I've finally been stumped. Can anyone please please help with the shrine by the
woman with the smoke signal
Theres a moving platform and a switch, I cant for the life of me figure it out. Probably super easy

I'm sure that this isn't the "correct" way to do it, but I
Put one bomb on the right side of the switch, and one bomb on the left side of the switch, and then jumped onto the wall platforms. Then I hit the switch with arrows to set it up so that I could jump over towards the finish line, and blow up the bombs one at a time to hit the switch to let me get to the finish.

Oops, quoted the wrong person, but I fixed it

Inventory management would be greatly improved if you could drop weapons by pressing the R Analog Stick during the quick menu.
Would be a nice thing for them to patch in. There should also be an option to drop an item any time you try to pick up another one when your inventory is full.

Yeah this treasure chest dance is a little annoying. Especially since you can't know what type of slot to free up before opening it once

Found a typo for one shrine quest. The quest talks about a left eye, but really it is the right eye.

Unforgivable! Fire everyone at Nintendo Treehouse.

Is it for the
Skull Island
? Because I thought the same thing but technically it's the
skull's left eye
, so it's okay.

Heh, once again I found an alternative method to completing a shrine.

in Kaam Ya'tak Shrine, for the final battering ram you're supposed to use stasis and then hit the ram. I forgot how to use this. How I got the ram to push open the heavy door was I found a random soldiers spear I had dropped to pick up a guardians spear. I used magnesis to pick it up and with the spear floating in air behind the ram it slowly pushed open the stone door. Haha.

If you register a horse at more than one stable, does each stable keep it registered or does it just go to the most recent stable you registered it at?

I noticed something strange today. At the very western end of the Gerudo Highland region, there's a mountain that's called "Agaat Mountain", but when I tried to climb it I got a screen prompt saying "you can't go any further" and stopping me from being able to climb it. It's at the western edge of the map but it's not quite at the boundary limit, so I kept trying to climb up it. I don't know if it was a glitch or something but it's odd that there's a named location in the game you can't actually reach.

I don't mind the horse calling system -- Roach spawning anywhere I wanted was probably the most immersion breaking thing in Witcher 3.

Speaking of immersion, I also like that fast travel in this game is actually something that makes sense in the game world. It's a small detail, but I really appreciate it.

I noticed this yesterday also. It's just the world border. Naming a location suggests its traversable, but clearly not.

Just dropping in for the first time, not gonna read around 'cus I wanna avoid spoilers.

This is definitely the most impressive open world I've ever seen. It's absolutely gigantic, the art direction is stunning, and it's full of varied and compelling content. So many things I've encountered thus far that have dropped my jaw, and I've only explored a small fraction of the map. Wow.

The only weak part to the game so far would be story but I'm 13 hours in and there's some intrigue at least. I mean it's not bad by Zelda standards but it's not mindblowing like the rest of the game. Oh and Impa's character design was downgraded.

Early game favorite exporation moments:
Climbing up and gliding between the twin mountains while completing their shrines. Activating the central tower in Hyrule Field while avoiding the guardians' lasers. Finally killing that giant boulder monster, and later finding mini-boulder monsters while exploring. The blood moon making the sky go crazy. Seeing lightning destroy the environment. Accidentally taming a bear. Walking into the red goo colosseum and getting swiftly run over by the monster inside.

I'm expecting there's a lot more where that came from.

I actually loved magical Roach appearing anywhere in Witcher 3. I guess convenience trumped immersion for me.

That's exactly why I love exploring this game: I dedicated this entire game to explore a new map region (the south east) I put hours and hours into it and already thought I saw enough so I changed locations. Now I've returned there by accident and after all those previous hours I just found an entire new city down there lol! I don't even understand how I haven't discovered it before, but it's only proof again that there is just so much too see, so there's no guarantuee that will ever see everything.

Is there a stamina upgrade limit?

I feel like I'm severely neglecting my hearts because stamina has more tangible benefits. If I'm a ways away from the max stamina, I should start doing every other at this point.

Ah man regarding the Master Sword

I was expecting getting to it would take an expedition of looking for info and legends from all over the world but I just... stumbled upon it when I was trying to find Hetsu because I want more inventory space... Granted I don't have the heart containers to pull it out yet but just I thought it would be more of an ordeal

Well to be fair, some NPCs both form the story and random ones hint at the sword, one even tells you a posible location.

Man, I think I went the back way to the Goron city. I got a cutscene for the Divine Beast up here *after* I walked right up to it at the top of Death Mountain.

Also - lol @ the Goron armor shop guys eyes popping at me for not wearing flame resistant armor.

Had a chance to really get stuck into this game today.

Great game. However i couldnt be more disapointed in NoA for cheaping out on voice acting. They didnt exactly go A list and even doubled up with some VAs playing multiple roles.

No one wants to hear the same Video Game VAs on repeat, but surely theres an older former A list Actor/Actress who likes money who would do it.

I've seen some
Lizalfos
that carry Thunder Spears, so not all elemental weapons are unique. Any ice/fire weapons carried by enemies? Hoping to mark down places to find stronger weapons.

Do some enemy camps have elemental weapons as prizes in the chest? And do enemy camp chests respawn?

Sweet, thanks!

I found a Fire Greatsword earlier today that I assume respawns on a small island at Western Hyrule Field that was guarded by some moblins. I assume there must be others like it.

I think if I had to rate this game, I'd give it a 9.7 or 9.8. The amateur-as-hell voice acting and the lack of any really satisfying dungeons slightly mar what is otherwise a sublime experience.

I thought so too. But I like the way they did it, it's
very Zelda 1. :)

Ok, how do I get Orange Ball from Impa. Someone said do all the quests around town, but I think I did that and still can't get it.

I'm not sure, some lizards from Death mountain I think. I just bought a lot of watermelons and cooked them.

Cold Darners I think. There's a stable in Gerudo Valley near the entrance to the desert where you can buy some.

Oh thanks! I had no idea watermelons did that. I had a cool saffina and added it with prime meat and hyrule bass and i got like 10 mins of resistance.

Missed the stable too. Def gotta go back for it!
