At this point his defense is pretty much what we all expected, Hillary looked like she was gonna win pretty decently. And they've brought it up on CNN, that had Obama talked about this it would been seen like what Comey did right before the election with the emails.
 
At the rate of this irregular set of events, I am fully expecting Jimmy Carter 2020 to be a thing come 2019 if we're all still alive.

Imagine if he had. The right would scream foul saying he was trying to influence the elections and hide behind conspiracy theories. It needed to happen, it got us all engaged in politics more than usual and trump supporters are having their eyes opened that their party gives no fucks about the people. I do agree he should've done something more though.

Congressional Republicans will never abandon Trump. They are a spineless, cowardly group that time and again has put party over country.

Donald Trump, when he wasn't even the president yet, was caught on tape bragging about sexually assaulting women, and only a handful of Republicans expressed any kind of disapproval over it -- and of that handful, most kept their endorsements and all still voted for him.

You cannot and should not trust the vast majority of these people to ever do the right thing.
 
The sheer speed with which this escalated is rather breathtaking. We knew elements, or at least suspected them, during the campaign. But in a week we've gone from talk of the press secretary - just the mouthpiece of the administration - being replaced, to a senior advisor getting ousted, to this.

And it's still just getting started. Trump has been in office less than a month. 0_o
 
This stuff keeps getting released right before Don Lemon's show, coincidence?

Maybe he knows the truth about the pee pee tapes.

can you imagine what will be the subject a month from now? its hard to imagine Trump not being on his way out at that point the rate that this is going.

If we've learned anything these past 8 years, nothing causes republicans to unite against something more then Obama being for it. The best chance this leak strategy has was for him to be as far away from it as possible.

I promise you, it's no coincidence he's spent his time since inaguration on a desert island.

My thought is this would be fascinating, worrying and even comical were it another country. Being in the US, it's just plain scary and humiliating, with a heavy dose of "you gotta be fucking kidding".
 
The Republicans are such shits if they don't act on this. All those fucking queries into Benghazi and e-mails. None of that stuff comes close to this.

Another interesting point on Twitter. Why the fuck did the FBI send a letter that they were still investigating Clinton's e-mails, when they knew Trump aides were in contact with Russian authorities and did nothing?
