Yesterday I managed to beat one White Lynel (using a beast spear, took me more than 150 attempts), then the Extreme Test of Strength (small Guardian with sword 3.0, axe 3.0, spear 3.0 and shield 3.0) and right after that a Red Lynel (using a big mace, on my first try!). Very intense fights, it was pretty cool. After beating the White Lynel I upgraded my armor for the first time and wow, it really makes a difference. Now I can survive 4-5 hits even from a Lynel instead of being one or 2 shotted by every trash mob in the game. I was making the game so much difficult without knowing it :P

You bet. The place is heavily guarded and everything will kill you in a single hit. It's still possible to go all the way to Ganon, it's just not easy. It's super fun though, sneaking around such a dangerous place when you shouldn't be.

I haven't had such an intense feeling of stealth sneaking around Hyrule Castle since I stole the Elder Scroll in Oblivion.

Although once you start getting some of the spoils of Hyrule Castle, getting caught isn't quite the same death sentence, but it's still awesome to sneak around.

Oh wow I just got the guide in the mail... there is such a massive amount of stuff all over the map that I never would have known about otherwise.

Same goes for ice weapons in hot areas. They will also insta kill weaker enemies in those areas because the heat causes them to melt.

My favorite ice moment was trying to kill mounted bokoblins, missing the bokoblin, freezing the horse which caused the bokoblin to go flying haha. It was a very much "this game" moment.

I am still not used to the beauty that is the
overworld dragons.
Every time I see one I am just in awe.

I asked this earlier but never got an answer (understandably so, this thread moves so quickly) but does anyone know the measurements of the special edition poster? Want to get it really nicely framed.

The Sheikah scanner annoyed me in really short order. Pinging constantly when I can't find a shrine isn't a good feeling.

I'll turn it back on when I'm actively hunting for shrines that I might have missed, but for now I'm leaving it off.

I got to Kakariko and found the combat shrine, which gave some pretty good weapons. So good, in fact, that now I'm reluctant to use them lol. I'll go through my crappier weapons first, though keeping an axe + hammer + torch around for utility does take up a bunch of slots.

Also found a few diamonds from randomly climbing in places. Helped pay for some new armor I bought, though I don't know if I should have saved for the Shiekah stealth gear.

I'm geared to the teeth right now and sneaking around Hyrule Castle still puts me on edge.

Quick question, what does the number in the bottom right of a piece of gear mean? Not the defense numbers but on the icon for each piece there is usually a number on the bottom right. Can't seem to find any info on this easily.

If the hylian shield breaks who can fix it? Haven't been using it since I don't want to break it.

Tarrey Town, once you build ut up a bit a guy named Grante will sell you another one for 3000 rupees.

Where can you buy/get warm clothes? I only got the Warm Doublet from the Great Plateau.I wanna climb Mount Lanayru.

Rito Village. It has the Snowquill armor set. Roughly 2550 rupees should get you all three pieces but you can choose what you need. Only needed two pieces of cold resist armor or some cold resist food, spicy pepper stuff.

How hard is it to get the Hylian Shield if you're underpowered?

Boss is extremely easy. Stalnox. One arrow to the eye and then melee attacks over and over repeat. Getting there would be tough if you trying to 3-4 star it with little stamina and not too great weapons.

Can you easily bail one you are in there. I might go in for some loot and then gtfo to continue questing a little bit.

Wow at the Lost Woods or should I call it the Lost Frames.

Lame that you can't cheese pulling out the master sword by eating heart-adding food.

Was wandering the south beach west of Lurelin village, saw some slighlty tilted Deactivated Guardians sitting on shallow water. Tried using Cryosis to see if I could flip them over, it actually worked! Got 4-5 Ancient Parts as reward instead of the usual 1 for the 'Search' function.

Small surprises like this are what make this game incredible.

Are there any tips for taming bigger horses?

I found this gigantic house and I've mounted it 10 times without being able to ride off.

Is there anything I can do to make this go smoother?

about 5 pages back I asked this and couldn't see a response. I will try one more time.

