Turok is being remastered, apparently: http://seriousset.com/
I want to replay 1 and 2 with some updated tech, and be it just for the music that is stuck in my head for ages now.

I can't actually tell if this is the original or the remaster. This is the second Turok remaster in development it seems, given the Doom 64 EX developer is also in the early stages of making one.

Based on the multiplayer game that was on PC. Although this one is single player.

It isn't, at least the developer said the games development has 'taken a back seat' to the PC multiplayer game, and they also took down the website. They are indeed polishing up their original release though, a big patch was released on Steam not long ago.
Who owns the turok video game rights?
I'm still confused as why no-one has made a horror game featuring dinosaurs it's like a match made in heaven.

Just take Super Smash Bros. 4 Wii U, choose 4-player-mode and use four different coloured Yoshis. There you have Hot Dino battle action.
Didn't Night Dive also mention the possibility of a new installment by them as well? Not 100% sure on that, but it'd be pretty neat to see their approach to the Turok series based on what's been shown of the System Shock remaster.Bish is still thankfully working with Nightdive to try and get 2008 on steam. Alongside Turok 1 and the upcoming Turok 2 port on steam.

also hoping theyre working on a turok 3 port
Q: So we know Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is on the way and I know a lot of people are really happy about that, myself include but will the lesser known N64 game, Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion ever get an enhancement?
A: Our team has really been focused on delivering the best re-mastered experience of Turok and Turok 2, and we're ecstatic about the positive feedback we've gotten so far. Personally, I'd love to see that happen, and if this keeps up, Turok 3 could definitely be something we consider and discuss for the future.
Any updates on Turok 1 remastered coming to the Xbox One?
I remember them announcing it almost two years ago now?
I need these games on consoles!
I'm glad to see some people saying positive stuff about Turok 2008. I thought I was the only one who liked it. The setting was so cool, and doing knife fatalities on Raptors was awesome! Also, I really miss Dinosaur games in general. It feels like there hasn't been a good one in so long. Are there any on PS4 that people would recommend (I should mention I have very little interest in MMO's)?
Just Ark, I think, and Horizon if robodinos count.
I'd never played a Turok game prior to when the original was released on Steam. Since a lot of people tend to say negative things about the Turok games, my expectations weren't very high, so I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the game. I think it says a lot about most modern FPS games when a game like Turok that supposedly hasn't aged well can manage to feel pretty fresh. I might actually revisit this, since I just finished playing Remember Me and kind of want a change of pace.
I know this is a becro bump. But it really solidifies just how long it has been since the last big dinosaur game with a SP focus. We just hit 9 years since Turok 2008, and next year will make 10.
We were so hopeful we'd have something by now back in 2013

The fact that nobody has ever made a true Jurassic Park Survival Horror game is a massive tragedy.
This was one of the shittiest games ever released. The designers or it did a terrible job.
Awesome!
