Okay, I'm just gonna ask...where does the house sidequest begin? I met the guy in Hateno who said I had to talk to his boss, but I don't know where that dude is.

Right next to the house. It's the pink guy.

Wait you're supposed to find them? God damn it I've seen two of those

I don't know but it left a lightpillar in the sky so I guess I should.

EDIT:
I got a star fragment from going to the impact area it says it'll fetcha high price but can also be used in certain recipes hmm

Just how rare are those Ancient Reactor Cores? According to the Compendium the
Walkers on Hyrule Field
should drop them, but I've never even gotten a single one from them :/

Explore a little more. You'll find him eventually. There is at least one person in the town that knows where he is.

Hey all,

Not sure if this is kosher but I wrote a little bit about what I think makes Breath of the Wild's open world so special and unique. I just wanted to share it with fellow fans of the game.

Hope you guys enjoy it If sharing content like this isn't allowed, I'll gladly delete.
You know, reading your article made me realize I did exactly a bunch of the things in BotW including:

Climbing trees
Catching bugs in the grass
Picking wild fruits
Catching and roasting fish on a fire
Climbing a hill and using the top of an umbrella to parachute
Making a bow myself and trying to hunt birds lol
Though I always wanted to ride a horse the closest thing I rode was a tortoise

Falco is Fox's rival, it's the same stereotype.

Yea, but a blue bird with the same head shape, the same eyebrow things and the same attitude is a little too on the nose for being Falco.

He's basically what Falco would be if Falco was a Zelda character

So has anyone found the infamous "Screenshot Hill" from the initial screenshot/trailer and done a comparison? Would be interesting to see how it compares, if anything's changed, visit it myself, etc.

Kinda regret getting the Wii U version because when I get the Switch I'm gonna buy it again and then I'll have to start over 😔

Anyone else doing the same?

Question about Ganon and the Divine Beasts.

If you go to Ganon before doing any of the dungeons, if you beat all of them, does it also purify the divine beasts? I didn't get a clear answer last time I asked this but could I just go to Ganon now, not save after beating him and continue from my last save and experience the dungeons normally and later take on Ganon again?

I can't be the only one having insane difficulty rolling boulders normally. Stasis is the only way I can get them even remotely to where I want them

So the first thing that happens when I beat the game
is them kicking me to the Main Menu and the first thing that's highlighted is Downloadable Content. lol

Anyways...I really enjoyed it. Fantastic game. I will do all the Side Quests and Shrines...but I won't get all the Korok Seeds unless there's some kind of Hidden Map somewhere that I'm unaware of.

Been out of the plateau for an hour, decided to cross this bridge I found.

Noped right back where I came from. Some fast lizards over there I tell ya.

Oh man, last night I spent the better part of an hour or two trying to beat a tough enemy (for those curious, it was the
Lynel
). It was as challenging and thrilling as some of the bosses I've faced in Bloodborne and the Souls games. I'm not even sure I was supposed to be fighting it at this point, but that's the beauty of this Zelda... it lets you decide that for yourself. No annoying sidekicks dissuading you or artificial gates preventing you from trying. After many attempts, I was finally successful, and I learned a ton about the dodge/parry system as a result. By the time it was over, I only had a torch left, no shields, I was running out of food, and all I had to finish it off were standard arrows. So insanely good.

Getting this game on the Wii U put getting a Switch on the backburner. I was originally going to get a Switch with Zelda, but couldn't find one, and now I probably won't get one until Mario.

I have thought about if I'd rebuy the game or not. I tend to return to open world games I like every few years, Oblivion, New Vegas and Skyrim get played by me once every few years, so I imagine I'll get a hankering for me in a year or two down the line.

If you can manage to kill one, the weapons Lizafos drop are really good, reliable early game weapons

Mimo on Eventide Island....

I had about 30 rings and he gave me quite a lot of rupees. Do I get something special if I manage to get them all in one go? Not sure if that's even possible.

I did a perfect run (36 rings, I believe) and he gave me the same amount as he did if I would have gotten 30.

You can seemingly switch courses mid way and get more than that if my calculations are correct. I'm waiting till my stamina is super high before trying.

Its a great place to grind rupees regardless.

I
nocked a bomb arrow
on
Eldin Canyon
and totally didn't expect that it would
explode immediately in my face due to the heat.

I LOVE IT

The Switch t-shirt is ridiculous lol

It clashes with the entire game and doesn't even try to hide being an advertisement. And I own the Wii U version! Why isn't it a Wii U shirt?

It also took awhile for me to even find it.

It's so hot there that you can actually just drop food on the ground and it will cook! I love that Nintendo went the extra mile with these little details and realism based on their physics and temperature engine :)

Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do with the shrines that haven't risen out the ground yet? I've encountered a few but could never figure it out.

Killing enemies with fire and ice weapons cooks and freezes foods accordingly as well.

Yeah - there's that glowing orange metal circle that's near the first great fairy fountain in Kakariko Village - I think I'm supposed to drop something in the center of it and I have no idea what though lol

Does anyone know the solution?

It's a sidequest. Go talk to more villagers and do so at different points throughout the day and throughout the game.

I've done a bunch of other shrine quests and I can't figure this one out.

I've also independently solved a few without getting the shrine quest explicitly which is cool.

There's a goron near the food grill that tells that as well. As a result travellers don't buy his food anymore.

OK, so is there any earthly reason to hold on to beetles that I've found? Seems like you can cook them or give them to Beedle, are those the only options?
