Does chicken outsell steak?
Most likely, but I'd rather have a steak.
I'm not trying to crunch the numbers here - I'm 40 and I remember when "
Super Mario Bros." came out originally, which is before "
The Legend of Zelda" - but "
The Legend of Zelda" always resonated more with me and when I see the fan reactions to the new games, *year after year*; it just seems like sales are outweighed by the love and passion for the Zelda series.
Let us not forget "
The Super Mario Bros. Super Show" which is *notoriously all about the Mario games* - but every Friday, they had "
The Legend of Zelda" episodes [
13 of them], which were
far more popular than the Mario ones. I remember loving the Mario episodes, but being
super excited for the Zelda ones every Friday. Maybe it's just a personal thing, but the Zelda series has always been just a tad-bit cooler than the Mario series to me, which puts it *definitively* on top
"
Do the Mario!"
"
Hey Paisano's it's the Super Mario Brothers Super Show! *Take one step and then again, let's do the Mario...all together then!
...just like that!*"
