I haven't played much of the game yet but I'm seriously at a loss at these scores. Crazy.

Hopefully I'll understand better by the end, though I mostly got it because my gf loves the series more than anything.

These are all extremely early gameplay things, so I would think these are okay to post.

I'm getting kind of frustrated playing the game. This is my first Zelda. I have had a bow for the last hour+ of gameplay but I don't have any arrows. I don't see a crafting menu. How do I get arrows?

Also, the old guy at the Great Plateau wants me to complete four Shrines so that he will give me the paraglider, and find them using the Sheikah Slate from on top of the tower. Try as I might, I can only find three up there. I looked forever. And then, I went ahead and figured I would just try and complete the ones I DID find and maybe stumble upon the fourth. Well, I did one, and then went to complete another but I don't know how to get across this gap.

It goes down to the abyss. You can see from the minimap that the Shrine is really close.

Also, screenshots are insanely compressed. I don't think it's ALL Twitter's fault either, since I've seen pretty nice quality from PS4 shots posted on Twitter.

At the very least you'll need an axe. Did you get the one very very early on in the game?

You can't craft arrows, you have to find them from enemies. Find an enemy camp that has someone with arrows and take them from him

Spoiler for how to cross that gap

You can chop down trees in this game. Chop down the tree next to you. It is affected by physics though so make sure it falls flat

He's wearing an axe

Nobody tell him.....
It's staring you in the face, everything you need is in that screenshot.

Link's a Lumberjack and he's OK

Kill a bokoblin with a bow to get arrows

Hahaha

I have disabled pictures

Muhahahaga

Ironically, the cartoon means every boy (except Bart obviously) wants Horizon, not Zelda, so it probably doesn't say what the poster wanted to say.

That's absolutely and very clearly not what the "cartoon" means. It jokes about Marge being a clueless but loving mom that shouldn't trust on clerks because nobody should.

Thanks, guys! Completely forgot about that ability.

Use the [OT] guys, what the fuck

Oh I didn't realize it was up. I figured it would be at the top of the page and it wasn't.

So the clerk doesn't know which game people buy these days ? Looks dubious, he's the one taking the money. Then again, Horizon launched earlier so maybe it makes sense.

With 60 million PS4 already out, Horizon will sell a lot more anyway so I can see why he believes that. ;)

Please watch more of The Simpsons and stop embarrassing yourself.

I was skeptical of the reviews till I play it. It's really damn good .. it feels like Zelda and don't feel like Zelda at the same time, it's really hard to describe.

Are people really catching feelings from these Simpsons memes? Both games are great (I say this having ironically not touched Zelda yet.) However, one is being considered a once-in-a-blue-moon masterpiece. A little ribbing is okay.

A lot of sensitive folks on GAF.

Jesus Christ, 64 reviews on Metacritic but still holding at 98 points. That's insane.

These negative user reviews give me life though. So many copy-pasted "reviews", so many people calling out Nintendo's bribes, so many people freely admitting that they don't plan on playing the game before rating it, it's delicious to look at.

Metacritic user reviews: Somehow less useful than Steam user reviews.

Why did this rivalry between Zelda fans and Horizon fans develop?

Both wield bows, both have post-apocalyptic settings where machines roam around, both have plots that presumably revolve around finding out what happened in the past, both are open world games, etc.

But most importantly... They released close to one another.

Only one has bad framedrops though.

When I do get a Switch, which I hope is this year (come on bundles) I'll treat it exclusively as a handheld.

Also add high profile and highly anticipated.
