I think the games are grouped (platinum, gold, silver...) but not ordered. If you reload, the order inside each group changes. That said, seeing NMS in the top group is...er... incredible.

I'm happy to see a lot of Paradox games in the list.
I mean, it's hardly surprising. The game reach 600/700k copies sold really quickly after release, all at full price.

Are there any games like Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, with the Risk-style map that the RTS maps are parts of? Want to see if that scratches my RTS itch, but... man, DoW:DC feels so old now. Want to see if there's any more modern takes.

Rise of the Tomb Raider being best seller for SE makes me really happy. Mostly for CD. They deserve this. And i hope they give us even better game in 2018.

What difficulty is better to experience new DOOM?

I'm playing on the equivalent of normal and I've only died a couple of times. I'm not a FPS guy, so if you are and you want a challenge it might be on the easy side for you. That said, I'm between 1 and 2 hours in so I don't know if it ramps up later or what.

Looked into the 8-bit series? Armes/Hordes, the third entry just came out, Invanders, which afaik has a conquest mode. There's also Rise of Nations: Extended Edition which has a similar World Conquest mode.

I really like this whole "End of the Year" thing that Valve is doing. Hopefully, they'll restrict the Steam Awards to "games released during this year". Maybe add a few free-for-all categories.

No Man's Sky #3

A game that has one of the lowest ratings on the store. We gamers sure are a gullible bunch aren't we... Well, I shouldn't include myself in that. I saw that coming a mile away ;P

For what little user reviews are normally worth, its rating has risen considerably since the Foundation update.

I'll check them out. I actually have RoN:EE, from some humble bundle at some point, so I'll check that out as well.

Thanks!

I mean, I don't put any stock on those reviews, but there was a period of time there people were refunding it a lot.

Just amazed how well it ended up doing anyways despite all that.

Never played a Metal Gear game. Is it worth it to get MGs V?
You really should play the prior games first. They all build off the precious games story. Not knowing the story may help you forgive the terrible story in V, though

I get flak all the time among my friends for not generally liking the witness. I need a good coop puzzle game to keep me interested.

Where's my next portal masterpiece valve??

You guys/gals weren't joking on how good Odallus: The Dark Call is. Starting playing it last night but got a bit more serious and into it today. Feels like a true NES game. Fixes the itch for an NES Castlevania but has Health and special power upgrades like SOTN and Metroid games. Also a bit challenging but nothing crazy so far. It's only about $3 or so and it comes bundled with another of their game but I have no impressions so far since I haven't touched it.

Any recommendations for a casual strategy/city builder. (Not civ). I loved age of empires online but they shut that down, I want something more up to date than Age of Empires 2. Can be cartoony or whatever, just looking for resource gathering and building.

Nice to see Dark Souls 3 reach the top tier for revenue earned. Most places seem to have forgotten it in their GOTY considerations. I thought it was a great game with most of the criticism leveled towards it being that it was more Souls, which is hardly a bad thing.

So I think the first two purchases for myself are gonna be Subnautica and Lakeview Cabin Collection.

The only thing left to consider over the next 24 hours is Darkest Dungeon @ -50%. I've always been intrigued by the art direction & presentation values. Seems pretty crunchy too which is a plus. What gives pause is the game's rep for being so brutal in the RNG dept. I understand that the game is grindy and I don't even feel I need to finish it to get my money's worth. What I do see hacking me off is if the game comes off as completely unfair, like I'm always on the losing side of RNG. Otherwise the game looks quite dreamy.

Can anyone enable or not on Darkest Dungeon?

Darkest Dungeon was very close to being my GOTY, but all you said it pretty much true, at least you have the right expectations. I still got 55 hours out of it, and they are releasing a big update soon-ish with a new mode that promises to greatly reduce the grind while keeping the game hard.

Too bad GTAV never released single player content. I'd love to play it again on my newly upgraded PC but can't get myself to pull the trigger.

Done with sale.

latest

Splurged like I hadnt splurged in like 3 years. Felt cathardic. Now to go the next 3 or 4 sales without buying anything again.

No Abzu.
Cause its in Humble Monthly friday believe.

I forgot to PM the user for the 52 games challenge and now i'm not in the Hall of Fame smh

Steam published list of 2016 top sellers by revenue.

Age of Empires 2! And the remaster wasn't even released this year. That's amazing.

Dragons Dogma and FFX must've also sold really well for late PC ports. Official prove for ATLUS stupidity i'd say.

The Platinum Tier doesn't surprise me at all tho.
