as much as i'd like to shit on trump at every conceivable angle ... nothing will ever come close to obama's inauguration in our lifetime, probably. that was fantasy land stuff at the time. i remember i took off work just to see it
 
his rallies routinely had over 10k... not sure where that enthusiasm went. the media certainly hasnt been romanticizing it like they did for Obama, and certainly would have for Clinton. im not sure this means anything. also, the picture comparison is a bit cherry picked, it filled up a lot more by 12pm

His recent behavior hasn't exactly inspired confidence, and I think even his base is ever so slowly getting tired of his antics. His tweets on John Lewis were clearly racist - he's black so his district is dumpster fire amirite? - and his cabinet picks don't exactly inspire confidence
 
His supporters couldn't leave their jobs at McDonald's or bring their pills and meth into the event, that's the explanation.
 
Is it that surprising? He's not the first white president and I wouldn't have been that surprised if people started rioting and beating people in those crowds, considering how upset people are with Trump.

The only reason people who don't like Trump care is because Trump himself cares and makes a big deal out of it all the time. Otherwise I don't think this would be that big a discussion topic.
 
The Trump pictures were taken during press days before the inauguration booth officially opened to the public.

If it were true Trump would not have been caught trying to use Obama Inauguration images on his twitter etc.

The Trumpites have come up with a million and one excuses for why low turnout. Ranging from it was too cold to protestors blocked people from going etc. Too bad they could not put that much effort into actually showing up for their Candidate.

I mean the CNN video is literally time stamped at 12:13. 13 minutes after the Inauguration started so how could it be days before or any other spin

Yeah! Pissing Trump Off by not showing up. This is not how we should be treating a president who has made so many sacrifices for this country and its people ever since he took office. Even if you were dying, he would want you to come out to the inauguration.
 
Half of those are probably on for his businesses as well, and those of his government picks...

Averages emerge from variation measured in points in time. One of the outputs are extreme events and fluctuations. Not saying this fits within the trend, but your logic is flawed. Obviously I don't believe it was 45 degrees in the middle of winter in DC, but point stands.
 
I mean you don't have to be a genius to figure out that Obama got more people to the inauguration.

Would rather like to see turnout for Bush/Clinton
 
I'm glad the turnout was so pathetic, same with all the empty bleachers during his parade. The one thing that warmed my heart on that horrible day. I hope it's eating that orange piece of trash up inside, you just know he won't be able to stop thinking about it.
 
If nothing else this serves as a useful reminder to Trump and his supporters that him winning the election doesn't mean everyone else just lays down and agrees to let him do whatever he wants.
