To add to this: The story, plot, and dialogue beats I saw in my limited time made me say the following to a bunch of non-gaming friends: "I won't be embarrassed to show this game off to the uninitiated, the way I am for quite a few so-called 'grown-up' games." It presents really well, without trying too hard. Really liked the opening bits in the story about multiple cultures clashing. Lots of heart on display in that small chunk of gameplay.
The PS4 has a suspend feature, so even if it is just at those locations to me its not that big of a deal. Just put it in rest mode and come back later

Yeah, guys...Everyone posting some negative doesn't have an agenda.
There's many people thats excited purely for the gameplay loop, (like me) and wouldn't be critical of the story/dialog either way.
There's some that want to be told an amazing story, will put the game on easy, and hardly do the side-quest, they will likely want an impeccable story and the best voice acting
There's some that will spend 100 hours in photo mode.
Everyone's got taste.

Tks for this snippet man. I'm sure TLOU and Witcher inspired many devs to up their game in storytelling. I think this will turn out good and will judge the final game for myself. Really does sound overwhelming positive though so that's always a good sign.

Interesting. I wonder what they could do with the platforming and puzzle solving since those mechanics because they don't seem like much of a focus as the combat.
Combat seems to play out as expected overall which is great since I had high expectations and I was assuaged of my fears that they wouldn't play with the groups of enemies.
It's pretty easy to appreciate the density of the game overall I think.
I do feel that they could have stripped out leveling entirely and just let it be a perfectly balanced action adventure game.

I think it'll be a little bit higher. they have huge marketing on this, and bundles. not uc4 or destiny levels but pretty much every other ad I get on YouTube is either breath of the wild or horizon.
it's mostly gorgeous, it's open world, it's got robot dinosaurs, it looks accessible, and it's got a big marketing push. it'll probably do better than bloodborne (which was incredible imo but obviously niche).
