humorously, any of the major tests of strength are harder then calamity ganon

Not really, major tests of strength just require you to watch for an opening, whereas with
Calamity Ganon you have to know how to dodge or parry

Lynels are harder than anything else though.

Finally made it off the Plateau and is just wandering around.... this game is amazing. I got Link in the Nintendo Switch shirt. Lol

I stumbled upon the Wind shrine but I got so confused so I gave up. Lol

The
Gerudo power
is seriously OP. Use
all three charges
and you can kill a Blue Hinox with that alone. Also took like 300 health off of a regular Lynel. Geez.

I've died to major tests of strength and died to lynel but I never died to any of the main story bosses, and two of them I beat without even taking damage. It's like they try to miss everything. It was weird.

It's surprising how easy the bosses are in this game when the overworld enemies are much harder than you'd expect from a Zelda.

Ah man regarding the Master Sword

I was expecting getting to it would take an expedition of looking for info and legends from all over the world but I just... stumbled upon it when I was trying to find Hetsu because I want more inventory space... Granted I don't have the heart containers to pull it out yet but just I thought it would be more of an ordeal

Currently sitting at
a pair of torches in the Lost Woods
and I have no idea how to get through. I've been looking for clues or patterns or something, but I'm worried that I'm overthinking this.

If anyone would be so kind as to give me a hint as to how to get through here, that'd be really nice.

Major Test battles are not that hard. It's just a battle of endurance as it has lots of health and without good weapons you might lose them all before it's even dead. It's very easy to find openings on shrine guardians. All you really need is patience against them.

How do Amiibo unlocks work? I recognize the utility of only being able to use them once a day, but that doesn't really work for cosmetic items. Like, I used my Smash Bro's Link to get Epona, but now I can't use it again and I was under the impression that the Smash Link also unlocked an outfit.

Also, dumb question but is that one in game day or one real world day of cooldown?

I got my Switch Monday. Ordered Zelda on Amazon, prime shipping, estimated delivery is Wednesday. This morning at 7:15, out for delivery. UPS usually comes at 5-5:30. It's been incredibly windy this afternoon, taking down tree branches, etc. At 5:30, tracking update. "Delivery delayed due to extreme weather. We will try to deliver the package as soon as possible".

Ssssssssssssssssssssshit.

Real world day. And the cosmetic items aren't guaranteed. But you can save before using them and then load that save if you don't get what you wanted.

there was an enormous pillar of light coming from a mountain this night in the game, but when i got there there was nothing ò_ò
it wasn't the wishing star pillar, that is smaller, this one almost govered the entire summit of the mountain

I still haven't shield surfed...how?

I avent either but that through conscious decision making. No way am I doing that at the expense of shield durability.

Regarding dungeon powers:

Ive only gotten 2, Goron's and Zora's but these things are insanely OP. I know theyre on a timer but they legit make you so strong. Does this make end game stuff trivial or are there areas that sort of require these?

I know you can't use them in shrines and you can always turn them off if you want the challenge.

What's kind of cool is that there's another incarnation of Link that beat Ganon we haven't seen. The one from ten thousand years ago.
I actually really wish they would have just used an existing game for that backstory. Could have made the story connect a little, and have it be that tad bit more satisfying.

As is, the story ends up "10,000 years ago this thing happens, and their robots worked, 100 years ago it happened and our robots turned on us". I came out of that like... ok, I just kinda heard about this same story again, just longer ago. Would have been cooler to me if they described the events of say, OoT or whatever. "Ganon attacked a long time ago and got sealed in the sacred realm. We heard prophecy that he would break free, so we built robots, but he turned them on us when he returned".

If you're talking about
Satori Mountain
, there's something when the light appear.

Inventory management would be greatly improved if you could drop weapons by pressing the R Analog Stick during the quick menu.

Found a typo for one shrine quest. The quest talks about a left eye, but really it is the right eye.

Unforgivable! Fire everyone at Nintendo Treehouse.

I've finally been stumped. Can anyone please please help with the shrine by the
woman with the smoke signal
Theres a moving platform and a switch, I cant for the life of me figure it out. Probably super easy

Got me a slick bandana. Love the look.

Anyway, I've mostly been traveling to the towers on the lower end of the map. Haven't even done the first Zora's Domain mission. Figured I'd focus on getting new kinds of equipment and upgrading my hearts and stamina. Also wanted to register a horse for easier travel, so I got that done and came across three stables.

Hateno Village is neat. Only just arrived so I need to explore.

Anyone else think that it's strange for a game that prides itself on player freedom and giving the player very little direction tells you where the map is as soon as you enter every dungeon? I don't think Zelda has ever done that.

Prince Sidon's music. sooooo goooood.

I have like 17 hours logged and I've finally decided to make progress on one beast, yet still keep getting distracted by other things in the game. An absolute masterpiece this game is :)

It's a little unnecessary, but it's not that big a deal considering you cannot progress without the map.

Holy shit Zora quest boss
Not only did I know that you could cryo the ice blocks out of existence when fighting, but you could stasis it back at it for great damage!
Watching let's plays is fun.

This actually ties into another one of my complaints: at base, it seems like most horses are kinda shitty (I'm to understand that patterned horses control less derpy than solid colored horses, based on what a random NPC told me).

Like, I understand they wanted variation in horses, but they should have limited it to things like stamina and speed as opposed to the damn things veering left and right randomly.

That said, I'm looking forward to experimenting with the horses more now that I'm in post-game: I really like the design of being able to force slow motion by jumping off a horse and then aiming with the bow.

This may be a horse's true use :v

One thing to note is that horses have auto pilot when on a trail or road. Could that be why it appears your horses are veering randomly? I love the feature.

I totally agree, but it's not a bad premise as it is. I don't know why they were so hesitant to connect the games in this one after putting out Hyrule Historia and making the story in Skyward Sword so heavy handed in connecting to the others.

Does the giant seed guy show up early in game? I'm at the second village but still haven't met him.
Am I not following the right path
