Weapon damage is bumming me out. I feel like my rewards last 30 mins and then they are gone forever.

Also lol second village the
dye
merechant says "
today is a good day to dye"

Omg if you haven't been back to the plateau
theres a Korok hiding in the chamber where you woke up at the very beginning of the game

So there's a mission where I need to spread some fire quite a long ways, if you've done it you know what I'm talking about.

1. I feel like I'm missing an easier method than just running with a torch from lantern to lantern.

2. If not, where can I find torches? There seems to be none in the village (used a ladle for a bit).

Which village is this? There is no "second village" considering the game can be played in any order. O.O

I've been looking for the dye shop and haven't found it.

Fire arrows are your friend.

Edit: if you are talking about
the blue flame
, then there is a torch in the building you got the quest.

You answered your own question. There's a torch right by the flame.

Should have given more clarity. It's special blue fire from the base of the village, and I need to take it up to top of a mountain.

Man, its been a long time since I've played a game where I've had a serious issue putting it down, but this game is just MAGICAL.

Exploration, combat, dialogue, puzzles, environments, everything is just off the charts. I just want to explore everything, it's so hard not to just want to climb mountains, and check stuff out. And what makes it great, is the majority of the time you're rewarded with something, be it items, chests, or even rare boss mobs. It really captures the feel of being on a true adventure and the feeling of discovery is amazing. My GF commented on the fact on how I'm just making this "ohhh" sounds all the time because this game wants you to figure it out on your own.

I think I'm like at least 10hrs in and still haven't started a divine beast main quest, but I just recently got the Zora one started. I'm excited to pursue the main story but at the same time, I feel like I just want to go everywhere, do all the trials I can find, and just have more fun.

I love this game. So beautiful, so fun, idk. It's hard to describe but it's one of those game worlds you can totally just imagine climbing in to.

It's been a while since I played a game like that. Dragon Age Origins is another example.

Just got to
Zora's Domain

I have a question, is it possible to have two seperate save files for this game like past zelda games? I'm just curious incase my friend comes over to play and I don't want him to wipe my save by starting a new game. When I choose load game it only has the autosave's and my one main save.

Ok fine I'll buy it. Never played a Zelda game before, big hindrance to story enjoyment? Will I be at a disadvantage in knowing the ins and outs of game mechanics?

Create a new account on the Switch/Wii U.

Not exactly. The controls are new for all of us. The story is straightforward but you will miss out on references and nostalgia that make the story better.

This is my favorite game ever.

Also can someone explain to me how memories are tied to
the master sword? I keep reading that reduce the number of hearts needed to pull it but I am not sure if that's legit or not

The shrine where you need to guide the ball around the maze using the gyro is genuinely bad. Fuck whoever designed this.

I'm alternating between hearts and stamina. I currently have two upgrades of each.

Not to self don't (Faron Province)
try and jump on the back of the giant lightning dragon. Seeing Link tumble down from the head to the tail (getting shocked every time he came into contact with the dragon) was amusing. At least I got the scale I needed for a shrine quest!

Kass is pretty awesome. He complimented me for climbing up a cliff during a storm.

The only mechanic that the game wont teach you is full circle with your stick + attack button to perform a faster spinning attack (only with swords though)

I hate that even in BOTW there still isn't a way to mute the "nearly dying" beeping sound, ugh SO FREAKIN' ANNOYING! Can't wait for cheat/mods to appear for the Wii U version... TLOZ:SS was unplayable for me without using Ocarina codes to shut Fi's mouth and get rid of the beeping and much more.
I don't even carry skeletons' arms anymore because they too make an annoying constant sound.

Can I get a straight answer: is there a way to swap a shield or bow (maybe via the d-pad quickmenu) for a new one when your inventory is full without having to go into the menu? You can throw weapons to fix this issue but not shields/bows as far as I can see. Solution? :)
Ever played the first one?😂

Was just running around and Lanayru area and
just ran into a giant who was picking up trees and fucking throwing them at me. Then I ran into a wizard dude running through the air making lightning and rain and shit teleporting around me

This game is awesome.

This Zelda is almost too good. Its a good thing it has some slight technical flaws or none of us would be worthy of playing it. Should be kept behind glass in some museum as an example of mastercraft video game creation.

So I have some items
opals mostly, also curious about gemstones in general though
I'm curious if there's any potential use for these outside of selling them to merchants for rupees.

Please just keep it as vague as possible.

Evertide Island would be amazing if
it didn't send you right back to the start every time you died. After the third time being one-shotted by random bullshit I've just given up on the place for today. It should at the very least keep your progress if they don't want you to get stuck there without your items.

Turn off the gyro? Has nobody tried this?
You can't turn off gyro puzzles, only gyro aiming.

I don't know what section of the game this is, but can you not do a manual save there?

No. I completely get this sentiment.

There is no sense of momentum whatsoever because I'm constantly daisy-chaining a thousand trivial little things. I've been playing for seventeen hours and haven't found any memories or met any story characters besides one. I complete a bunch of shrines and get the item rewards inside, but they break and then it's like they were never there.

I have Korok Seeds I can't spent. I have raw materials I can't use. I haven't made any changes to my wardrobe or Sheikah Slate. For all the time I've been playing, I've ultimately accomplished very little, and it's been all for disposable or consumable rewards. Every time I try to make legitimate progress, I end up exploring for three hours and stumbling upon another unrelated story element. This is different from how I normally play these kind stuff of games where I see side quests all the way through before starting another one.

If I had to boil my complaints about the game down to a single detail, it's the impermanence of your reward for all the time you invest and all the land you explore.

This is a very valid complaint but imo you should actually follow the main quest until you get the means of actually using your rewards before you go too crazy with exploring. Haven't found the Korok's forest yet but pretty much everything else you can do by doing the stuff around the first two villages

Today I randomly got lost while looking for the fairy fountain near the first village and I end up
on the top of Lanaryu Mountain, did the whole thing with the dragon even though I have no idea what it's about. Wonder which weapons are actually repairable at least, I got this ice trident out of that but haven't touched it because I assumed it was very valurable
