Ps4 (pro) is beast confirmed. Planning to get mine for Horizon anyway. External drive support is awesome too.
Did anyone test Grand Theft Auto V yet ??
Seriously, how was this not available from day one with the Pro?
Microsoft better learn from this and have a boost mode of their own on launch day for the Scorpio.
Quote if you have PS4 Pro and don't have a code![]()

Simple. Sony had reservations about implementing it due to unforeseen circumstances.
Simple. Sony had reservations about implementing it due to unforeseen circumstances.. Obviously they tested it further and came to the conclusion that it was worth letting users brute force the machine, and toggle it if there were any issues.
MS likely dont even have a base mode, their abstraction layer is higher. That's why Xbox 1 S already did the same thing
If boost mode there day 1 you won't as many Pro patch.
Yup. Why risk bad news right at the launch of a new console? It's not like they could put ship the console with a beta! This way they have enough of an installed base to get some people opting into testing it with a wide range of titles and can find out before the public launch if there are any serious issues with titles people are still playing.

Is littlebigplanet 3 120 fps now?
So is bloodborne better or not?
Just a bit. Nothing major.
What Limbo is a locked 60. You've got some placebo effect there.- pt demo: boost mode does feel a little smoother switching back and forth.
- Limbo: boost mode feels a little smoother to my eyes
- Daylight: boost mode definitely improves the framerate over the original mode (this game's framerate was a mess)
- final fantasy episode duscae: boost mode seems less jittery than the original.
Gonna see about killzone in a little bit.
Thanks! I'll wait until E3 when they announce the patch (available now) along with Demon Souls RM.
Has anyone tried this out on AC:Unity? I'd probably replay it with a solid 30fps on Pro.
Bloodborne is a lot better in places where the framerate was actually tanking, like old Yarnham etc. In those places, fps no longer drops, there are videos of such stress scenes, you can see them. Frame pacing is not getting corrected using boost mode.So is bloodborne better or not?
Pro purchase validated.
Wish boost mode also have forced 16x af since resolution is kept the same and delta color compression should give it a lot of extra bandwidth?
Has anyone tried assassins creed unity? Would be nice to see how the boost improves the performance.
Yeah, just saw it. 😅heh there's like a whole thread dedicated to it
Oh you lucky dog, the Dying Light DLC is very good.Holyshit @ Dying Light. I guess I will finally buy the extension.
And Rocket League is butter smooth.
Been awhile since I've played but that's night and day!
Noticeably smoother in SP, particularly in high traffic areas and when there is a lot of explosions.
GTA Online is stutter free even in areas where there are a lot of players, it's a huge improvement.![]()
My question is: Which big publisher game gets killed by boost mode for Sony to make it an optional toggle?
Curious about Driveclub.
Any VR bumps??
