones I bought on Steam.

Not like I don't have plenty of other games to keep me busy in the meantime.

What are the best games to get on steam that would suit being put in an arcade cabinet?

(Other than the shmups because I already have my shmups purchased!)

Haha I knew it was her!

Back on topic, I bought Master of Orion (the only game ive bought so far) and I absolutely love it. Its hitting those same notes that Civ hits for me, but in space.

I played through the Soul Reaver games and Defiance just recently. None of them officially have controller support. They play just fine with a Steam Controller or DS4 via Big Picture Mode, although the analog stick will be acting as digital input. This works well enough imo. Defiance almost seems to compensate for it, even if you're using a keyboard.

can't remember for sure but i think i used xpadder for soul reaver 1 and 2

Good enough for me! Probably my fav series of all time.Been dying to play these games again so even with digital only controls I think I can manage ..just once it wasn't keyboard only
Thanks!

Ok guys, I want some advice my winter sale's haul is looking like this so far:

DOOM
MKX Kombat Pack 2
Trials of the sky
Ys I & II +
Deponia

I have about $9~$10 dollars left to buy. I was thinking about buying Arkham Knigth's season pass with the premium edition, but now I'm not so sure. I'm craving for some RPGs or adventure games. Any good ones that can fit my budget? Aside from sequels to the ones I posted above.

Do you already own Ys Oath in Felghana or Ys Origin?

From selling cards I've built my Steam credit up enough to buy Abzu.

Exploring underwater sounds great, but does it get boring if there's no danger? Unsure on if I want to take a chance on it.

I want something I can spend a lot of time playing. don't really care that much about story. only one game

Edit:
forgot darkest dungeon..

I got way more than I expected, but I'm excited to play everything I got. Last pickups for this one:
Hyperlight Drifter
Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition
UnEpic

Wow, another whole year has gone by. It's my birthday, again. (Yei?)

I got some money so I guess I will pull the trigger with some games (the backlog wins, I guess) any recommendation from my wishlist? Does anyone know if Helldivers is fun to play solo? It looks cool and fun, but I think it depends a lot in being played coop.

Dirt Rally

Best looking racer and you actually feel like you are learning rally physics as you play the game.

I think it depends on how comfortable you are playing with randoms. Like a couple other games mentioned this game is a lot like L4D where part of the fun is cooping with humans so you can have fun saving your teammates or you accidentally orbital drop ammo and he runs under the pod accidentally and explodes stuff like that, the chaos is part of the fun.

So any other 10 bucks for games beside Axiom Verge, Stardew Valley and Ori? Currently AV is at the top. I'm not gonna be big in multiplayer games though, been wanting to try Overcooked by I heard it's essentially a coop.

I only bought for myself I am Setsuna, Mankind Divided (honorary since it was before the sale started in case the price changed from the Midweek Madness - it didn't) and Pony Island. That'd make for the best god damn Humble Monthly yet and I'd make a profit on the bundle itself flipping the keys. Or a nice gift out of them at least.

Though I was gifted Dex and Toren. Could see those showing up along with Pony Island, but I'd just bounce those back at my brother then.

EDIT: Vermintide had my interest anyway, though I need to free up space to play it.

Posted this in the Steam forums but not response yet sooo...can anybody help? My laptop suddenly won't run N++

So ever since the patch, the game won't load on my laptop at all. I click PLAY in Steam, and the little window comes up saying it's launching, but the game doesn't load. I've tried running it directly from the .exe in the steamapps/common folder, but the same thing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times, but nothing is working.

Can anybody advise?

Windows 7 Professional
Intel(R) Pentium (R) 3805U @ 1.90GHz 1.90GHz

Limbo is really excellent and you can finish it quickly.

The Witness is fantastic if you're into puzzles and relaxing games.

Shadowrun Returns is good, but Dragonfall is waaaaaay better.

You should only get Trails in the Sky SC if you've played the first game, as it's a direct sequel.

Dragon's Dogma. Get it as soon as possible, unless you hate fun combat systems.

In my time with the game I wasn't bored in the slightest.

Everything about the ocean is incredible, but I think videogames and their need for constant threats like dangerous sea-life and oxygen-limits tend to get in the way of experiencing it.

broken record time.

Paint it Back's content is ridiculous.

also ridiculous. Cards. Selling cards. Its literally magic money. I dont get it. But I like it.

Final Fantasy Tactics is the only strategy RPG I've ever played and I loved it. Should I get Disgaea? What's so special about it? What keeps people motivated to keep leveling up their characters?

MGSV has like 300+ hrs of content across campaign, side stuff and several multiplayer modes. You can push it even farther with how its designed. Gameplay is amazing too and its such a great podcast game after you finish the story. Overall a masterpiece stealth action game. There is nothing like it so I say go for it.

My mate got me a £20 voucher for Steam but I'm torn (my wishlist for reference)

I could grab a few smaller titles (Virgina, Sea Will Claim Everything, Ghost 1.0 etc)

Or I could go for Hitman, XCOM 2 or put the cash towards something like Dishonored 2 or NMS.

Help me GAF!

You are vastly, vastly overstating the amount of "content" in MGSV. It's got a fifteen hour campaign that's torturously stretched out to 40 hours and another hundred hours of completely mindless open world stealth-action content to be had.

Also, it might be even worse now with all of Konami's patches. For a while there every patch came with a terrible change.

I'd recommend XCOM 2 out of those choices, but I'm heavily considering Hitman myself.

I think it really depends if you're looking for a lot of variety (indies), strategy (XCOM 2), stealth (Hitman / Dishonored 2) or NMS.

is it worth getting the definitive version?

I played it for 320+ hrs and I barely even touched Metal Gear Online. Its easily one of the largest games ever made. On top of that its designed to never end so its perfect for people who are looking for a lengthy game to just play, grind through and have fun.

And no the patches didn't make it worse. The patches forced people to participate more in the online stuff which in turn extended the scale of the game for everyone long term. Yes some of the stuff was a bit scummy but it was vastly over exaggerated by people who knew very little about how the game is designed and just wanted to jump on the fuck konami hate train. They actually added a lot of great stuff to the game since release and also continue supporting it with various stuff to date.

is it worth getting the definitive version?

Yes it comes with Ground Zeroes which is necessary as its the prologue for the main game. Unless ofc you already have Ground Zeroes then you can just pick up TPP individually if its cheaper somewhere.

Looking for some opinions on these three games. Is Mortal Kombat XL worth it? Have the problems been fixed on PC? I'd really only ever fight my friends. What about The Division and Dying Light? My friends new to PC gaming are looking for a fun co-op game. Just looking for some opinions.
