Lmao I'm playing the Platinum Demo and I seriously can't believe what a difference this is making!
Anyone?
Thank you! I don't see any screen-tearing, at least not on my phone.
If a game has the Pro patch doesn't it already have a boost? That's kinda redundant no?
CDPR made engine changes to get it running better on the PS4; as of the 1.10 patch (October 2015), the swamp already runs way better on the PS4 Amateur. It's not the laggy area (20 fps) that it used to be, and hasn't been for a long time. DF tested it in depth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWr2btuwpJQIt has already been tested in the swaps/bog and has already yielded better performance, very little/no drops.

I spotted one brief instance of it when editing the clips together (at about 1:30 in the video), but that's it. Just one torn frame, compared to the constant tearing in the original.
Im seriously trading in my PS4 for the Pro, now.
How does data transfer work if I put in my own HDD? What are some things I need to do when switching over to a new console?
Soma crashes with it onHas anyone come across crashing/other problems with Boost mode yet? It seems really weird that it's running so smoothly so far, who didn't Sony just enable it from the get-go?

No. Because the devs choose where the extra power will be used. Like add extra effects, better texture etc.
Boost mode will mostly fix/boost the FPS/screen tearing.
boost mode is only for games without pro modes
You know what? lol
Tried Battlefield 4, Conquest, Shanghai. Didn't notice much difference.

As of 1.10 and later, you're only going to see drops of around 2 fps, and you're only going to see them in the swamp and in the Novigrad market. If Boost mode can give us a 2 fps boost in those areas it will be really nice though.
Yes but I'm guessing the Pro patches mostly focus on 4K rather than framerate....
This isn't the case. Of 70 non-VR games that have been patched, at least 40 of them have improved framerates. (Not all of them have gotten exhaustive testing.)Honestly most of the Pro patches are disappointing because they've been focusing more on resolution than performance.![]()
Enjoy Fallout 4 before Bethesda inevitably screws it up and the Pro patch makes it perform worst lads.![]()
So huh, when does it release??
Yeah, it should be no more than a month from now.So huh, when does it release??

Holy Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.
So this is purely from the software and devs dont need to do anything?
Great stuff sony..
In the beta
Enabled boost mode
Got some sexy 4K wallpapers
Instead of playing a game on my pro me and the gf are watching greys anatomy lol

SOMA crashed once according to the person. He got it running after that, but reported a performance all over the place. So far from what I've collected from this thread both SOMA and Resident Evil Revelations 2 crash with it turned on.
Didn't notice any diference on Rocket League.
But I can now enable V-Sync without increasing the input lag, I think.
We need to start a list when we find a few more with problems.SOMA crashed once according to the person. He got it running after that, but reported a performance all over the place.
Gotta watch how to get away with murder 1st lol 😩😖Kick her out, she'll understand.
