Does the wii u version let you play the game on just the gamepad?
So after the glowing previews is anyone second guessing their decision to play the Wii U version? I really wish there were some recent reports on the Wii U version. If this is really the classic it's being hyped as I'd like to play it at its best. If I'm going to get a Switch for Mario Odyssey then I guess it won't be any cheaper by then... I can't get a Switch at launch at this point though so I guess I'll stick with my preorder. Oh geez.
Easy allies said the Switch version also has framerate problems.
Do we know if they have both? Or is it from the E3 showings?
This is pretty common for all companies on all systems specially when there is not a huge difference between both versionsI am definitely getting the Wii U version as won't be getting a Switch until later, but still pretty mortified that Nintendo are charging £50 for the version of the game on the old, dead console ffs.
So it's definitely not the time to panic, but did any one else with an early WiU order, like early December, from Amazon, get sent a message about the game not being released. I wanna say no duh it comes out the third of next month, and the shipping date was buggy to begin with, but I'm wondering why they sent it at all.
the physical wii u version just sold out on amazon. Whoever is getting the wii u version, better decide fast.

I just got off with the phone with a rep, preorders for the Wii U aren't being shipped until April... unbelievable. As much as I hate them I'd rather pick it up at GameStop....
I have both versions pre-ordered and I just got an e-mail saying my WiI U copy no longer has an estimated delivery date. Odd.
They better not send me the deluxe guide before the game.Glad I dived in a couple days ago.
And I got the delivery estimate message too, uh.
*looks at reddit*
Oh god please don't be true.
BREH WTFBreh.
Havent got an email from Amazon yet but my delivery date in my order says March 31st...
Which isnt too bad cause I was only going to play it day 1 and then spring break. Plus I had the discount.
But I really wanted to play it during those times... Ugh.
I like how you basically just gave up lol
Try calling em I guess
If you didn't get the email, maybe don't mess with it? But if you want to, just reconfirm shipping to 2 day, and the date should change to the 3rd. I called and they couldn't change it, but someone mentioned this method and it works.I'll give it a go tomorrow morning.

Remember that emulation can be a very long game but ultimately it has the potential to be superior to the Wii U or switch offerings (depending on if higher res textures or additional particle effects* are used on the switch version or whatever). Also much like the Gamecube version of Twilight Princess I don't see this hanging around on shelves for too long though the Wii U eShop will never sell out (until the day it shuts down).Planning on getting the Wii-U version if CEMU emulation is reported good.
The RRP of all A-tier Wii U games is €60/£50 (it's hard to always remember this due to so many great games being B or C tier). Personally I was more annoyed at Wind Waker HD because releasing it in that tier had made the RRP effectively go up since it's original 2003 release. Retailers not offering much discount though, we can't expect them to piss away their margin all of the time especially as this might be a less popular version of the game (so can't sell in bulk) or if it does turn out more popular people are more likely to buy it at any cost because it's a lot cheaper than a Switch (it is worth noting if you pre-ordered years ago you could have had the game for under £40, months ago £40 still but if you've left it until now it's pretty close to RRP after being sold out for a while). Btw on, Amazon.fr the Wii U version for €51.99 but once you add shipping costs in it might be fairly close to £50 anyway.I am definitely getting the Wii U version as won't be getting a Switch until later, but still pretty mortified that Nintendo are charging £50 for the version of the game on the old, dead console ffs.
I heard that the Wii U version loads slower. Does anybody know how much slower?
Speaks volumes about Amazon when they cant even ship a basic copy of a video game. If they dont bring it to me on launch then ill buy it from gamestop.
