I wonder if this going to have stronger Drakengard connections than the first Nier. With Eve's eyes turning red and Watcher tattoo, the Yorha soldiers eye's turning from green to red, a certain Drakengard 3 character supposedly getting a mention in Automata, and a mystery red/black/blonde colored character. It's all pretty interesting.

Just watched the Nier analysis videos, and now I understand why people love this game.

Interesting, it seems that 9S was controllable with 2B being the follower at one point in the trailer. It looked that way since he was in the lead and the camera looked focused and centered on him like a controllable character is. I wonder if we can switch at will or if it is only during certain moments. I hope there is some degree of tag team control like the Dante and Vergil team up in DMC3.
No problem, happy to help! I learned about his analysis videos from the Super Best Friends and they were so useful for me, I want to make sure others jumping in find out too. And yeah he's great. Makes me happy to see him get recognition for his hard work.
We know 2B, 9S, and A2 are all going to be playable. The specifics for how that happens are going to be interesting though, for sure.

AHMAHGERD this talk is getting me too excited about what on earth will be in store here, I'mma distract myself and go watch some Gintama now.

I do hope they pull it off though, if executed properly I smell a story that will be inexorably tied to the in-game character mechanics in a very driven, Yoko Taro way...with Platinum also at the helm it may be too special to be true. And very intense.

I don't like the total silence on the PC release. I'm still in the second part of Nier on PS3 but I'd like a PC release as soon as possible (so the game has a few patches and discounts before I jump in^^). But it feels like the PC release is pushed back to late 2017 or something like that.

Cracked and decided to watch it, which was probably a mistake because now I really want to play it. I think I might watch some of those lore videos for Drakengard and Nier again just for the hell of it. March 7th can't come soon enough.
Man, the illusion that the blackened area is torn fabric and not just the metal beneath the replicated skin is strong. She's beautiful, though.
I need this game now.

edit* I guess I'm wrong about the repairs, but for some reason she looks less tattered than the concept art
I figured that 2B had also been battle-damaged at some point in the story, but this makes a bit more sense, I suppose.
I just wish that A2 kept the longer hair, it differentiates them better.
Actually now that i look at it, the normal map does seem to suggest that the "skin" layer is over the black one.
If you look at the left arm, you can see how the pink skin on the shoulder has a cast shadow//darker line over the black part underneath.
