Tell me about it :p

ouch

Are there any randomized loot games that are good that aren't well known? I have Grim Dawn, Titan Quest, Torchlight. I've played Path of Exile quite a bit. I love loot games. I have most of the rogue-like games, so TOME, Dungeonmans, Caverns of Quid. I think what I really want is a rogue-like ARPG with random loot.
I'd love to know more of these too. Preferably with controller support.

Thinking about getting GTA 3 as it is the only GTA I did not play. Is it worth 3,50 €? Does it hold up at least a bit?

Thanks. :-)

Sometimes having less diversity makes a game even better - I'll go for it because I'm thirsty for another entry. Thanks!

If you've played GTA3: Vice City and GTA3: San Andreas recently, then yeah. They've aged compared to GTA4 (which I didn't like) and 5, obviously. But if you could stand the other two in that era, GTA3 will be still solid. The only complaints I have is that after a certain story mission in the first island, a certain section of that island will be hostile toward you and no motorcycles (which the later entry introduced).

Wait, Fate/Stay Night is on Steam!?

I still hesitate to buy anything. It is not that I cannot afford it. I simply cannot decide what games to buy. There are so many good ones.

I think this is the first year I've not bought anything in the Steam Sale, I got a Steam Controller and Link from GAME for £50 and I found Darkest Dungeon on PS4 for £4 cheaper and that's it

So I need to buy another $5.50 game to have spent enough to get a card. Any recommendations?

I was thinking Abzu, but I'm not sure. Doesn't look like you do anything other than swim around and try to piece a story for yourself from cave drawings. I did like Journey enough, but this looks even more obscure. Does look really pretty, though. More importantly, I'm thinking of buying the physical PS4 version since I like collecting.

Another option I was thinking was a combo of Age of Gladiators, a simple management game that looks up my alley, along with some other $3 game. I was also thinking Shadwen with a cheap $1.50 game, but that game dropped in price so fast that I feel it'll be on PS+ sooner than later.

My final haul for this year:

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD
Final Fantasy IX
Stardew Valley
Subnautica
Witcher 3 GOTY

There are still a lot more I want but Im in the middle of upgrading from my rather ancient Core2Quad to a i7 6700K so I need the funds in my account incase the vendor gets it in stock within the first week.

Was torn between the witcher and the entire age of empires collection but decided to get the new game instead of the ones I already have in some form on disk(Normal old AOE2 instead of the HD with its expansions).

Got Stardew Valley because I love Harvest Moon games and from my understanding the developer is working on multiplayer so it could be a nice relaxing game for my LDR girlfriend and myself. Will be playing Terraria to scratch that multiplayer itch in the meantime.

Got the FF games because both of them were wonderful and I want to revisit 9 at some point because even though I had a good time with it it's just a massive blur to me now when I try to recall.

And subnautica because it seems fun on streams and has atleast some elements that draw me to it whereas most games in that genre seem rather dull to me.

*Eagerly awaits new upgrade to jump into witcher 3*

it sounds like Ronin but thats sidescroll not top down

edit: damn you and your stupid carrot Ventara! :(

Looking for some opinions on these three games. Is Mortal Kombat XL worth it? Have the problems been fixed on PC? I'd really only ever fight my friends. What about The Division and Dying Light? My friends new to PC gaming are looking for a fun co-op game. Just looking for some opinions.

Dying Light is great. Early game nights are a ton of fun.

I completely forgot about the meta game this time around.

Which is odd, cause, hey, free money :)

Anyone have any spare to craft the badge?

Does anyone have recommendations for a must play game? I know it is tough to ask but I am looking for something that is so good that you will want to finish til the end. I finally have free time and was looking for a purchase tonight. Some games that caught my eye:

OxenFree
Hyper Light Drifter
Dying Light
Dark Siders 1 over 2
Axiom Verge
Dead by Daylight
XCOM 2(Not sure if I am in the mood for a strategy game but the plot looks interesting)

Any other suggestions? Thoughts?

Thanks!

no I bought it when it had 50% discount, like 2 weeks after release, which nobody understood why it had such a discount.

swing and a miss Tizoc, swing and a miss. Nice try tho.

Which put it at $6.49.

Paint it Back was $5.99 during Winter Seal 2015, and is only around $1 cheaper now ($4.79) one year since then.

I have 231 steam games and 101 on my wish list it haven't bought a single game this sale because nothing looks appealing other than dead rising 3 and dark souls 3. I just wanna spend money 😭

Does anyone know if Starbound will maintain it's high price for the foreseeable future? I mean, like has the developer said as much or anything regarding it, like what Shovel Knight devs did? The game has been on my wishlist for years but has barely dropped in price. Told myself I'd get it at 50% off, but that hasn't happened yet.

whats your point?

Nothing major, but I get what you mean by waiting for bundles to get some games. I myself was impressed that Paint it back hasn't been in a bundle all year long (same goes for Ghost 1.0). I ended up getting the latter in the Winter Seal recently.

Sometimes we just say 'eff it' and just get certain games we're interested outside bundles.

Tom Francis (Gunpoint, Heat Signature) is going to work at Valve (but not for Valve) for 3 months.

The Valve thing
They want my input on something, and I’d obviously welcome theirs on Heat Sig, so I’ve accepted their offer to come and work on it at their offices instead of my bedroom. I’ll still be independent, self-employed and pretty much full time on Heat Sig, but I’m very excited to be around people again – especially these people. I’ll be there for 3 months at most, at which point the siren song of visa waiver laws will call me home.

Ditto for the developer of Onward.

The past few months have been amazing. Onward has grown a lot since August 30th, and will continue to progress even more in 2017! I'm very thankful for such a great community, as well as your patience with me being a single dev. I do have one big announcement for you today: Valve has invited me to work on Onward at their offices in January, this means that many more awesome developments are coming in Onward's future!

XCOM 2 will grind you into dust if you're not familiar with it. Don't go in expecting a walk through the story. If you're fine with that, then go for it.

Play XCOM: Enemy Unknown for something a bit more approachable. It's been wholly replaced by XCOM 2, but is still a great, if difficult, ride on its own.

But if you're looking for something that takes you and won't let go, look into Life is Strange, Tales From the Borderlands, or a bigger game like Witcher 3 or its DLC, or Stardew Valley (assuming you haven't played any of them already).

Also, I'm noticing a theme of zombies in your list, so I'll also throw in a suggestion for State of Decay. The original was a whole lot of fun, and I imagine the remaster is more of that (IIRC the remaster had some issues vs. the base game, though).

I wonder what Valve is up to if they're bringing in a bunch of game developers. Perhaps they're working on some new kind of game development tools?

Also, obligatory reminder for everyone to listen to the best PC Gaming podcast Crate & Crowbar.

Isometric cyberpunk in the last year or two made me think of Brigador, but that doesn't really fit the rest of the things you mentioned.

Really have no idea on this one. Ronin would've been the other guess but that's already been ruled out.

Run makes me think of Shadowrun.
