I literally broke from playing to post that I beat Lynel. Hardest fight of the game so far. Took me probably 20+ tries.

Haha, oh man I just found one of the
memories
by pure accident with no intention of actual searching for it. I guess I had to be lucky just sometime :D

Finished the story yesterday since I wanted to take a break from Zelda and finish Horizon, but I'll definitely be coming back. Found only 65 shrines, so I have ways to go there.

Really enjoying the game - the exploration is great.

Just stripped down naked and followed a leaf through the woods... Not sure if my armor was making noise, had to be sure lol

so the minigame on
eventide island
, is there a higher max than 36? I'm just getting rupees as a reward and I thought I got all the possible
rings

Shrine quest help in the Rito area:

So I'm at this shrine quest near the Rito village. Got all the little birdies lined up and singing and figured out the order. Yet, I can't seem to figure out what to do. I've shot arrows through the holes in the correct order to no effect. Is there something else i should do?

Any ideas?

Lol I've finished literally everything except actually killing ganon, every time I say "yeah i'll do it today!" I get side tracked by a million things.

Today I finished my house
Upgraded a bunch of gear to 3 star (finally figured out how useful the sensor+ really is)
Went hunting for armor pieces I didn't have yet
Raised almost 7000 rupees (gotta get that final fairy)
And did 5 shrines.

Rito spoilers

lol this chapter was so easy, jeez. The lead up to the dungeon was easy, the fight before the dungeon was easy, the dungeon was the easiest Zelda dungeon I've ever done, and the boss did like a heart and a half of damage and died to a few bomb arrows, of which the game nicely hands you a ton of right before the dungeon

The super jump is REALLY GREAT though

*high five *

I beat the one by the Zora village. Didn't want to stealth I wanted to fight the beast. Died several times before I got the hang of the back steps and counters.

That's exactly why I love exploring this game: I dedicated this entire game to explore a new map region (the south east) I put hours and hours into it and already thought I saw enough so I changed locations. Now I've returned there by accident and after all those previous hours I just found an entire new city down there lol! I don't even understand how I haven't discovered it before, but it's only proof again that there is just so much too see, so there's no guarantuee that will ever see everything.

I had completed the game, unlocked all towers, 70 shrines done, and accidentally stumbled across this particular town. I was blown away. I must have put 50+ hours into the game by that stage and felt like I had fully explored everything. One of my favourite gaming surprises ever.

My initial playthrough involved me doing a full sweep of all the towers before doing the first main quest, mountain hopping in between. What ended up being hilarious is that I missed most of the stables and some obvious shrines as a result of not following the main roads.

Absolutely have fallen in love with this game. Never played a Zelda game before in my life, kinda wish I had. But wow, I've been addicted to this game like crack, had to stop myself from spending the entire day just exploring. Finally have all the Towers, now I'm just going to do some Shrines til I have two Stamina wheels, since I already have 8 hearts. I think I'm going to search the forests for a certain sword before I tackle the four Divine Beasts.

Lost Woods:
I'm trying to do the trial where I'm supposed to follow Oaki to the shrine without being seen. I got all the way there and he was celebrating that he made it and just standing there. I was able to sneak into the shrine and complete it, and then I came back out and he was gone. I tried to get back myself and got lost in the fog and it said I failed?! Is he supposed to go back or something? I felt like I waited for a long time before I went into the shrine.

Talk to him after he reaches the end and starts dancing. Yea, it's confusing.

This guy running the snowball minigame must be the richest dude in Hyrule.

Atleast he's funding all my armor sets.

I screwed this up the first time too. You have to talk to him while he's jumping. BUT if you have the shrine as a warp point you can start there, work your way back, trigger his approach/stealth sequence then just run back to the shrine and AFK while he waddles over.

Did a once over of about 80% of the map.

"Damn I have to be almost done with all the Shrines"

*Sees only 56 Shrines discovered*

RIP in piece 100% for Shrines.

Sweet! Thanks, dude.

OK, one last question(end game related):

So I got twenty hearts, two stamina wheels, got all the fairies(aside from the horse one), finished all the main dungeons and have a great assortment of weapons, shields, bows and such. If I go ahead and beat Ganon can I keep playing the overworld till I clear it?

The save system here makes me a bit cautious about it. Want to head to the castle as I know there's one last memory there and a few side quests tied to it.

You'll be fine, the game will stop auto-saving when you start the fight with Ganon, so you'll start the game back at the room before

Well to be fair, some NPCs both form the story and random ones hint at the sword, one even tells you a posible location.

That's what I read from a review and was excited for it, but just bummed that
it's located in the same area that most people would want to look out for relatively early to expand inventory space. I wanted it to be an epic trek :(. Also another nitpick, all the trailers made it to look like the Master Sword is located in this abandoned, lost in time ruin... but really there are Koroks dancing all around it and even set up shop like a tourist attraction lol!
Still a 10/10 game though.

Anyone have a guide or a list for all the things you need to upgrade your armor? Don't want to sell stuff ahead of time before I get to my third fairy.

You can see
the koroks and the Great Deku Tree
in the last trailer here. It was kind of hard to see if you didnt pause but it didnt seem like a empty place.

This particular Zelda game is one of a kind. You would get some different (but still great) experience with other Zelda games. So if you play other Zelda games dont go in expecting another Breath of the Wild.

Where do I find the restless cricket? I need 10 and I can't even find one.

I think Beedle sells those in one ranch, also I think cutting some grass works too.

A couple wants a flower. I have a flower. What can I do? Their names are Tye and Sorelia. Help! I want them to take my flower!

I think they will just keep showing up places looking for the flower. Like, I think it's special they need to e the ones to pick it together? But either way, Link is an asshole for not even saying "hey, I got one of them over at ____".

At what point did you guys started using the spirit orbs for health?

I did 11 shrines so far a used it for stamina but haven't done anything else in game. How long can I go on 3 hearts?

I would say if you also enjoy the shrines/dungeons/puzzles of this game to maybe also check out some other Zelda games but this one is really in a class of its own with regards to the freedom and exploration and just letting players go out and do.
