"I loved you on The Office."
fuuuuuuuuuck I laughed ;__;
"I loved you on The Office."
Only because you have the power of hindsight on your side.
Johnson was a guy who called the original civil rights act a "Nigger" bill. Lets not act like he was far away from Trump when it came to racial issues.
Maybe they wouldnt have to fight over memorabilia for money if your countrymen didnt make their father risk his life so that you guys could treat blacks like actual people?
If they are trash what does it say about the rest of Americans?

Effective communication requires an earnest effort from both parties to understand each other.Communication, which is one of the things MLK believed in, is a good thing.
One of MKL's kids is a major right-wing hack. Is this guy the one, or am I thinking of someone else?
This. Obama and several others have said the same thing. Constructive conversation. He understands etcBecause Trump just tells everyone that meets with them what they want to hear. You have to look at his actions to see the real Trump.
He will be back to criticizing Lewis in a few days.
I'm starting to actually believe Trump is a master manipulator considering how is able to tell everyone exactly what they want to hear while meaning none of it.
He sets up his controlled environment PR stunts and people lap the shit up that comes out of his ass.
Nothing is going to come of this, but people of consequence can't just spend the next four years pretending Trump isn't the President and refusing to meet with him.

Oh yes the fuck they can.
When it comes to a point that meeting with the President will grant you nothing, nothing, but a starring role in the latest spin for his alt-right army to use to talk down the people you represent ("See, Trump cares about black people! He just met with MLK's son! See, YOU'RE the real racists); when all your presence does is HELP Trump and his racist army spread their message, then not only do you have the option to NOT meet with him, you have the moral obligation to not meet with him.
You don't grant the title respect. You grant the person holding it respect.
I mean really, what do y'all think MLK III could have said to Trump in that meeting that the black community and black legislators at large aren't shouting at Trump right now? He's heard it, and he has no ear to listen until you FORCE it to. Meeting him at Trump Tower is not making him listen. It's you playing the game he wants you to play.
It's absolutely counter productive for a Civil Rights spokesperson to meet with Donald Trump precisely during a time period when such a meeting gives him cover for his anti-Civil Rights comments and actions. Trump currently needs the appearance of being willing to work with the opposition, specifically minorities, even though he has no actual intention to do so. This is a indirect attack on John Lewis, and it's incredibly disappointing to see MLK's son allow himself to be used as a political heat sink for Trump's bullshit.Nothing is going to come of this, but people of consequence can't just spend the next four years pretending Trump isn't the President and refusing to meet with him.

I'm watching that HBO Biopic about LBJ right now, and the man might've been racist on a personal level, but i'd challenge you to find a US politician who did more for the black man in the last 100 years. LBJ tried to drag men like Sessions kicking and screaming into the modern era, even if he might have agreed with them down in his heart.
Johnson was a man of action who didn't take any bullshit. Trump is a man of bullshit who only accidentally stumbles into action.
Or maybe children often fight over money left over from a parent's death
I'm black, friend. I'm even in the same Fraternity of both MLKJr AND MLK III. They're (His children) not highly regarded in my circles or where I come from.

Alpha man? They've(King Children) given much more to the African American cause than Alphas have for the past half century. Your organization is an excuse for young black men to beat each other asses, while piggy-backing off the legacy men before you created.
Well, that's nice of you to say. But Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is a non hazing organization, just like the rest of the NPHC Greek Orgs. : )
Totally ignore the part where I said I was black though. Yup. What have MLKs children done other than fight over who gets to make money off their father's name?
This is never, ever going to happen, especially not when the invitation becomes "meet the President at the White House" instead of "meet Donald Trump at Trump Tower". I've said it before, and I'll say it again - four years is a long, long time. "Non-normalization" as a political goal will not succeed.
So the plot of under cover brother? What if Trump is slipping a Russian-made control drug into their Trump Water (distilled hooker piss) and that's why they come out feeling "constructive"

I personally don't want to bridge the gap between myself and hateful bigoted people, but your father was a great man

They work with community organizations in Atlanta, with Hosea feed the hungry, and King III has his own nonprofit developing future leaders in the African American community. Funny enough they don't have this in the news, but only when they fight over heirlooms.
What have alphas done in the past half century? Outside charge poor kids thousands to join their "Brotherhood", be apart of a lame ass greek weekend at the park where they stomp around like a bunch of idiots, or haze each other? Leaders of the black community? You guys cant even run your own organization. I remember seeing Skip Mason driving around in a nice Benz I am sure you and your "brahs" helped pay for.
I wish black people would stop playing themselves. Meeting Trump just means you will be used to shout down others.
But at least we know where you stand so we won't get stabbed in the back
I don't know which line you dropped but you have to let that hurt go bro. You should really stop speaking on things you have no idea about. Especially caping for MLK III and his siblings, weird hill to die on.
How do people keep getting fooled by Trump? He did it to Al Gore, Bill Gates, Obama said he though things went well when they met. It's clear what he does. He puts you at ease then immediately stabs you in the back when you're out the door.

You know damn well that dude ain't learned shit.
Trump strikes me as an inattentive listener. What's the point of a sitdown?

Lets all guess the next black person he will invite to the tower to show his good will(fake), any guesses?