Question about the Amiibos if we pool them at work can we all scan them once a day? It's not storing anything in the amiibo with this game is it?

does anyone know?

thanks!

I found a way to farm
Dinraal
parts in order to upgrade the chamipons tunic. Head to the Eldin Great Skeleton and start a campfire on top of it's had. Wait until morning and then
Dinraal
will fly straight at you. Keep repeating this until you have the parts you need.

Oh man that's easy as hell lol! Thank you!

You can drink and eat Stamina stuff mid tame, helps with the harder horses.

Also just spam the hell out of that L button.

I'm having so much fun carefully examining the
memory photos
and trying to figure out where each one could be. Like the riddles, it adds to the sense of adventure. There was even one I just sorta stumbled upon. However, the
12th
one I was so sure I had found the right place, but I searched the area throughly and couldn't find it. It's so vague compared to the others, but I'm not sure if I want a hint or if I'll find it myself lol

Do you have to be there at the right time of day? I was looking at an online guide and I was at exactly the spot where there was supposed to be a
memory photos
that I didn't have and I looked everywhere and I couldn't find it.

You're aware that there's an in-game character that points you in the right direction to each of these right? Just wanted to point that out, as it might be helpful.

I'm trying to get somewhere that requires a lot of stamina recovery or boosting. Unfortunately, I've run out of Stamella Shrooms and Beedle is all out of Restless Crickets.

I'm around (very early game location spoiler)
Dueling Peaks
. Can anyone give some guidance on where to find ingredients to cook stamina restoratives?

It's the wind.

Such a simple thing, but the wind really adds to the atmosphere of the game. Calm villages become more carefree, mountain climbing becomes more harried, fighting a lone strong enemy becomes a bit more epic. Wind makes a difference, and I'm glad this game recognizes that when so many others simply don't.

I know this is suuuuper late but I beat one by (Stalnox)
fighting it close to dawn, knocking the eyeball out of the socket, punting it off the side of a mountain and then waiting. Instead of going underground when the sun comes up he pops if he doesn't have his eyeball when it is his bedtime.

hey, that's what happened with me too! i just thought i killed him but...
he was trying to get back to sleep, didn't have his eye and the sun was rising quickly.

I saw a bunch of birds flying over the ocean in a circle, went over there and there were like 20 fish. Used my shock arrow and had a feast.

But the memories and
Zelda's diary
shows that he is genuinely mute most of the time, to a very strange degree. To the degree that
it freaks Zelda out, make her think he hates her, and she has to make an effort to get him to explain why he is that way.
That's not normal. So given that, a lot of the time you really can just assume Link isn't responding unless he does one of his "I'm speaking but no text box appears" animations.

Yeah seems like he doesnt like smalltalk. He will talk when he need some info but thats it. Thats why it took a while until he opened up to Zelda.

There are some old flooded ruins on a path around Kakariko that lead to the mountains that I think have to be my favorite area in the entire game. In the middle of a valley, with ruined stone walls covering both sides and an old stone path. There's no other ruins in the game that really have the same aesthetic.

There's a memory here as well, and the road ends in a peaceful snowy mountain meadow area where a Lynel lives and makes it not quite as peaceful

sometimes they don't load in unless you're right next the spot

I found a pond full of more fish than I've seen in one spot and threw a bomb in and every single one died and rose to the top of the water. I don't know what I expected, but it was neat to see and made getting fish to cook super easy!

Had the exact same thought while playing this. It really is so simple, but it's fantastic.

The Hylian hood goes with everything.
This is true.

I actually bought 3 and dyed 2 in white and another in green to combine with other sets.

I am kind of pressed that after 40 hours I only found like 5 armor sets and 2 of them are still incomplete (
I have full Hylian, Knight and Sheikah with the Climber and Zora ones missing the legs
)

I need to explore more =/

Problem regarding sunshroom in Hateno Village
/ Ancient Tech Lab photo
quest:

I picked the sunshroom behind the lab before I even received the quest to take a photo of it.

So now I can't
take a picture of it.

What do I do?
Does it grow back? Do I go search the universe for another sunshroom?
