posted this in the pre-order thread but might as well vent here too.....my amazon order was in preparing to ship for the longest time through this morning, moved t shipping now, then got a tracking number and says I won't get it till Monday. Utterly ridiculous that I pre-ordered on Jan 13th, with guaranteed release date delivery, and amazon screwed this up so bad. It's coming from NJ too....when there are like 8 fulfillment centers here in PA.
Complain to amazon. They gave me a $20 refund to my credit card. My Amazon order still hasn't shipped and I preordered it the minute it went up. Yay!

No idea if it will have any relevance to Switch shipments, but I have definitely had an Amazon order or two stay at "shipping soon" or "today" and then just appear on my doorstep.
For my Switch order, it was at "preparing" for *days*, and finally flipped over to "shipping now" yesterday (and is on the truck for delivery today).
Finally contacted Amazon because of this BS.
"There was a technical error in the fulfillment center that caused a delay on your order."
They're telling me it wont be here until Monday.
If your Amazon orders are stuck at "Shipping today", you're likely in the same boat. He said this is affecting a lot of orders.
My Switch was shipped on time from Best Buy but this one was for a close personal friend of mine who couldn't afford it at the time preorders went up. This is infuriating.
Mine still says preparing for shipping but also says its delivering tomorrow by 8pm? What?
Same here. Gonna be disappointed if it gets pushed back.
I just went on amazon chat and the best they could offer me is "contacting the carrier to speed up the shipping" and extending my prime one month for free. The whole contacting the carrier thing sounds like bullshit and wow, one month free prime.....that's great because it seems like lately it's hit or miss on the whole two day shipping and release date delivery guarantee. Ugh. I'm a prime member and spend a ton of money with Amazon.
Only reason I went with amazon for this pre-order was because I had some credit to spend. This will probably be the last time....
Mine says it will arrive by 8PM today but has no tracking info. Would be awesome if I get home from work and its there waiting for me. But I suspect that I won't be getting it til Monday if not later.
Wouldn't that be more of a problem with the shipper like UPS?
I have this at the moment and I don't have high hopes of it arriving today

I'm only less than 30 minutes away from Redmond. Zelda arrived at the same location a hour earlier and is in the area now for delivery.

Amazon is getting my Switch to me on time, but I have no idea on the status of my ZeldaME. It still claims I'm getting it tomorrow but it hasn't shipped and I haven't been charged for it yet.
