Everything with the zoo rubbed me the wrong way. Steven being processed for the zoo was a weird sequence. Did no one in the creative team notice the (unintentional?) allusions to African slave processing?

Uhh, that scene worked exactly as intended. That entire thing is suppose to be wildly unsettling.

I'm in the US, but I almost bought a case of those things. Opted for a case of the Mystery Minis instead. Would like to get the Pint-size Heroes Jasper, though.

I'm not really one for collecting fandom stuff, but gosh is Lion cute and I want one.

Show would lose some points with me if they don't, to be honest.
Why show relativity in a visual form when they were on the ship if they are not gonna go the whole way.

We already saw Steven experience some time death in relation to Greg who was a couples of days in the Zoo while Steven took some hours to get there. Both ships left Earth relatively close to one another (although it is not clear how long it took Steven to return to the US), so we can't know exactly how much difference was between them, and through how much of that both ships were flying at relativistic speeds.

Is there any news on a Season 1 DVD Blu-Ray release in North America?

With it being a generally light kids show, I sometimes don't give them the benefit of the doubt. I still think they mishandled things on a tonal level, for the whole arc actually. Overall too light which leads to heavier moments landing too softly.

Disagree, the bomb really had some dark stuff on it and it felt all adequately dark, like people mentioned before, the Zoo was fucked up and even with all the sugar coating, it stil, felt adequately fucked up.

A lot of the physics they showed was absolute bullshit, though. So it's like they are just picking and choosing which parts of physics they like. That entire sequence was pretty disappointing to me. The show has been more contrived and cliched for the past few episodes than they usually are.
I hated that incredibly cliched "you can't tell because you'd die" spiel Pearl gave. Not only does it kind of undermine the unique aspect of gem society of not having personal worth as a concept, but are there really no cameras anywhere? pointless.

nope, on the plus side I should have my aus copy soon.

ordered the DVD version so it would be easier to deal with the region locking, figure if we actually get a season one in NA I will upgrade to blu ray then.
