Cant wait to see what the speedrunners do with this game.

Should be pretty insane.

world record is already 1 hour 24 minutes, and he died.

could easily be less than 1 hour 10 minutes right now. when people actually discover shit it'll be under an hour.

This was fucking horrible.

It does end up paying off though.

This is the best game I've ever played.

I think about FFXV and just laugh.

It's certainly up there for me. I'll know where it stands in another 50 or so hours of playtime.

Final Fantasy XV is just a bad game, period. It's an ok Final Fantasy game I guess, but it's a horrible open world title.

Guys, I am 23 hours into the game. I am so overwhelmed. lol I have only discovered 3 towers, and completed 9 shrines. I have spent so much time in
Hateno village
and the surrounding areas. I just want to spend the rest of the game there lol The rest of the eastern and southeastern parts of the game are also incredible.

I am not sure how long it is going to take me to finish this game. Probably months to be honest.

BTW I wish there was a way to save recipes. I hope they can make a patch for that. It is nice to have.

For those who have finished this or those who have attempted the dungeons, can you give any spoiler free impressions about the size / complexity of them and the boss fights? Just to get my expectations in check.

anyone been able to take down molduga?

Yeah.

Hint:
They don't like bombs

Full explanation:
Step on sand to catch their attention, then get on solid ground quickly, throw a bomb on the ground and if it sees it, it'll jump out of the ground there. Once it's in the air, detonate the bomb and it'll fall to the ground vulnerable. If you mess up the timing, you can use a bomb arrow instead.

You can also fight them with a sand seal by letting them come to you and curving away at the last second, and then shooting them in midair, but it's much more difficult. It looks super cool though.

I feel the opposite.

If I ever have to play through Twilight Princess' first 3 dungeons with the tears of light shit again, it'll be too soon. Talk about tedious.

How am I supposed to solve those puzzles where I step on a wooden leaf platform and
it lights up a ring of lights?
Spoiler tag pls.

It's a race. Go to the ring of lights before time runs out.

I did one and it took around an hour. And the boss fight was freakin' awesome. The lead-up to actually entering the dungeon was one of my favorite parts of the entire game so far. It was a legitimate action setpiece. It felt like something Naughty Dog would have made.

I've been taking pictures of the good recipes. The Switch OS is fast enough to check real quick

And...beaten. Clocked around 60 hours in since Aussie launch. 60 shrines down, all dungeons, obtained a certain weapon, and found like 120 korok seeds.

Still a few small portions of the map to really explore beyond a quick glance, but overall...best game I've played in over 25 years of gaming.

Last September, a little game called Persona 5 knocked Okami off the top spot as my favourite game of all-time after 10 years; Ocarina of Time before that. And now, the king has returned.

No game is perfect, but by god, I hope they can pump out more zelda titles like this one now that the game engine is complete and fully-featured. I will play 100 more games like this.

Thank you Nintendo. The five years was absolutely worth the wait.

This is the only open-world game in a long time with places that made me say "I want to go there."

GTA V maybe almost had some moments like that.

Is there some particular activity you do to get new armor? I'm about 15 hours in and have only gotten 5 new pieces of armor.

I figured that'd work too. I only had two-handed weapons.

Lol, I actually took the ball, moved it further back, swinged the hammer 6 times. It hit the top of the post over the ball receptacle thingy and went in the hole directly... Really lucky shot

The ambient music in this game is amazing.

it's alright

The battle theme is nice tho... when you're fighting something for more than 10sec and the violin kicks it it's pretty darn good

The guardians battle theme tho.. It sucks

I so badly want to buy the weapon
ancient bladesaw
. Can afford it, seems wasteful, but awesome.

This game is incredible, I can't put it down.

I bought mine at kakariko and hateno. That's 9 pieces right there. I found one in a treasure chest within a shrine as well

Plus the pieces you get from the story.

Have you gotten to Karakiro village? First place the story tells you to go after the tutorial area. In that same area you can upgrade your gear as well.

I've only completed one dungeon, but it was plenty complex, I got stumped several times. It was different from dungeons of previous games, being more like one huge puzzle rather than a series of several smaller ones, and in terms of sheer size it felt smaller than dungeons usually are, but it still took me as long if not longer than a dungeon in any other zelda would. Not much combat though.

The boss was not complex, but it put up a fight. I died a lot.

Ah ok so you buy it.

I've asked this a few times, no answer-

What stuff can I sell safely that isn't used for any quests/crafting/etc ?
