They indeed have the exclusive content so with that usually comes the marketing dealDo we already know if Rockstar has a deal with Sony about RDR2 for bundles ?
YepI think that it's safe to say that Sony's big hitters will release in the Spring from here on out. I expect God of War in March 2018.
This weird anger toward the press for their coverage of SIE's release schedule is sort of off-putting. Very little of that coverage has said, "Sony has failed by not putting out any big games this fall." More often, "It's surprising that Sony isn't realeasing any big games this fall" or "It's crazy/interesting/surprising that PlayStation is doing so well during the fall despite SIE not releasing any major games."
In general, the press is adjusting to major publishers pursuing a whole-year release schedule and I don't think it's true that the press has been "unfair" to Sony. SIE is just the most dramatic exemplar of a bigger trend. Of course their strategy gets talked about.
I'm excited for Detroit because it looks to a return to the investigative stuff I loved about Heavy Rain.
God Of War, Uncharted: Lost Legacy, Gran Turismo, Detroit: Become Human, Dreams, Days Gone and Knack 2 could possibly still release this year.
I think Sony could do better this holiday season than in previous years.
It's clear that they did want a big holiday game the past three.
Feel good hit of the summerNew Hotshot Golf am cry. Everyone forget about it.
Is that a game or something?New Hotshot Golf am cry. Everyone forget about it.
All knack is goat jokes aside didn't it sell okish?I'm surprised that Knack 2 even exist!

Half the time I see people make dumb guesses like that I'm assuming they are throwing crap against a wall to hope it sticks so they look like a geniusSarcasm? Lair was a huge bomb and would make no sense as a remaster.
Already seems to have more variety in combat going by the trailerKnack 2 already seem like a big improvement over the first one going by the previews.

Knack is also Mark Cerny's baby.
Marky Cerny, coincidentally, is also the systems architect of PS4, e.g. the most valuable consumer product, not only in PlayStation, but probably the entire Sony Corporation.
Knack 2 might as well be his bonus. If we consider the financial contributions brought about by his technical and strategic leadership for the PS4, he's earned himself a generous cheque to make whatever game he'd like to make.
And that game is Knack 2.![]()

What a healthy line up that pretty much has stopped since December last year(TLG)
Looking forward to what gets confirmed for June onward.
We still have gt sport, knack 2, hot shots golf, Wipeout omega collection, and uncharted LL. That need dates
I'm excited for Uncharted: TLL. Hope it has a slower pace than the others, with more emphasis on exploration and puzzles.
Also hope Dreams gets released this year. It's definitely time for a deluge of info and hopefully a public beta from Mm.
Also I think at this E3 we might hear about the new game from PixelOpus, as it's been three years since they released Entwined. It'd be great if they experience the same kind of growth a maturity as That Game Company.

Really makes me wonder about Killzone though. I would have expected Cambridge to take over that series after Horizon launched, but with the studio shutdown and Guerrilla almost certainly focusing on their new, highly successful IP Killzone's future could well be in question. I could maybe see Guerrilla licensing out the property to a third party studio, but honestly, Sony themselves may not be terribly interested in keeping a first person shooter-focused franchise around given the heavy foothold many of their third party partners have on that market.
Do you really want a fps to fight with cod, battlefield , destiny, overwatch, titanfall, battlefront, doom, wolfenstein? SP story driven AAA games are where they can stand out because not everyone is interested in making those, especially linear ones, and sp focused games are the ones that have the best chance around goty time for the media. They just need to make sure the quality level is high and I believe they are on the right track.Really makes me wonder about Killzone though. I'm not speaking as to what I want, but rather as to what (from my admittedly limited vantage point) may make more sense financially and strategically for Sony. Killzone 2 is one of the most fun FPS games I've ever played, but that doesn't change the fact that the market is (currently, at least) saturated by titans of the genre who have probably raised the barriers of entry significantly at this point, to the extent that even a former giant like Halo finds itself struggling to maintain its own position. It's probably also worth keeping in mind that Sony has strong marketing and business relationships with most of these massive franchises at this point (Destiny, CoD, Battlefront, etc.).Do you really want a fps to fight with cod, battlefield , destiny, overwatch, titanfall, battlefront, doom, wolfenstein? I get where you are coming from but I just don't think killzone is something that can revived to be a blockbuster franchise. As solid as the games are, they carry a negative sentiment and the vast majority of fans and media just roll their eyes when a new one is announced. I think the killzone 2 PS3 reveal debacle and Sony trying to market it as halo killer in its early days are the reason for the negativity. Maybe they can try with a new ip but the chance of success in that genre is pretty low compared to others so I don't think Sony will go down that path for the foreseeable future. I personally was a resistance fan and I sadly don't see that coming back as well. Insomniac really should have doubled down on that coop stuff from resistance 2 for the third game because it had a very good sp campaign that was criminally overlooked.Only if it does something unique. All those games live in the same space because they usually bring something slightly different to the table. Killzone has always had that really unique weighty feeling and the great aesthetic. I think there's still room for innovation in that space in the same way it sounds like Horizon is a genuine evolution of open world titles. I don't like a world without more Killzone, and if given the right care I feel Killzone could exist in a world alongside Titanfall, Overwatch, Battlefront, Doom, et al.
