I do detest that every game is turned into a soulborne game. There is absolutely no reason for Zelda to have one hit death bosses in the first dungeon.

You're approaching it the wrong way. There is no "first" dungeon. Dungeons don't mark progress in BotW. You can max out your hearts and get the game's best armor before ever tackling a boss.
Thanks for the tips. Time to go grinding stuff then. Such a weird mechanic for a Zelda game, getting to a dungeon boss but being underpowered and having to leave.
You're never underpowered. Link is more capable at the start of BotW than he has ever been before.
Most shrines you think need arrows can normally be done using clever bomb placements.
I recall a shrine "two orbs lead the way" or something, where you're supposed to lock two orbs into place to activate a moving platform, that I solved simply by using a bomb on a switch and getting a running jump over it + activating the paraglider. Bombs are versatile. They are the only weapon that is always on you.

There's a silver version of that enemy that the guidebook says is arguably the toughest enemy in the game. I haven't encountered that one yet.

Just did him too. Had only 4 hearts at the time and went through a lot of meals fighting him. It was an awesome fight that got me to learn to trigger flurry attacks though. In the end I needed no shield and 2 weapons.

I died around 3 times and forgot to take a picture the last time I finished him off :(

Edit: It was also the second one I saw - the first one had a different element, killed me instantly and after that I just ran like hell :P

Cook some special food, change the gear you're wearing, etc...games that require you to put in a modicum of effort and planning aren't Soulsborne-tier difficult.

did you beat all four dungeons? Silver monster appears way more after that! You can find a silver lynel in the arena (just north after the great plateau), or all the way up to the north west (the big snowy plain left to the labyrinth)

I did. Last time I visited the arena I only encountered a White one.
. Maybe that's on the German translation though. Are the White and Silver one indeed two different enemies?

Awesome game thus far chock full of things to find and very detailed. Like many folks have said, I can't put it down.

By Fall and Christmas this year, there will be several games which will entice you to buy a Switch, and BOTW is one of them.

Things are looking up for Nintendo and this system.

You can tackle the dungeons any order you want, but the game is certainly trying to lead you to that area first.

However, the boss shouldn't one hit kill you if you are properly equipped. Upgrade your equipment, eat food that give you bonus hearts and other buffs etc. Those things are there for a reason - and people who are struggling are usually the onces who decided to ignore all of them.

yes they're different, maybe it's just random where a silver lynel replace a white lynel after a red moon

Where is a food place to find white chu jelly? I read you could make some by taking the blue one and dropping it in a cold place but it isn't working for me on top of a snowy mountain. Any tips?

The second photo in the album. I could swear that's somewhere around the great plateau. Is it? Been looking for a while now.
Look at the style of trees and the mountain in the background. Such an area could maybe be found
directly north of the northeastern shrine on the Great Plateau
. Look for a glowing spot.

I've encounter several places where I'm pretty sure you need arrows. Especially, often, there's no chance you could send a bomb that high to cut a rope unless I've missed something...

Rough direction:
A bit north from it, south of the castle

More precise
west of Comolo pond/lake, IIRC

General advice, not really a spoiler
the gemini mountains gives you a really nice line-of-sight information, just move away from them to the west while keeping some space between both of them, and you'll find the spot

What is the logic of the Master Sword? It was showing as 60 (stat) now its back to 30? What causes its power level to fluctuate?

It's only at full power when fighting corrupted guardians (AKA the ones outside of shrines), the dungeon bosses, and the final boss.

What items are meant to be sold? I'm kind of hoarding things and have money
I wonder, too, I've yet to sell anything just in case I may regret it...

(well, I don't buy anything either, and I'm close to 3000 rupies just from the field... so I don't feel exactly the need, but still)

I err...Think I got some by freezing and killing chuchus with an ice rod/arrows?

I still don't know if the gems like Opal, Sapphire, Ruby etc have any use other than to be sold

I sold some gems but kept at least 10 or each. Don't sell diamonds I am told or luminous stones.

Anyone willing to sell it's Wii U so I can play this darn game that's always on my mind? lol At a good price of course haha, I live in montreal quebec canada.

I was about to buy the switch, but I just ain't sure if the price difference is worth it seeing how I would pretty much only buy it for Zelda.

They're actually useful because they're
not rolling away all the time
I only use square bombs unless I'm up high and need to roll a bomb onto some monsters below me. Square is way better for placing against walls, ore, puzzles, etc.

I really wish you could tame Lynels. Sadly the only option is to punch them and get some free damage.

Decided to make the fire dungeon. On my way to the northern mine there is this lady behind the red rocks. How do I get her out of there? I take it that I have to use the canons but how do I adjust them?

Anyone?
