Does anyone know a good spot to farm
Lynels
? The compendium says Hyrule Field (could find none there) and the Zora place where you get the electric arrows, but that one only respawns on a red moon.

I need parts for upgrades!

Wow zeldas voice acting is atrocious. Wtf.

It sounds like someone trying to fake a weird British accent.

It sounded like all of the VA's were trying to fake terrible British accents. I don't know why Nintendo cheaped out on VA for their first ever voice acted Zelda game, though most of the blame goes to the fact that they were trying to dub over the original Japanese animations.

Love the game... But where is the epic music Zelda is known for? Some nice melodies, but it takes forever to hear it, Windwaker music was a lot more memorable.

The OST is considerably less bombastic than others past, but hyrule castle, gannon and all the
divine beast raids
have great tunes. Some areas too.

I feel like epic, overbearing music doesn't really fit what the game is going for.

You're meant to hear the breath of the wild, man.

There's another one at Ranelle mountain. Exact same spot as that pic for the memory quest. A third one is in Akkala, North-West of the Eastern Akkala Stable.

I started playing yesterday and so far, i have died more times in Breath of the wild then in Ocarina of time, Majora Mask, Wind waker, Twilight princess and Skyward sword combined.

I'm okay with this.

Its crazy how the frustration level never really sets in. I think part of it is the physics system. My poor Link has been folded up, twisted, head bounced off of rocks, I kind of like seeing him die to see they physics engine work.

You don't need epic, overbearing, or bombastic music to be memorable and give the game some more character. I think the game would have benefited immensely by giving major regions their own themes, even if they were mostly subdued tracks.

I dont think its at any time when the blood moon is in the sky, for me it was in the last hour before the event triggered when I got lots of criticals in a row

Dude

Duuude

I don't think the catchy tune style of WW or OOT would fit this game anyway. Nintendo as a whole seems to distance themselves from that nowadays.

Think about what type of enemy that is and you will have your answer.

Well, I had waited 24 hours and he wouldn't get up. But I warped away and came back at the ... appropriate time and he was ready. Maybe he was just stuck when I was standing there. Anyway, I killed him. Haha. Thank you.

Finally relief

This song is awesome, but it's literally the only one I can recall from the game so far.

That's because that's the one that resembles the most the old soundtrack I think. Short melodies that sticks with you. But I think there's a lot of good stuff.

So i finished the first 8 shrines and I am terrible at this game, I keep dying again and again from normal enemies.

Any advice on how to improve?

How many hearts do you get for each upgrade?

Just one. 4 orbs for 1 heart or stamina upgrade.

There are *lots* of shrines in the game.

Master the basics of combat. Learning the timing for parries and flurries will help you immensely. I still struggle but i spent like half an hour fighting low level enemies to practice its been easier.

Your going to die a lot, especially when you don't have real strong weapons (which is a lot of the time).

Just have to pick your battles, and do shrines.

So I've been trying to tame
the Royal White Stallion
for an hour and seem to be making no progress; any advice? Is it wrong to just spam L?

I'm at my wit's end right now...

Ugh I need to catch up to at least 10 more hours, but I've got midterms! Just a few more days...

did y'all find that a guide was helpful? I've never used a guide for a Zelda game before, but I'm finding the size of the map super intimidating and also it feels kind of strange riding past places not knowing if I will come back or if I'm missing something from the areas etc etc

Just keep going. You'll die a lot in the beginning. Once you get some armor and a couple health upgrades it'll get better, but a lot of enemies still will kill you in 2-3 hits. I'm almost 40 hours into the game now and that hasn't changed. My best advice for you:

Don't get hit.
And keep food ready for when you do get hit.

I need one to bring the blue flame all the up to the lab. I don't have any wooden weapons on me.

You could always try hitting some of the bigger bushes or some trees and hope you get some branches out of it.

The game world is just so utterly complete and well thought out and convincing, it's probably the most "real" open world I've ever played. It's seriously good.

The only two omissions for me are being unable to interact with most animals (especially dogs ;-;) and the lack of underwater swimming.

This game is just too damn big. I've somewhat thoroughly explored the the first three areas, going east, and now starting to feel burned out even though the map is over 50% uncovered and I've stopped being thorough while going north. Going to have to start skipping a lot of stuff, I guess everything but quests and shrines, and focus on getting those divine beast down.

I broke it by accident. :(

I think items respawn when you fast travel, but I'm not sure. I think there are usually torches at stables. Off the top of my head, there's also that torch in the beginning of the game, at the shrine of resurrection where you meet the old man.
